How do I make the jutted out stuff glow without animating it? Like with your zombie you have the feat, hands, and head have more depth and stuff, so I wanted to know how I would be able to make stuff like that glow but I don't want it to be the whole thing.
Idk if you do behavior packs or not, but if you do can you show a video on how to make a villager talk by switching the trade with a talking behavior function? It would be really helpful for a RPG map, and i would rather have that then commands.
Do you mean that they will print text in the chat window when you interact with them or play a specific sound instead of their normal "hmms" it sounds like something that is a bit out of my depth and knowledge at the moment but if I continue to explore Minecraft modding into deeper and less vanilla areas I will let you know :)
I've tried to put emissive texture on my zombie, but it doesn't work. I don't really what I am doing wrong. I will try to fix this. Btw, your tutorials are really good. :D
I might be wrong, I'm just starting this out myself, but I believe the only thing you need to do is make a texture with the exact same name as the one you want to be below the emissive texture and just erase every pixel you dont want to glow and put _e in the name of the file you just erased some pixels
I have tried doing blocks with cit, but i really don’t get what codes i need to make it exchange the original block. I want to do like ctm, but with cit instead
Very helpful and straightforward. Thanks. THOUGH, how do I animate a certain part of a custom made model? A static TV, for example. I wanna animate the static but not the TV. How do I tell MC that?
For everyone who may have the same issue as me, don`t forget to set the file name to the .mcmeta with the .png too, I worked 3 hours to realise that I named the file totem_of_undying_e.mcmeta istead of totem_of_undying_e.png.mcmeta
I'm trying to make a Star Wars texture pack and I want the lightsabers to glow but cant seem to make the purple dye emissive. I think I'm not doing the text file thing right (emissive.properties). I would also like to make the lightsaber glow dim and then bright. I followed every step but I don't understand why you have four different redstone block textures. Also do I need adobe photoshop?
Also, the model worked when I was using regular textures but as soon as I added the purple_dye_e.png file it tuned the lightsaber into a regular diamond sword in game.
@@trewvaughn6170 The four redstone blocks are just the textures he used for his baubles, there's 4 of them because that is the length of the animation. The second copy of the four redstone blocks has the "_e" suffix to let optifine know that the animation also uses emissive texture. Check optifine settings to make sure that "Alternate blocks" is selected and "Emissive textures is also selected. Also check that you're using compatible versions of optifine and forge. Good luck!

YES YOU CAN! Make a custom item with a texture, make an item that is literally a player head, make the eyes emissive. equip it on your head slot. There is als oa plugin "cosmin" that lets you use cosmetic armor and combat armor at the same time also, you can make a mythicMob with the player model and animations, then /mob disguise [name of mob]
i made a custom model(modded entity) and i wanna know how can i make the texture from one of the parts of the model glow. like, im making a godzilla and i want to make his atomic breath/spiral ray glow. how can i do it? someone got a tip?

Alright so what you want to do is take your item texture and then copy that texture, then you need to edit the copied texture so that the texture is only the parts you want to glow, then name it the same exact thing as your original texture but add "_e" at the end (or whatever you set your emissive texture suffix to be)

I like your shaders!
Only has ambient collision effect!
Whats the name of your shaders? 😊
I'm using the BSL shaders. I've turned off/down a lot of the overwhelming effects though.

is it possible to make it glow more, like a torch for example?
For that you would have to code it having a light level
