Misdiagnosis on a 2015 Peugeot Boxer From Halfords MOT :Boxer front shock coil spring change

Welcome to my channel. Today we have a 2015 Peugeot boxer with front driver side suspension weighing the vehicle to the side.
Customer brought this vehicle to us as MOT had failed as negligible damping effect on shock absorber on driver side. The MOT also showed that they have failed the rear coil spring, however this vehicle doesn't have a coil spring of that type. But after doing a thorough inspection there was nothing wrong in the rear. The MOT was failed on the wrong thing.
After inspecting the two front sides of the vehicle, i found out that the drivers side coil spring was broken in two. The MOT certificate had stated that the shock absorber had a negligible damping effect in that side, but said nothing about a broken coil spring.
So we got down to work by replacing the whole leg. We got a new shock absorber, new top mount & a new coil spring.
There was nothing wrong with the shock absorber, as i took it out & tested it. But as the MOT stated otherwise, we replaced the whole leg as the coil spring needed changing as well.
The job wasn't the easiest, as you only had access after opening a part of the dash inside the vehicle. But with some time we got the job done as always.
