You are THE BEST! All of your videos are helpful! I got my Ocean One in October, Vin 41##. I haven't had much problems out of it except the common issues like FOB. 2.0 really helped. It behaves most of the time. When it's not, these two tricks fix it. Other than that I really love my car and I am always looking for a reason to drive it. Again, thanks for all you do for us! You are the real deal.
Thank you. Will keeping it in a deep sleep help with the vampire drain? And will the vehicle stay locked / ambient light off until you open it with the key fob? Several times I've returned to find the ambient lights on after locking and walking away and (I think) the doors were unlocked. The key fob is nowhere in sight. Side note: I'm often out of town for extended periods. The drain on my Ocean One has been so bad that I need to keep the charger plugged in and charge it when it drops too low. So I don't know if I can even do the deep sleep without the charger being plugged in, or if removing the plug and doing a deep sleep might actually help with drainage while I'm away. Any thoughts on that?
No, deep sleep will not affect vampire drain. The car will wake up every 45-90 minutes to charge the 12V battery. The interior lights (ambient and ready) as well as backlight on the main screen will turn on and off intermittently during the night in my testing. I never had the door unlock themselves. I would recommend keeping the Ocean (or any EV) plugged in while away on a long trip. I would set the SoC to 50% if it would be a long time. Deep sleep is only deep sleep until the car wakes itself up. Hopefully future updates will minimize the power waste and allow the subcomponents to behave correctly.
Just got my Model Year 2023 Ocean 1 yesterday...and having problems with the lights internal/external staying on after the car is turned off and not being able to put the car in deep sleep. Couldnt get hard reset to work...knocking noise from the airvent.. 1 headlight out... And wifi not connecting to look for updates. So I have a few quirks to get worked out on mine. But I expected that because the ONES were the first roll outs. Hopefully the technician team is responsive. Other than that this vehicle is a beast.
The interior lights coming on by themselves is a known issue that should be fixed with an OTA update. If you open the charge port, does the blue light turn off after ten minutes or so? Sounds like you need the vents replaced (they all need to be replaced at some point due to the original design). Look at the inside vertical blades and check to see if each of the four locations is stuck. I just had mine done.
To get it to deep sleep, did you put your key fob in a faraday pouch or far away from the car? I think this may be a required step to make sure the two aren’t communicating. Thoughts?
Yes, I have heard some people have this issue. Let it sit overnight and check it the next morning. Also a good idea to keep the key fob at least 20 feet away. What software version?
Hi Mtn. Ranger, I just replaced my battery but now my fog lights would turn off even while my FOO is asleep. It remains turned on but would sometimes turn off for a bit. Is there a fuse I can reset or replace for the fog light or turn signals?
From what I have researched, the BCM fuses need to be removed and then reinserted. I'm not sure which fuse controls the fog lights. Here is the list and all are located in the cabin fuse box: Fuse RF09 BCM Exterior Lamps Fuse RF08 BCM2 Fuse RF11 BCM3 Fuse RF56 BCM/RVM/ETC
@@MTNRanger Okay, thank you so much sir! I will try those and let you know. Should I reinsert one at a time? How long should I wait before reinserting the fuse?
At the delivery facility, they should have plugged in the horn relay (it's removed during transatlantic shipping). It's under the hood in the fuse box. If you open it up, you will see the loose fuse. It should go in the empty space. If you are not comfortable doing this, contact service for this.

how long does it normally take to go into deep sleep? i see your video has the 1:43 timer, i’ve been standing next to mine for 4 minutes and its still blue… 1.11 2/2 downloaded and installed about 12hrs ago
It seems to vary a bit. I have seen it take up to ten minutes sometimes. I'm not sure if the updates are affecting how long it takes. It used to go blue then red and turn off. Now it just goes blue and turns off.
