Hi Lisa! Lovely thorough review/round-up. Here are the foundations I have found make my skin look the best, I've de-cluttered all the others but am always watching your channel for any new gems you dig up for us: Chantecaille gel and tinted moisturizer in the tube; Chanel not the lightest water tint one but the next one up with the beads; Rituel de Fille; Lisa Eldridge skin tint; Kosas foundation (not the one you found irritating); Clinique even better (I think that's the name, the lightweight one); and, I find the Cover Girl one with the beads gives a quite similar result to the Chanel one with the beads (not the water tint); Nars Light Reflecting. I do have some stick foundations but find they always look patchy and heavy on my dry skin so I usually use those for concealer. Thank you for all the hard work and research you do for us, we appreciate it! BTW I have sensitive dry skin also, and my skin tone is similar to yours so I find it easy to rely on your picks for a good match. Happy holidays to ya!
Thank you for sharing your list! I really like almost all of your picks, except for the RDF one which irritated my skin like crazy and the Clinique Even Better (the one in the glass bottle has butyloctyl salicylate in it so I haven't tried that one). I think the Chanel one is called something like Water Fresh Complexion Touch and I do like that one too. That is interesting that you liked the Cover GIrl one - I have heard mixed reports and did pick it up but haven't tried it yet. I will do that soon! ❤
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews I recall you didn't get on with the RDF ~ neither than or the Clinique one bother me, though I find I can't tolerate ones that have a lot of fragrance in them ~ the fragrance evaporates and stings my eyes. Terrific videos on your channel!
I like Haus Labs, KVD (for more coverage) and lately have loved Nikol Johnson’s BBCream & her Serum Foundation (Nikol Beauty.) This video was very informative!
Oh, that's interesting about the KVD product. I haven't tried that one, or the Nikol ones, but it sounds like I should! Haus Labs is definitely one of my favorites though. Thanks for sharing what has worked for you. ❤
This was so helpful! I would love to see a video about Kylie cosmetics. I like a very light coverage foundation. Lately I’ve been finding myself just using a glowy sunscreen (the RMS one) and throwing on the Tom Ford concealer all over my face as foundation. It’s so quick and easy and perfect!
I am thankful for the depth of your reviews, Lisa. I look forward to them. I am drawn to skin tints rather than foundations. I apply tints only where needed, in the T zone and on acne scarring on my neck. The Dolce and Gabbana tint is very flattering to you. Truly undetectable, it's your skin but a bit more refined, which is exactly what a skin tint should do. The RMS SunCoverup is too pale. RMS will match you if you send them a pic without makeup and in good light. 😊
Definitely that RMS SunCoverup shade is too light for me. I wonder if the other shades would be too dark though. Of course, if I bought one of those, then I could mix them together to get an in-between shade, but I don't think that people should have to do that. Thanks much for sharing your thoughts and I am glad that you have been liking this channel!! ❤❤
I've heard some good things about those foundations but every time I have looked into them, it has seemed that everything that they have offered has listed "fragrance" on the ingredient list and I do always seem to react when products list that. I do hope that they are working out for. you though! ❤
Lisa, my name is Lisa. I am 72 and just finished a year and a half of active treatment for breast cancer. I basically only had control of my skin and face during treatment, I have been loving Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin which is dewey coverage but lightweight and also Charlotte's Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint which is less coverage but I like it. I also use Makeup Forever HD foundation for fuller coverage. I almost always use Glossier Future Dew underneath which boosts radiance for everything, even when using Moira Powder Foundation. For sunscreen I use Iris & Romeo, Kosas Dream Beam and Coola. I have to wear a lot of sunscreen as I'm not supposed to go in the sun at all for three years since I did radiation. I love your in-depth reviews.
Thank you so much for sharing the products that have worked for you! I hope that things start to feel more normal for you now after all the recent challenges you have been through. Happy holidays to you! ❤❤❤
Probably the one that I use most often is the Jane Iredale HydroPure, which improves the look of the texture of my skin and is nice for my skin and makes a nice primer. It doesn't really have much pigment at all in it though. ❤
Thank you for all that you share. I value your input. The only skin tint I have found that doesn't make my skin look worse, is Lisa Eldridge Skin enhancing tint. My skin isn't bad at 62, but moist tints or foundation highlight lines & pores. Not Lisa Eldridge's.
Great info as always. I am not a fan of the Kardashians...but since you mentioned Coty being in charge, I wouldn't mind a video on Kylie products. Since your review on them were good.
I enjoy your comprehensive reviews of products. A dermatologist I follow whose skincare products are approved by the National Rosacea Society recommended Summer Fridays skin tint. This is a vegan, cruelty-free product. It is an excellent moisturizing product that provides a lovely tint I can wear over sunscreen.
I'm so glad that the Summer Fridays skin tint worked for you. I did try that right after it came out and unfortunately found that it irritated my skin. In looking on the Sephora site on the lowest reviews for the product, it does seem like quite a few other people had their skin irritated by it as well, in some cases pretty badly. But I agree with the dermatologists that the ingredient list looks pretty good and so I am still not sure what the issue was for me. I'm sad that that one didn't work for me though. ❤
Hi Lisa, I for one will not be watching any video related to K~Jenners, haha. But I’m really interested in the WA complexion drops, have you tried them and what do you think?
I did purchase the WA Complexion Drops when they were first released. I felt like it exacerbated the look of my wrinkles more than a lot of foundations, especially around my eyes, and I actually noted that being the case when Gucci Westman used it on some older women in the videos as well. I wouldn't say that it irritated my skin to the point where it was unwearable, but I don't feel like my skin liked it all that much, and in looking at the ingredients I do see some things (such as cottonseed oil and soybean oil) that seem likely to have some contamination with glyphosate. So that would be my guess as to why I didn't do better with it. A lot of people do like it though, and I do really like many of the other WA products including the foundation stick. ❤
Thanks, Lisa, for another great vid. I agree that the Typology tinted serum is great. But I also like the Westman Atelier one that you don't. Here's a tip for eyebrows: I FINALLY found a product that's not too dark: e.l.f.'s brow product in Taupe. It's got fuzzy bits in it, too. Their mascara is also brilliant - the same set up as Charlotte Tilbury's, but a fraction of the price, and way easier to put on.
I'd like to know which product from ELF you're talking about - is it a pencil or a tinted brow gel? I'm glad to hear that the Westman Atelier liquid foundation has been working for you! ❤
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews I checked: the lash thing is called Wow Brow Tinted Gel in Taupe. The mascara is Lash 'n' Roll. There is a brown version but its hard to find. Lisa Eldridge recently did a thing on it. She was impressed. e.l.f. apparently stands for eyes lips and face. Have fun trying them (I think I bought e.l.f. at Ulta last time I was in the US. . .)
Hi Lisa, thank you for a great video. I have a question. Which do you prefer - the Typology or the Rose Inc? And which of the two has more coverage? Thank you.
Hey Lisa please can I ask u is it possible to open the tube of Dolce Gabbana tint ? Cause I was thinking after it’s finished is it possible to pour another foundation in it 😅

No, unfortunately the nozzle part of that container is permanently attached to the bottom part! Good idea to want to reuse it though.❤
