Matt you are always spitting knowledge and you have no idea you're doing it. You'll say something about jewelry and its something beneficial about life. I watch you all the time, great job!
I believe that pair wire is the best. Although if you are looking for sterling silver wire Rio Grande is the best for the sterling silver because they have many options of different sizes as well as half round and square
Hi! New subscriber here. I LOOVVEE YOU! Lol. Your energy is great.. you crack me up... and love the way you explain stuff! You are giving me soooo many ideas! Been wanting to work with wire for awhile... I’ve had a bunch just sitting there.... So found your rose earrings video where you used flattened wire.. twisted.. then rolled it to a rose and I’ve been addicted for 3 days! Lol. I had some pinkish flat 20 gage wire...I have made rose earrings.. rings... and bracelet cuffs making both ends a rose so it squeezes on your wrist. Same wire for the rings. I also curled a rondel faceted crystal in that first curl...nice and tight... then twisted the wire and rolled to a rose. Wish you could see what you inspired. 🙏🏼 For sharing your videos. One of my new fav channels 💖💖💖💖 Happy crafting 🤗
P.s. SOOOOO happy you said 90 percent is adjusting... cause I’m like... how do I have so few pieces in 3 hours 😂 Was I really adjusting them for so long. 🤣😂 I’m a perfectionist like you when it comes to how the wire lays for sure!
How funny, I was just making my first ear cuffs tonight and it is a LOT harder than it looks! Everyone's ears are different too, no clue how you make them for others yet bc I can barely do it for myself. Lol
Hi, The silver wire Zebra is good and you can get it at Fire mountain gems. Pure cooper wire 25 feet for 5.24 is at home Depot. I just brought 2-22 gauge wire 75 feet for 1 roll, 180 feet for 11 .38 5.29 each. If I can remember other places, I will let you know.
You are AMAZING at what you do. Thank you so much for inspiring me. You explain well, make it fun, and not to mention your awesome personality! I am blessed to have come upon your channel. Subscribed, subscribed, and yessssssssss, I totally SUBSCRIBED!!! THANK YOU!
These ear cuffs are magical! So pretty, relatively easy, very popular and saleable. Love the stained chopstick idea! You are so creative and talented, dude!
I have found that the 18 ga silver or titanium (antique looking) silver is and has been harder and kinkier than antique copper and antique bronze. I moved down to 20 ga to make it easier on myself. My supplier is Parawire. They have given me great cutomer service, i 'think' the process of coating dead soft copper with silver and then another coating of enamel, might be the unavoidable result of the kinks and hard temper. But, I'm not a science major. I'd love to see what you might find that is better.
Linda, Parawire is the one who has had problems with their silver. Silver coated copper used to be soft, no matter where you got it from, like regular copper or brass. They kept saying every batch comes out different and they have no control. I will try other companies and see if other places have this problem.
I have been using raw copper much softer and more malleable. Also, if you cut your wire with the flat side toward the part you’re keeping it’s a smoother end.
It will be interesting what you find regarding the silver. I find Artistic "nicks" if you will and gets sharp edges. I generally use raw dead soft, but keeping an inventory can get expensive.
Matt when you find a good wire supplier please let us know. It's very expensive in craft stores for so few feet and I've been searching too. Many thanks😊
I need help! I'm needing a collet for my battery-operated bead reamer...can you tell me where to get one or what I need to look for? Anyone that knows please let me know. I've searched the internet but I first need to know what to look for and where to get it would be helpful. Thanks!

I really am in awe at what you create and how simple you make it look. Thanks so much. Everything was absolutely stunning. A question what would you charge for 1 of them? A ballpark figure. Much love and hugs as always. You're the man!! I've gotten alot of my parawire at JTV.COM. They have some awesome deals on kits with different colored parawire and sizes. Question, I was gifted a bunch of stainless steel wire. Super tough on the fingers, but the gauge has me a little perplexed. It looks approximately 18 gauge. Are calipers what I need to figure this out?
I thought you used para wire.. I read thru some of the comments and saw your post about it. maybe they sent the half hard instead of the dead soft. Have you made toe rings by doing 2 bendy parts?
MellyAnn, I had many conversations over the phone with the people at Parawire. They insist every silver batch comes out different and they have no way to control it. It used to be as soft as plain copper - then it got harder, then harder, then softer, then so hard the last time I bought a giant spool, I almost found it worthless.
I so want ear cuffs!!!! Matt is this real silver ? Can;t wait to give this a try. No silver wire here but will try on other wire to get the hang f it. I do have some stainless steel but the gauge might be too small. I think it might be 25 or 26?? Forget now. I was making French beaded flowers with it. Was so fun.

They're very comfortable. The only challenge is they have to be very carefully adapted to each ear or they still fall off fairly easily.

Question, I was gifted a bunch of stainless steel wire. Super tough on the fingers, but the gauge has me a little perplexed. It looks approximately 18 gauge. Are calipers what I need to figure this out?
No, stainless steel wire is very heavy and difficult. Use it for cuffs or tying down ships or holding prisoners
Yeah my thoughts were for cuffs; fun shaped bookmarks and such. Maybe adjustable rings?
Btw yes it’s very difficult. Made one cuff and my tiny fingers were sore the rest of the day.
