I made most of the assets in this (Though I did download a few, those are in the description). It took me a little over 5 months to make them. Mostly because I reworked them half way through as my skills got better.
The husk transformation animation could have been alot more brutal but overall quality was still nice considering you made the majority of the assets, i like the end part alot with the red light and the husk turning to the camera.

Personally as an Animator myself, I'd have taken the approach of the person collapse onto the ground and enter a seizure till they stop moving, then they slowly get up with uncanny movement. This is me following how Husks are parasite eating you inside out causing internal organ failures then taking over your shell of a body. Bear's way kinda reminds me of Dying Light with that yellowish vision but he did well showing hints of what is to come with the wall paint and the infected crawler swimming into the camera. Much better information for none barotrauma player. Although it could have used a scene showing a pierced part of the suit and character movement showing pain as oppose to losing control. If you happen to read this Bear, I'd like to see your own view on the idea.

This is some top quality stuff! And don't think I didn't notice that damn crawler! I'd love to see more of this, 3D barotrauma is something that everybody wants to see! (also I'm showing this to all my friends with the slightest interests in the game because DAMN this is good)
I love the atmosphere of the submarine so much, while playing, i never really thought of just how claustrophobic submarines are, this animation landed the feeling of it perfectly, and i love it

A hole in the hull just gets an effect of water spraying in, and the water level in that compartment just slowly rises. No need for sloshing or anything. If you open a door into a compartment that is flooded, you just add an effect of water spraying out, and the water levels equalize between the two compartments.
The fog inside the mask when he breathes. My God. I've seen professional big budget productions leave out details like that, but it just *oozes* atmosphere in such a way that it really does deserve the budget devoted to it.
Actually, some of those sound effects (the growls, specifically) seem to be those of the Flood from Halo. Source: Someone who's played Halo more than enough to easily recognize Flood sounds pretty much instantly. (Edit: More specifically, 1:08 and 1:28-1:35.)
0:26 I'd like to just say that sound effect threw me for a loop when I first heard it in game because Marathon also uses that sound. Only in Marathon it's for item pickups.
So basically it seems that this is a pov of an engineer fighting off a couple husk crawlers while also probably powering up the reactor. Dudes ends up showing us a flash back and showing that he is using the dugong. He ends up getting infected and proceeds to transform into a husk (human).

Which is a problem because the loss of motor control, namely those related to the continual act of standing upright is a very apparent sign of the late stages of the infection.
Ah man, this is the thing I want to see. As much as I appreciate a gaggle of fools screaming and laughing their heads off its nice to see the setting's horror given its due, even if only for a moment.
Man, now I really want to play a 3d Barotrauma that plays like Void Crew and feels like GTFO. Imagine floating along with your crew on a regular delivery, and someone screams from the next room over, only to be followed by the sound of rushing water. That omnidirectional sound would be nothing short of nightmarish.
Glad right now barotrauma is not a 3d game cos seeing a latcher emerge from the deep filling the bottom of my screen for first time in 2D was enough to have me nearly crapping my pants in shock and disbelief let alone experiencing the equivalent of your fantastic scary trailer for myself in 3D hahahaha what an expertly crafted animation video that was...top notch stuff 🙂

The reactor and electrical panels were nice. The husk needs some work IMO. I know its harder to model living things tho so im not blaming the guy.
Sounds were from Halo. I immediately recognized that sound bite.

I think the lack of clear distinction between a husk-infected person and a full on husk adds to the creep factor

Husks dont burst through soft tissues they just crawl out of throat and initiate body control later

It's crazy how scary a crawler coming through a flooded deck is in first person when in the game it's a nuisance.
