- Nisyros is a volcanic Greek island located in the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most popular excursion places mainly from the island of Kos, which is located in the north. On the island you will find the picturesque town of Mandraki with an ancient fortress in which there is a male monastery and especially a beautiful view of Mandraki. The main destination for all visitors is the crater of the volcano stefanos and the village of Nikia with a beautiful church and a view of the whole crater Stefanos. Another beautiful view of the crater is from the village of Emporios, where you can have lunch at the local tavern Balcony or visit the port of Pali with lots of taverns and beautiful sandy beach. That's "my island"....I have visited it few years ago...the volcano site is awesome.... there is peaceful atmosphere, serene thoughts you are happy with....blue and white colours embracing on every little narrow street you walk on....good food for your soul and not only ... , for sure you wish to come back here one day... )

For some reason I prefer the first version from Nisyros probably because the shooting was more early and not evening and the weather was more wormer

Can you recommend trips to Nisyros and Mandraki ? If so how much is the 3 Island Trip from Kardamena Port? I am a 25 year seasoned Holiday Representative which had to, Very reluctantly give up in 2015 and I was in a Coma for 4 months but I😮 have decided to go to Kos for 14 nights and Celebrate 10years post Coma. Any 😢advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I don't know, what does "enjoyable" island mean to you? Samos is much bigger, so it offers a lot more places for hiking or swimming.
