And 10 year old me was too naïve to appreciate Tom Petty by himself, so I was disappointed. But when Axl Rose strutted out, I was SO happy. I had a VHS copy of this for years, and searched for years when mp3s first came to the Internet for a high quality recording of it. Now that I'm in my mid 40s, I certainly do appreciate Tom Petty, but this is still so damn cool.
Others have mentioned that GnR was inducted into the PDC, as a whole band, that is true...but I think Axl is worthy of a personal invitation & induction into the PDC, just for himself, as well :)

North Hollywood had the homes of the 1950s and 60s shown in the SitCom families still on Nick at Night. Farther east was Universal Studios. As recently as 1940s, the Valley was orange groves (the land speculation was the premise of such movies as China Town).
Another PDC performance from Axl and Guns n' Roses is 1988 you're crazy and used to love her live performance on some tv show, might have been mtv thing, or not... But it's on youtube! Not the best sound quality but it is guaranteed PDC for you!

I’m obviously torn about this video. While on one hand, I absolutely love Tom Petty and nearly everything he’s ever done. However, on the other hand, in my opinion, Axle Rose has never produced anything that I would consider worthy of listening to. Therefore, I found this to be disappointing, which is kind of what I expected going in, but I like your style so I thought I would give it a try. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
You’ve got to listen to John Mayer playing this song live. It’s really good, and I love Tom Petty, but John’s voice gives the song a bump in my opinion.
