DoNot Iron Hex “Climax” consumes all souls held. It scales its damage up according to how much is consumed, up to a cap of 5k. It’s very powerful. If Ray D had 5k instead of 7.8M, it would’ve done the same damage. But Ray D is a badass, and dgaf.
Hey Ray, i know a lil' secret for ya'. In NG+ and beyond, some chests get replaced by Mimics. I know of at least 2 locations. 1: In the Iron Keep, the treasure chest that holds the Thunder Quartz Ring+1, right next to the Belfry Sol bonfire. 2: When going from Majula to Forest of Fallen Giants, it's the chest that is before the lever for the slow gate that contains a Rusted Coin.
I wondered why I got grabbed by a Mimic in that one before Forrest of The Fallen Giants. I never could understand why it happened as it didn't the game before! Thanks I knew I was not too crazy!
I actually encountered the 2nd one just yesterday. It really took me by surprise. At first I was like was it always like this or did the ng+ changed it. Good to know that it was just on NG+.

When i first told other people about this, some of them considered the possibility of hackers putting that there rather than this being an intended change. So i guess you can refuse to call this a secret, but you can do so for every single thing in these videos so far.

Criticism is surely deserved for this game, i've had my fair share of hiccups, but this was probably the most ambitious game at NG cycles. Heck, Dark Souls III has upgraded rings in higher NGs, but then added even better versions in the 2nd DLC, making the NG+ ones useless aside from the very few that didn't get a better version in the DLC. (And to get the All Rings achievement, i do believe you need every version for that *aside* from those in the DLCs.)
The amount of little details and tricks scattered throughout the world in Dark Souls 2 blows every other game in the series away. I'd argue this is the most replayable game of the Souls series (Even though Dark Souls 1 is my personal favorite).

There's SO MANY. And they can be almost anywhere. Character moving weird while walking by a spot? Better attack it to make sure. Message implying an invisible enemy is there? Amazingly likely not trolling. The fact that they just drop trade stuff for the bird nest is a bit frustrating, though.

Ds2 was the first of the souls game that I ever played, and I was pretty nervous and scared to enter certain areas like the shaded woods, and black gulch, so I never fought the rotten. But I did grind like a madman so my soul memory was huge and when I got to the shrine of winter it just opened despite never fighting more than a few bosses.

But as the time passed and I finished the game, I started feeling nostalgic. Then I saw past those afore mentioned things and looked at the things that it did best than its counterparts. Things likes weapons, fashions and pvp(best in all SoulBorne). It's true that a lot of areas feel ganky to the first time player but once you know what to do and are humble enough to change your play style from blindly rushing to taking a step back and thinking it through, the same areas become breeze. As for the beauty of them, most are shitty indeed as compared to other games. As for shrine of ammana, I feel players are just haunted by the pre nerf area. Otherwise, it is very unique and one of my favourite. It's also true that DS2 did some the shitty area really well. Gutter for example, whenever you look at the lit torches at the end you feel really good. Compare that to the poison swamp of DS3 ( or Irythil dungeon) and poison swamp of Bloodborne. The other main thing that people rightfully complain about is that DS2 base game as very underwhelming bosses. Which is again very understandable. The only boss that actually stand out from the base game are Sinner, Mirror knight, Velstad and Dark Lurker ( which has the problem of needing an effigy every single time). However the DLC has like some of the coolest bosses in the entire series ( Ivory king, Fume knight, Sir Allone). In the end what I feel shitty about the people that shit on DS2 is that they will ignore the things that it did better and ignore the things that other did very poorly. (Except for Bloodborne, which is an almost perfect game, the only thing bad about is that it's PS exclusive 😭😭😭).
There's the secret that if you turn the volume up and listen in the middle of the shrine in things betwixt you can still hear the thunderstorm of the former world you left behind.

Interesting thing about that Shadow unseen in Forest of the Fallen Giants. It might drop different things depending on whether you have the Eye of the Priestess. Between al 3 ds games, ds2 is the one i most remember...there´s just something about it.

Interesting thing about that Shadow unseen in Forest of the Fallen Giants. It might drop different things depending on whether you have the Eye of the Priestess. Dunno for sure, I only just started my playthrough so I didn't have the eye and got a Smooth and Silky Stone, not a Petrified Something. Can anyone confirm if there's a difference?
The invisible hollows all just drop a random nestling trade item, nothing to do with the eye.
