Lord, this video is full of complaints from the taller guy..... I've been wanting lincoln to "come on with it" when it comes to tech and big screens. The nautilus is nice as hell, but the aviator is the perfect size 😢. I really wish they would've added the screen to the aviator, but they've been slow to add stuff to that vehicle anyway.
My thoughts as well. I like the screen and body of the Nautilus but the space and seating of the Aviator. The 2nd row caption seats are my fav. If it had the tech of the nautilus it'd be a no brainer.
Really like how Lincoln is structuring their lineup. The small two row and the small 3 row have very similar interiors, and it looks like the big two row and big three row are going to be shockingly similar as well after the 2025 Navigator comes out. The bigger ones for each category have the more upscale interior and the 48 inch, the little ones have the less upscale and 13.2 inch. On the outside, the Navigator and Nautilus will have sharper, more grandiose styling and a full grille light bar, whereas the Aviator and Corsair will have more rounded and conservative designs. They also differentiate themselves a LOT from the base consumer models, something other brands really struggle with right now. Lexus, Acura, and especially Cadillac do little to elevate their cars above the base models. The LC500 is the only Lexus that truly pushes forward as an actual luxury car, the Acura models have a lot of very small changes that add up to a decent change, and Cadillac just slaps on some design elements and a big screen. Lincoln goes all the way and changes everything but the body in white.
As a brand new Lexus RX 350h AWD Luxury owner, I have to admit that Nautilus is way more spacious. Not sure how it's possible to have 6 inches of extra rear leg room AND vastly more cargo volume considering they're the exact same length overall to the inch... I mean the rear leg room looks about the same to me but that cargo volume looks night and day bigger and Lexus offers no massaging seats in the RX. Then you've got all the futuristic screen stuff. I think that's a very compelling competitor to the RX, RDX, etc.
I’m had considered looking in to purchasing a Corsair until I heard you, more than once, state it was similar to a Ford Escape. That was a major turn off. Now I’ve got to keep looking around. I want one more (last) nice car now that I am retired. I am not sure to trust a Ford or GM (Cadillac) product only because of in my 20s to early 30s, I owned 7 brand new GM cars. Every one was a lemon…… major issues. I switched to Honda products and owned 7 brand new Hondas. Everyone a perfect car. 100,000 to over 200,000 miles on those cars and not one issue with any of them. I currently have a ‘22 RDX A-Spec Advance which I love (13,000 miles) but I’m craving a new car. Not sure which direction to turn. 🤔 Oh, and then you said the Nautilus is manufactured in China! Yikes! Check that off my list ☹️
The Nautilus is CURRENTLY built in China. It WAS built in the US and China, but they shut down US production so they could retool the plant for making EVs. IIRC, China is the 2nd largest market for the Nautilus.
The Nautilus panoramic display is stunning, but could it be too much of a good thing? Also it adds so many possible breaking points to the vehicle. Nothing causes so many hard to diagnose and fix problems as wiring and electronics. Yet, no digital rear view mirror and no side view in the instrument panel, the stuff you get in Kias half the price!
Its conservative. But I really appreciate the fact they didn't' slather Lincoln on every surface of the car. Especially on the inside (like the Grand Wagoneer) which I see as really cheap. Jeep really needs an abbreviation of that name. Like VW for example.
@@jacksonnordhues5961 The new Nautilus rides on a modified C2 platform mostly shared with the new Escape, Bronco Sport, and Maverick - The previous Ford Edge/Lincoln Nautilus rode on the CD4 platform.
No, it's based on a version of the global modular C2 platform that has been heavily modified from others. It has some basic relation to the platform that underpins Escape, Corsair, Maverick, and Bronco Sport. However, in the Nautilus' 114" wheelbase form of C2, no other corporate vehicle shares this version of the C2 platform. All those other vehicles are based on a 106.7" wheelbase version of C2 with less sophisticated suspension systems. That's why they had to move production to China. There's no volume platform mate to share an assembly line with here with Edge's cancelation.
Luxury surroundings is so nice to have. But, these vehicles are technical monstrosities!!! Imagine the costs to replace the tech items after they get a few years of use....HARD PASS. These vehicles are for buyers that have no concern for whatever repair bill that hits when the tech goes wrong. Less tech is good tech...
Is the cam phaser problem fixed on the newer 3.5 TT? My buddies at work bought a bunch of F150s that had all kinds of problems with the Cam Phasers that weren't covered under warranty.
Change the oil long before the dealer recommends. We have 6 Transit T 350 vans with the 3.5 TT. Some are over 300,000 miles. No timing chains, turbos or cam phaser issues ever. Oil changed 3,000 to 4,000 miles. OEM Ford oil filter and full synthetic oil. No secret sauce needed.
The fact the new Aviator shares a similar grille shape to the new Explorer its based on, when there is no need, only reinforces that struggle Lincoln has to have an identity separate from Ford. It seems almost self imposed, or perhaps too short a leash. Perhaps the goal is to remind buyers that they got a fancy Ford, instead of make them feel like they got a Lincoln.
One thing about that Aviator 3rd row. It's not just about leg room, but also whether or not your knees are above your hips. The Nautilus is built in China, which is a non-starter for moi. With these Lincolns, I'm torn between an Aviator and a Corsair Hybrid. The Navigator is just too big for my needs or wants. The Corsair? I'm not sure if it actually delivers enough LUXURY for the TCO price premium over a comparable Japanese non-luxury compact SUV/Crossover, especially when the reliability factor is considered. sigh. I SHOULD be able to get a killllller deal on an Aviator, there are still new 2023 models on dealer lots. Ahhh, the potential joys of a luxury ride... It would certainly be a heckuva change from my 2006 work truck.
Its an E-CVT. Completely different than the belt driven CVT's that you are thinking of. It makes use of planetary gearsets. Its a technology that Toyota and Ford developed together.
I could not watch this review any more longer and had to stop after 7 minutes. They didn't care enough to prepare them self, and totally feel like in the stand-up comedy club..
Nautilus should have come standard with the 2.3L Ecoboost with near Mustang Power levels at that price point. The front of the Aviator is not as elegant as the current one which is one of the best looking SUVs on the road. Plus they didn’t even change the back at all and took away all the physical HVAC controls.
You talk about feels expensive while Mercedes entry sedan the C series the seats were pleather instead of real leather and everyone was buying the car.
It most certainly does. You’ve clearly never experienced a truly comfortable vehicle seat. Micro adjustments can help everything from leg fatigue to lower back discomfort.
@@CornFed_3 I'm guessing he's definitely not tall. I'm 6'4 (all legs) and those adjustments are a godsend to me. All my life I've wished for the say I could live the cushion and pillow behind when I go on a long trip.
Went to look at a Nautilus. Other than the dash the Aviator looks much better inside and out. Wouldn't buy it because it doesn't have the 48 inch dash but I wouldn't buy the Nautilus either. It is very underwhelming on the outside. Almost every other SUV looks better and it doesn't look luxurious. Even with 22 inch rims it is too low to the ground making it look like a station wagon. Big failure by the designers. That's why you don't see them on the road. Also the jet black garbage looks cheap.
My wifes company gave her a new Ford Escape last year. What an absolute piece of trash. Oarts falling off, interior switches snapping in half, recalls, more teips to the service department than i care to remember. Makes me never want a FORD product in my driveway sadly.
Nautilus touchscreen LCD is black and white. The 1840's are calling. They want their non-color LCD back. Such laziness. Also the bigger touchscreen in the Aviator should be in the Nautilus.
Funny because people have been saying the new Nautilus has excellent build quality. Not really sure why people want American built cars from Ford and Lincoln when those have historically had some of the worst build quality on the market. Every other review of the American made Lincoln models talks about how they’re already hearing creaks and rattles. 😂

Yet, no digital rear view mirror and no side view in the instrument panel, the stuff you get in Kias half the price!
The Nautilus does have a digital mirror in the right configuration.
@@JackSmith-qi7dr How about Explorer? Can I have a digital rear view mirror on 2025 Explorer?
This post reminds me of an old Henny Youngman joke: waiter, the food is terrible and the portions are too small.
My Lexus LS oscillating vents still worked at 208,000 miles, right up to the point that someone rear ended it
The level of disdain for the cheapest version is sickening.
I think Lincoln design is really nice today. Under appreciated vehicles.
Its conservative. But I really appreciate the fact they didn't' slather Lincoln on every surface of the car. Especially on the inside (like the Grand Wagoneer) which I see as really cheap. Jeep really needs an abbreviation of that name. Like VW for example.
So is the Nautilus based off the Edge platform, which is going away?
Yes
@@jacksonnordhues5961 The new Nautilus rides on a modified C2 platform mostly shared with the new Escape, Bronco Sport, and Maverick - The previous Ford Edge/Lincoln Nautilus rode on the CD4 platform.
Old one yes, this new one no.
@@KT_One Oh--then is this one based off the Everest platform, then?
No, it's based on a version of the global modular C2 platform that has been heavily modified from others. It has some basic relation to the platform that underpins Escape, Corsair, Maverick, and Bronco Sport. However, in the Nautilus' 114" wheelbase form of C2, no other corporate vehicle shares this version of the C2 platform. All those other vehicles are based on a 106.7" wheelbase version of C2 with less sophisticated suspension systems. That's why they had to move production to China. There's no volume platform mate to share an assembly line with here with Edge's cancelation.
I got the corsair, very nice, especially the cost of gas😊
Luxury surroundings is so nice to have. But, these vehicles are technical monstrosities!!! Imagine the costs to replace the tech items after they get a few years of use....HARD PASS. These vehicles are for buyers that have no concern for whatever repair bill that hits when the tech goes wrong. Less tech is good tech...
That's a long-term/second ownership problem. Remember, people that can afford cars at this price point trade them in every 4 years.
The super wide display is distracting.
Info should be straight ahead not having to scan the width of the car.
Yes it's been fixed. Do oil changes on time though.
What's under the green rag, and why is it covered?
My guess: 12 V battery with a trickle charger connected.
400HP is nothing to sneeze at, I’ve had mine up to 140mph
I don't have a preference but after seeing in-laws new Escalade, Lincoln is soo far behind Cadillac and I never thought I would say that
Well the 2025 navigator is about to debut soon
GM is killing it in terms of interiors lately.
oh, Lincoln only sell SUVs. they should sell a luxurious car with Mustang engine as a direct American rival to the LC500
They should have a hand-built halo sedan like the new Cadillac Celestiq. It would also be nice to see American luxury brands be the norm again.
6:58 cvt??? Are cvt reliability any better now a days from like 10 yrs ago!?!
Its an E-CVT. Completely different than the belt driven CVT's that you are thinking of. It makes use of planetary gearsets. Its a technology that Toyota and Ford developed together.
@@DanielBlaney I am guessing this is newer then belt cvt?! What about belt CVT is gasoline engines now a days? Are they more reliable
When you don’t know anything about the vehicles you’re standing in front of you bring on a professional automotive journalist!
Its a walk-around not a full review bub. He said the full review is coming next week.
…and yet Sofyan knows them, pal.
I'll take the Aviator please!! If only we had them in the UK!!
Damnnn... roman really doesn't know shit! no offense 😂😂😂
I could not watch this review any more longer and had to stop after 7 minutes.
They didn't care enough to prepare them self, and totally feel like in the stand-up comedy club..
These guys "secretly" don't like Lincoln
Hmm I might get a Lincoln just to stand out 😂
In the parking as u wait for the tow truck 😂
I just wish they offered the 3.0 in the Nautilus
Nautilus should have come standard with the 2.3L Ecoboost with near Mustang Power levels at that price point.
The front of the Aviator is not as elegant as the current one which is one of the best looking SUVs on the road. Plus they didn’t even change the back at all and took away all the physical HVAC controls.
You talk about feels expensive while Mercedes entry sedan the C series the seats were pleather instead of real leather and everyone was buying the car.
The number of adjustments on those seats is simply out of control; a comfortable seat doesn't require anything like that number.
It most certainly does. You’ve clearly never experienced a truly comfortable vehicle seat. Micro adjustments can help everything from leg fatigue to lower back discomfort.
@@CornFed_3 I do not require an orthopedic seat
@@kevinbarry71, don’t worry, these vehicles aren’t for you anyway. Go find something else on the internet to complain about.
@@CornFed_3 I buy Toyota and Lexus products. I don't need unreliable American made junk. You do in order to fit your fat ass inside
I love how all of these are all white with gloss black accents, they all look very nice.
When new anyway.
I am looking forward to the new design Navigator, but they all look great
22" wheels on the Nautilus is a truly stupid idea. A Lincoln should float. Floating works far better when your tires aren't hammering you.
My wifes company gave her a new Ford Escape last year. What an absolute piece of trash. Oarts falling off, interior switches snapping in half, recalls, more teips to the service department than i care to remember. Makes me never want a FORD product in my driveway sadly.
Roman needs to get the numbers in his head.
Nautilus touchscreen LCD is black and white. The 1840's are calling. They want their non-color LCD back. Such laziness. Also the bigger touchscreen in the Aviator should be in the Nautilus.
Lincoln’s naming is not great…I wonder how many ‘normal’ people know these makes…other than the Navigator! They need better names…
At $90k for aviator, I would buy f350 king ranch instead for more of a truck😂
So the Navigator is the same price as a Cyber Truck why would anyone buy the Tesla ?
Nautilus, Lincolns first China made vehicle.....
Most of everything in the American home is Made in China anyway, so why not the cars too?
The nautilus Engine is a Deal breaker it's such a shame Lincoln gave it that disgusting 4cyl.
Cut the price by 40% and its a good buy.
Oh, Lincoln, you have lost your way! J. D. Power three year dependability study of 2023 puts Lincoln second to last with 259 problems per 100 car.
Roman cant get a single fact right
All the haters at the nursing home see me in my new Lincoln Corsair with a built-in TV.
Idk about hate more like laughter cause you’re going to be needing that while u wait for the tow truck daily 😂
Nautilus. Easy choice.
The Nautilus is an electronic nightmare. That, and the fact it is made in China, are deal breakers. No thanks.
Everything in your house is made in China....Shut up...🙄
My wife on her 2nd Aviator. Went in to order the new Nautilus - dealer told us about the 100% China source. That was about a 10sec decision.
Funny because people have been saying the new Nautilus has excellent build quality. Not really sure why people want American built cars from Ford and Lincoln when those have historically had some of the worst build quality on the market. Every other review of the American made Lincoln models talks about how they’re already hearing creaks and rattles. 😂
Let’s pay them so they can make more aircraft carriers that will attach us. This is dumb. Great car but not buying due to made in a country that release covid.
Previous model stats.
New Nautilus is entirely China built & shipped.
If you're very old, very conservative, have plenty of money to waste, go for it
Will always have an image and name problem
I'll be first in line to get the new Navigator when they decide to change the body style, which I think will be next year
the screen for aviator is too small ......damn the car bigger than naut and the screen smaller funny . look at chinese exploere interior
Nobody will ever see any of these on the road. I mean, when is the last time you saw a Lincoln?
That is true I do a lot of traveling and I don't see many at all.
I see them often tbh their just all driven by the elderly
I literally have an aviator and a mkc on my street. Next street over has a navigator. I guess they sell well where I live.
Everyday. I own one!
I see them everywhere.
A Lincoln made in China? Love the look and tech but sorry, nope.
Lincoln looks VERY nice on the outside, and that is where it ends.
If I wanted to watch Soyfan Bey, I would have went to redline. Not a fan of his style. When he's by himself he is obnoxious at the least. When he is with someone else he just laughs after every he or anyone else says. Keep it TFL. The guys on this channel all have excellent and genuine personalities.
Omg - can you PLEASE stop giggling so much like a little school girl!!! Everytime your co-host speaks you giggle - it’s so annoying
You guys complain absolutely too much. Knit pic the heck out of anything. OMG 😕
When it comes to "China" it's not about the quality, it's about another group of American jobs given away!!!!!!!!!
God I miss sedans
Hey thats the parker hotel lol
