- This vide is the culmination of 15 hours worth of photography conducted over 2 weeks. I was trying to get a photograph of Kingfishers and got many photos of other birds in the process. I will share the photos in this video and give you some facts about each bird.
Hope you enjoy this video and your photography

Great video, have spent many 100 of hours watching and photgraphing Kingfishers in the wild without a hide. It's a great way to spend time and I never ever leave the area without a huge smile on my face. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful photos and footage and interesting facts. What a great place to spend some time, and soon the trees and shrubs will be bathed in green, which will make a wonderful backdrop for your future kingfisher images! Envy you the hide and pond all to yourself!!
So glad to hear you had some encounters with the kingfisher even if they weren't brilliant. It was great to be on the zoom connection while you were in the hide in live time waiting for it to appear. Very much felt the anticipation and wondering if you'd be able to spot it and photograph it! Great to have these kinds of videos where it doesn't all work out great, because as you say - they are still moments when you enjoy your photography.
Exactly, I will still put out videos even if there aren't stunning pictures. It is real photography and I still enjoy it.
im so jealous off your hide! great video
Hi Darrell we loved the Kingfisher photograph and the one of the Teal with its wings out. We think part of photography is waiting to get the shot that you want it makes it more interesting. Thanks Jon and Sandra
Definitely, there was an awful lot of waiting involved in this video.
Great video Darrell. How fab to have your own hide! Well done👍👍
I am lucky. My garden shed is a hide too and last week's video was filmed from there.
Interesting video! Love the photos of the kingfisher.
Thanks it is a shame they didn't put on a better display. I went down at the weekend with no showings.
10 years into my photography hobby, the Kingfisher remains my “target”. Living in Florida, the birding opportunities are vast & varied - and have enjoyed much success with most - but not the Kingfisher. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Gary. Good luck with searching for the kingfisher and make the most of those Florida birds.
Another great video Darrel. Cheers mate 👍
Thanks Mick glad youbenjoyed it.
Brilliant video mate! Cheers.
