    Hello Christa- I love your videos! I have a couple of questions: Is the magic knot very secure even after laundering? Would you recommend this over weaving in the ends?

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  6 років тому +1

      Hi! I use this technique on thin yarns, and whenever I can. Just not when I am changing colors each row - I prefer to fasten off and join a new yarn when changing colors each row. Or if your yarn is very delicate, I join the old fashioned way - like silks - when the yarn would break making the knot. Washes like a dream! xx!!

    i love the knot but wondered how to you make it work when you are following a graph.. there is 1 stitch of one colour and then 2 of another... How long do I make the tale to knot?

    • @SecretYarnery
      @SecretYarnery  4 роки тому

      Hi Cindy! To make the knot in the right spot, you have to crochet up to where you want the color change to be, and then cut the yarn leaving a 1 or 2 inch tail. Undo your stitches, and make the knot - leaving the same amount of tail.

  • @TheZencha

      I use the Weaver's knot and I went from having a small bump in a stitch to having a gigantic stitch or 2. Apparently I'm terribly hard on everything because there is not a knot in existence that can hold through the washing machine. I tried this knot for a while, I messed up the tension on the sweater I was making and had to tear it all the way down and MANY of these knots had gotten so loose they definitely were going to survive one trip through the washer. The Weaver's knot is way too bulky but I trust it

      Hi, Debcollette Sam!! For acrylic yarn is stays for sure. Same with cotton. But some other natural fibers - the ones that break when you pull them, or the slippery ones - those can fall apart. Please see my newer video that explains more: ua-cam.com/video/s7cPt_KoSU8/v-deo.html 🌻🌺🌼
