Mike thank you so much for this, that’s really kind of you to say and I’m so happy to hear that you like my approach and find it helpful. Thanks again 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
@ thank you for your support, I will do just that and btw I have a gig this weekend and will see if I can utilise your ideas 💡. Regards John from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Nice video man , my grandfather gave me one of his alto sax, my mouth hurt so bad lol , so I tend to pick the most practical option so I can suffer and be happy because I’m getting better, and your video is one of those !
Brilliant Lynden, your lessons are so inspiring! I've 'loitered at the improvisation door' for years, not really knowing how to enter - you showed me the way in!
Hi Lynden great video by the way what i do is in my scale practice is play a major pentatonic then the relevant minor pentatonic & then I just add a sharp or flat 4 to the minor pentatonic scale to give me the relevant blues scale!
@@MrMeasurement thank you so much for saying that and I’m absolutely delighted to know that I’m helping you. By the way, Thailand is one of our favourite places on Earth and we absolutely love visiting your beautiful country. And it’s such a thrill to think of my videos being watched in Thailand so thanks again for reaching out 🤝🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎 🇹🇭🇬🇧🇹🇭🇬🇧🇹🇭
Hi George, no that won’t work. However if you played an A minor blues scale over a C major backing track that would work. In this video the backing track is set to D minor because we are working on a blues scale in D. 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎
Thank you so much Lynden for your simple to understand videos. I am keen to practise your blues scales licks on my newly acquired soprano. Do you have videos for the soprano?
Hello Lynden, What backtrack key should we look for when playing the D Blues Scale? In general backtracks on UA-cam are in Concert C so we have to look for Concert F key. Is that right?
Thanks
Colin thank you so much for your support, me and my family really appreciate it 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎
Thank you Lynden. I love the way you present your channel and really found this post of yours easy to take in and interesting!

Thanks again , should I take home that to improvise on a C major backing track , I should use D blues scale ?
