Nice video, as always, Darrell. I was going to ask if it was Rudyard Reservoir but I think someone has answered it for me! I passed the res en route to Carsington Water last week and it seemed a decent spot. Nice photos! Cheers, Mark.
great Video Darrell. I noticed that you use very high shutter speed on some of your shots eg the Dunnock at 5000 and some were as high as 12000. Is there a reason for this ? They are fantastic pics.
always greats images and video. I find the Z8 and z180-600. quite heavy for a walkabout. A monopod is ok occasionally but a tripod doesn't work for walks. What's your ideal ?
Thx Darrell. Great shots. I have that camera/lens combo together with the 1.4 tele as required and I’m more than satisfied with the bird shots I can get. It’s a very portable combo with outstanding IQ. I was wondering with the light you get over there (I used to live in the UK but not now) why you use such a high shutter speed for some of your shots ?
Hi Darrell Lovely photographs of the Bluetits. It is a lovely place Rudyard Lake to visit, we quite often go there. Thanks Jon and Sandra
It is a great place.
As always, super photos and footage, and an interesting commentary about the area.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Fantastic photos! ❤🐦
Thanks.

Quite right it is Rudyard.
Brilliant video mate, great shots. 👍 Cheers
Many thanks!
Great video, I want that 100-400 lens so bad, just above my budget.
Best of luck!

I use aperture priority and when hand holding higher shutter speeds are a bonus.

I have no problem with my 100-400mm. I am expecting delivery of the 180-600 in the next week so keep an eye on the channel to see how I cope.

I prefer higher shutter speeds when hand holding. I nearly always use aperture priority and the camera decides the shutter speed.
@@DarrellOakdenPhotography ok. I understand
Aah, good ol' Rudyard. Keep meaning to have a wander down there now I have a telephoto.
it's a great walk and lots of opportunities.
Beautiful green location with cute little birds 🐦
