This is so incredibly detailed and enjoyable to watch! I’m 34 but I have very dry, sensitive skin as well, so I tend to take makeup advice from women with beautiful, non-altered skin such as yourself because that’s what tends to work best for me, regardless of age. I really appreciate your perspective and work you’ve put in to this video!
I have managed to acquire a bunch of Dr. Barbara Sturm samples and bought a bottle of her eye serum when they had a special event at a Blue Mercury store. I'm thinking I probably have enough different things to use for maybe a month now, and so I will do that at some point fairly soon and then report whether it seems to make a difference. Those are expensive products! Thanks much for your suggestion and compliments. ❤
What a fantastic and thorough review! I am surprised by how pigmented those lip balms are-these are definitely going on my wish list. PS I love Spirited Away on you!
Thanks so much, Eva! I just got that Spirited Away shade a couple of weeks ago and do really like it. I'm starting to think that probably if I just kept buying the Luxuriously Lucent formula, every single one of those lipsticks would be a favorite for me! ❤
The look you have on in the very opening of the video looks absolutely gorgeous on you! Especially the eyeshadow. I am amazed at how well you can wear brighter lipsticks. I really like Wonder Wheel on you. My experience with Lisa Eldridge products… That’s a long list! I’ll just comment on my favorite and my least favorite. My skin felt so soft when I was wearing the elevated glow highlighter all over my face as foundation this past winter. Regarding least favorite product, I absolutely could not wear the liquid eyeshadow. I had quite a bad allergic reaction and returned it to the company (I had the copper color.) I’m shocked that the lip balm has flavor! One of the things I loved about Lisa Eldridge is that you don’t have to worry about fragrance or flavor in any of their products. Apparently that’s not necessarily true! I don’t mind vanillin in lipstick if I am in love with the product otherwise, but I would really prefer not to have it in there. Also, wanted to add that the kitten flick liquid liner looks really great on you too the way you did it!❤ I can’t do a wing either. I have like five folds of skin that fall down right exactly where the little kitten flick would need to be. No great loss for us!😂 there are plenty of other lovely looks we can do!
One of the things that I really like about the Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks is that they are pretty sheer, and therefore that some of those brighter colors look okay on me. I have been disappointed that Merit discontinued the Apertif red lipstick for that reason, but in looking at it on the video footage, I think that Palazzo actually is pretty similar. And Wonder Wheel also is bright but sheer, which makes it more wearable. The lip glosses are even more sheer but bright, so I am sad about not being excited to wear them because of the flavor. I think I will work on a video on red-type lipsticks for people who don't usually wear red lipsticks. I have accumulated quite a few now! I should try wearing that Elevated Glow highlighter on my bare skin, I think. And to try using the liquid eyeliner for everyday makeup looks. Thanks as always for your comments! ❤
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews I'd enjoy the video on red lipsticks! I wear red lipstick more since I had a color analysis and found out what my best red is. It's given me much more confidence since an expert said bright blue-red is one of my best colors. Do try the Elevated Glow that way. I had the Cosmic Rose shade, and it's lovely with the slight rosiness. I'll do that again next time I need to buy a liquid highlighter. I'm using up other products before buying more. You're so welcome! I feel like your channel is the "slow food" version of beauty. Rather than "Buy, buy buy!" it's "Let's thoughtfully consider which products might look great on you while keeping your skin healthy." I needed that!!!!!
Lisa, I have been meaning to and forgetting to ask if you’re aware if Nikol Johnson’s UA-cam channel and Beauty line. I don’t know about the ingredients, and I don’t think she claims to be clean beauty, but she is all about empowering mature women. You might enjoy checking her out if you haven’t already! I would love to see your review of her products if the ingredients suit sensitive skin. I have not purchased anything from her yet.
Yes, I do watch Nikol Johnson here on UA-cam and am especially impressed with her "getting ready" shorts. It is fun to see all those vintage clothes that she wears, and she does look really good in them. I have spent some time on her cosmetics website but haven't tried any yet - if folks have experiences with those, I'd like some suggestions in terms of which items might be most worth considering. ❤
I love the cleanser from LE as well. Mine lasted a full year and I used it almost every day. I am currently using a new Bioderma Micellar Water Oil with no perfume etc. This one is almost as good. Very close. And much cheaper (I don’t know how long the bottle will last though). I’m in Denmark- don’t know if it has arrived in your country yet? And: My favorite blush at the moment is a mix of LE highlighter in Pink Moon and the New Wave lipstick in a little old pot from RMS. It looks great. I’m nr.2 in the LE foundation.
Is this the cleanser that you have been using? Thanks for the suggestion - I'm definitely interested in some options in this category! amzn.to/4eoX627 I was really surprised at how well that New Wave lipstick worked on me as a blush. Mixing it with the LE highlighter does sound like an interesting idea. ❤
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews Yes. That’s the cleanser. I think, you’ll really like it. The New Wave looks very beautiful on you as a blush. Also I think all of the lipsticks suit you very well. I find it difficult to find the right lip color. Well New Wave looks good on me with a soft brush as a stain. I’m high contrast and pale.
Lisa Eldridge bought a lipstick case that had belonged to Audrey Hepburn at an auction and then tried out the lipstick that was in it in a UA-cam video. (She never said what brand it was.). It's my impression that the Go Lightly shade always was meant to be a limited edition and to dupe the shade in that case. Then Lisa Eldridge altered the shade somewhat (perhaps to make it more subtle and thus wearable by more people?) and re-introduced it as the permanent Dance Card. ua-cam.com/video/6gkKBAvi_CI/v-deo.html I had never heard of Lisa Eldridge while the Go Lightly lipstick was still being sold, but I do like Dance Card on my complexion. The Go Lightly lip gloss is similar, but it does have a lot of pearls in it to make it shinier. Thanks for your comment! ❤
Hi Lisa! I got my Baume embrace today and i agree, the scent is very unfortunate :( how would you say does the balm compare to the isamaya ones you reviewed a while back in terms of colour/performance and scent? p.s. i love that you review products in this calm, down to earth and fair way instead of overly hyping up or hating on products!
I still love the Isamaya ones and still feel that they are being highly overlooked. They do not have any fragrance and they taste/smell fine to me. They work MUCH better over matte lipstick than the Lisa Eldridge balms or really anything else that I have ever tried - somehow that is the magic formula to address the dryness that many matte lipsticks (e.g. Nars Powermatte, MAC) have, but without taking away the long-lastingness of it. They are not as moisturizing as the LE balms, and so I consider them to be in a bit of a different category - more like makeup, less like lip treatment. But they are good for my lips as well. I would say they are a little less pigmented than the two LE balms that I have, but they still do have some nice pigment to them. Some of them do have some pearls in them, so they are shinier. I still just have the four that I used for the review, but really am thinking that I should buy a few more since I may do a lip balm/gloss/conditioner overview-type video soon. Have I convinced you yet??? ❤
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews follow-up: i bought isamaya thorns&vanity and i agree, they are fantastic!!! :) :) very happy, thanks for your recommendation!
@@cheentzia Oh, that's so great to hear! I actually recently ordered some more of the Isamaya lip balms and so now will be able to demonstrate all of them (except for the one that is currently only available in the expensive case). So hopefully I can do that soon. ❤
My daughter bought me one for my birthday, along with some byredo and I thought it was an 'ok' tinted lip balm. Definitely not worth the price point as had to keep reapplying. Fortunately I was able to return the Wayne Goss products
Thanks for letting me know about your expereinces with those. I really liked the Byredo Mineralscapes and was thinking about buying their new smaller palette, but after hearing criticisms of it from Dear Eva Hansen, I'm not sure that I'm going to bother with it. The Lisa Eldridge balms are expensive for a lip balm! I was going to discuss my favorite lip balms in this video but then cut that part out because the video was so long. Probably I should do a "Lippies" video to discuss lip products other than regular lipsticks soon. ❤
I can’t use mine because of the scent. Headache and nausea. I’m VERY sensitive with allergies. So sad. The team responded very nicely and refunded. The answer from Lisa’s wonderful team: “Lisa and the Product Development team have used a synthetic vanilla aroma / flavor within Baume Embrace to enhance the user experience of the product. The formula contains a high proportion of natural waxes which can have their own odour. The aroma endures there is consistency and the waxes don’t overpower the scent. Therefore, the Baume Embrace formula is not classed as fragrance free”. I sincerely hope, it’s not a new trend for Lisa Eldridge to use aroma, scents etc. I wasn’t prepared for this, so I didn’t check before buying. I’ll do so before next time. I normally love her products although the skin tint also seems to irritate my skin. The foundation and the lipsticks are my favorite products.
Yes, I was very sad to find the vanilin fragrance in these as well, considering how much I have liked so many of her other products! Hopefully other people who prefer things to be unfragranced will let them know their feelings so that they will have more information when developing future releases. I'm really happy that you found this channel though, and hope you will share thoughts on other products in the future! ❤

Very informative. I can not wear plumping ingredients. Especially in lips as some ( expensive) brands have even given me inside lip mouth sores. What is the name of plumping ingredients in makeup that I need to avoid. I won't buy anything with flavours or fragrant. I am really pleased to find your videos. And, Not fit for Print videos.
A lot of those plumping lip products are designed to irritate the lips to make them look plumper. I do not think that is a good idea (at least for me) and so avoid those. The ingredient that does it the most is hot pepper (often described on the ingredient list under other names such as "Capsicum Frutescens Fruit Extract"). Some essentials oils also may be plumping - ginger root oil (Zingiber Officinale) seems to be especially popular. And menthol (often listed under various other names such as hexahydrothymol) also may be mildly irritating and thus plumping. On the other hand, some lip products may not include any of these ingredients and may instead be using peptides to (supposedly) gradually increase the skin health and plump appearance of the lips. One of those that I have especially liked is the new Haus Labs gloss, for instance. I'm very happy that you have found this channel and also am a big fan of Rebecca from Not Fit For Print Beauty. I am a member of her channel and also of her new FB group, too! FB Group: facebook.com/groups/notfitforprintbeauty
