They did say during the live letter I believe that the seals will be Astro’s self buff. Also the last skill I believe is a rework time dilation/ time rewind skill. Because the Astro shielded the reaper and the shield was blown away and Astro used the last skill and the shield reappeared. I think it was some sort of time rewind skill.
Earthly Star is AST's Assize equivalent, and I don't think DoTs are getting an upgrade. Lord and Lady seem to be weak AoE damage and heal respectively. I have no clue what Divination does now. It's a buff obviously, but the mechanic with it is uncertain at this point. I am guessing that the seals affect the damage on the comet shower. Shield thingy is also uncertain, but I do like the idea of being some kind of time rewind that people are theorizing. The shield animation actually goes off again, and you just didn't show it. I like the direction is seems to be headed. I still think you should get whatever card you draw, but the one redraw per draw is a lot better.
Earthly Star is sort of an equivalent to Assize in a way, but it's also the AST equivalent of Sacred Soil/Asylum. They also specifically said in the live letter that AST was getting some form of an Assize-like ability.
@@overnightsiren Collective Unconscious is ASTs equivalent to Sacred Soil/Asylum xD. Assize heals and does damage simultaneously, as does Earthly Star, so I am not sure why there is confusion. The latter just has a delay to it, so it can be preemptively used. I also don't remember them saying AST was going to get an assize like ability (again they already have it). I do remember them saying that they wanted to give each healer something like Holy that has an additional effect, but wanted to avoid just having it be a stun. So we have yet to see what each healer's respective AoE damage skill adds.
@@ulibarriL Somehow I completely forgot about CU. Well, the case remains that the Minor Arcana are, based on the trailer, obviously an instant cast aoe damage ability and an instant cast aoe heal. That much is clearly evident in the trailer.
Sure, it seems that way with minor arcana. Lord and Lady are still separate, so MA is not an instant AoE heal and damage. What is clear from the LL showcase is AST still has Earthly Star, and I'm guessing it still damages and heals, but we have to wait for official tool tips.
One thing to note about lord and lady of crowns is that it likely also gets the 1 free redraw that normal cards get now. This means that you basically always get to choose which one you want, since if you didnt get it the first time you just use your free redraw. In that way it becomes completely consistent. Im guessing its just a stronger heal or damage potency than assize too. You can also keep a lady of crowns in your second card slot for a rainy day and always have it as a panic heal.
I personally do hope that one of the other healers gets an AOE slow added to their AOE DPS ability. I don't personally think it'll be overpowered if it scales off the same way as Holy. This way it's putting in a lot of work at the beginning when there's the most enemies and will lose effectiveness hopefully by the time a few of the enemies are dead or at least much weaker so that the tank doesn't need to burn all their defensives and the healer doesn't have to burn a bunch of MP on healing. Right now, White Mage is pretty much the ONLY healer I take into leveling dungeons where I don't know what level the dungeons will be because holy is fantastic and gives everyone a change to set up to burn things down quickly. For Scholar, what I would personally really love to see is just getting back shadow flare. Just...GIVE IT TO ME!!!
Thanks for making a video which speculates the rework of Astrologian. We don’t see much information so far from the developer to be honest. I hate the fact that nocturnal sect is sentenced to death. In my opinion, the healing offered by the lady of crown (if it turns out the ability really works this way in the end) is of no use. I did experience drawing 3 cards in a row which increase melee rather than ranged damage. The drawing of appropriate type of card is all by luck. Under emergency situation which requires healing, it is too late to draw and redraw card in order to get that lady of crown. I am somehow disappointed with the rework of Astrologian.
I mean if you hold the Lady Of Crowns it’s literally like an AOE Lily because it’s instant. That is very useful if planned correctly. Additionally it doesn’t look like Minor Arcana is part of regular draw but it’s own skill meaning you wouldn’t redraw for it. RNG has always been part of AST’s kit there is no escaping that, its literally part of the tarot idea. Also I understand the want to keep Nocturnal Sect but think about it, Astro would be way too OP and unbalanced compared to the other healers who are not as all-encompassing . The other option is getting rid of Diurnal which makes literally no sense.

AST has lower cure potency than WHM and an additional instant cure offered by lady of crown is just sth nice to here (provided that we have to draw card beforehand and with cooldown). WHM itself already equipped with many instant cure abilities like the Benediction, Afflatus Solace and Tetragrammaton. AST is far more complicated than WHM with no advantage over WHM.
Something to keep in mind is we don't actually know how drawing Minor Arcana works, so it might not actually be random. There's no information on whether it's true RNG, if you alternate between drawing the Lord and Lady, or if you have some way to control which you draw. It could also have charges, meaning if you do draw a Lady, you can afford to sit on her while your next Minor Arcana's cooldown refreshes. Also, AST has significant advantages over WHM; what are you talking about?
