Time Lapse Construction of EV Fast Charging Station

(EVgo.com) If you think EVgo fast chargers are fast, watch our construction partners build an EVgo Fast Charging station in under two minutes! Located near the corner of W. Manchester Blvd. and N La Brea Ave., this is the first fast-charging station installed in the City of Inglewood. The new EVgo Fast Charging station includes four 50kW fast chargers capable of delivering up to 90 miles range in about 30 minutes. The chargers are equipped with both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, and available to charge all fast charge capable EV models, including Tesla Model 3, Model S, and Model X with a CHAdeMO adapter.
This site in Inglewood, CA was built by Electric Vehicle Infrastructures, a division of West Coast Construction Services, Inc. Construction began on February 11, 2019, and was completed in early September. It’s also one of seven Equal Access Charging Hubs (EACH) built across California as part of EVgo’s Communities Charging for Change program, which promotes more sustainable communities through public education and expanded access to EV fast charging. It's a new concept some I'm sure there were delays along the way, and there isn't a big rush because there aren't enough EVs on the street to utilize a hub like this yet anyway. How long does it take to build a new gas station?

The charger is in the car, so those are just power station, but they really like to call them charging station

@@surf2257 You are correct for L1 120v and L2 240v charging but "fast charging" is direct DC to the car receptacle so power conversion hardware for DC fast charging is external

@@surf2257 it is direct dc. When direct DC fast charging, the charger inside the car is idle besides hand shaking. For instance the 1st gen Nissan Leaf supports 50 KW fast charging but the internal charger tops out at 6.6
