My little guy tinker, had the same thing , the veterans here in Indiana told me not to bring him in to their office because he could be contagious he past away two days later, there has been alot of people here that has gone through this with their dogs , something is going on and the veterans aren't telling us, now my other dog has been sick , I have been praying that someone will find out what is really happening, love and prayers,
Oh no, Tina! I hate to hear that. I hope you all figure out something soon. Smoky is definitely back to his old self now. He was JenJen’s boy when I was up there on Saturday. Thanks again for following! -Jennifer
It was so wonderful to see Smoky running down to the creek! My heart was breaking for him, sounds like he was really, really sick. One thing about dogs and cats both, when they are sick one day is like four days of us being sick, they get worse so quick. So hope he is back up to "Smoky Speed" now. We all love him so much. Your gardens look wonderful! #SMO #SmokyMountainOutpost #Smoky #Dolly
Lots of worry when your dog get's sick, I hope for a speedy recovery for ole Smokie, the logs look like good ones for when you get ready to build the barn.
I'm glad smoky is doing better. When you said he was throwing up and foaming at the mouth ,I thought for a minute he might have gotten bit by a rabid animal. But I'm glad to hear he's doing much better. your garden is looking good. Everyone needs a garden the way prices are going up on food. Are you clearing out done trees and bushes. The place looks good.
Richard, watering at the bottom of each plant helps the plant as it has a need for immediate water. However, water placed away from the plant does more. As the plant draws water it causes the roots to expand and the water picks up more nutrients needed by the plant.
So sorry to hear about Smokey, I hope he will soon be back to his old boisterous self, it's a worry when they are ill, because obviously they can't tell you what's wrong.
It was such a worry when he is sick because like you said he couldn’t tell us. He is on the mend though and back to his silly Smoky self. Thanks for following! -Jennifer
Sure enjoyed the video after they got our power back on. It was out for an hour and half which wasn't bad at all. Your video was really good. Sure hope Smoky gets over whatever he ate and quits chewing on everything especially the plastic he had. The gardens and berry patches are looking great. Keep up the good work and videos and won't be long before your helpers will be there more often. Stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.
So glad Smoky is feeling better. I did notice in the last part of the previous video before the one smoky got sick you had told him to stop eating the poison ivy I wonder if that is what made the guy sick. The Outpost is looking great!
Prayers he gets over from what he has. I know it isn't good for them to chew on wood. I would like to try ramps some time, because they don't grow around Iowa. Not that I know of.
Maybe nothing ,but I noticed the black lab chewing on something white or shiny while you were talking to Brian. Possibly a piece of metal, aluminum or something he cant digest . I just noticed he was chewing on it for a while and it sounded hard ,and at one point he dropped it. And it was small . Just thought I would mention it , you could watch the video to see it for yourself.
Hi, from the UK. Good news about Smokie, but don't think much on your golf swing, Richard , did you find your golf ball . Love in Christ . Ron Gal. 6;18
The high cost of medical care for both mankind and animals is unconscionable. It seems as though empathy no longer exists when it comes to healthcare needs. I am so glad Smokey is getting better.
There was a point that you were standing next to the tree that it was on the other day you told smoking not to eat it it was poison well he was chewing on it behind your back I wonder if that would be it
Rudy, just remembered that too and most definitely a big possibility. Went and double checked the previous video and he's constantly chewing on some or the other plant material, including the poisonous stuff. 😟 An option is to spray lemon or vinegar slightly diluted with water, on poisonous plants around the house.
Saludos desde España, siento lo del perro pero no sé si puede ser la causa pero en el último video me pareció ver que comía esa enredadera venenosa quizá pueda ser eso. Que se recupere y adelante ccon los videos tan interesantes
He might have bitten, licked or eaten a toad/frog. His intestines are irritated hence the bad stools, vomiting and excess saliva secretions. Watch them at the creek especially when they dig into/scratch at the sand banks. I've had a similar thing happen to one of my dogs. Glad he feels better tough. 🤗 Greetings from a cold Cape Town, South Africa - entering our winter now. ☔
Good Morning. Glad Smokey is on the mend. Vet prices are insane like up here. I swear they have a licence to steal. Thought about another dog but at my age Ill pass. Everyone have a great day.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost well most dogs know by instinct if certain plants are poisonous but he could have got ahold of a stick that may have had some poison ivy on it no telling he is so rambunctious he is always pulling at the roots while he is playing in the creek no telling but he looks like he is mostly back to himself hope so
