- Almost all vehicles at a gathering of hot rods have stories, but some owners have both an interesting tale as well as rare insights into motoring history. This was the case when walking the show field at the 2023 Goodguys Nationals.
I just watched this again and am impressed with his modern GPS system, clock in the steering wheel, single bulb dome light, hood ornament, cab-mounted rear brake, and the dual-system brakes. This guy is a genius and has a wry sense of humor! Definitely my kinda guy! Wish he had started it up. I would guess the stock cam was more for torque than horsepower.
Very impressive truck. It is certainly news to me that Chrysler put the HEMI on air raid sirens! Damn - bet they were LOUD!!! Awesome truck and impressive engineering skills.
It was news to me as well. I saw the valve covers with 'Chrysler Industial' and had to ask the owner about the motor. Glad I did because it is always a good day when you learn something new and this was certainly a interesting story. Thanks for the comment, I'll pass it on to Gary...
