Yes, because it does spread out the crowds. We visited RMNP, before the reservation system and had trouble finding places to pull off to let our older minivan cool down. Not cool. It did make for a great story though.
I went to Arches in late January and it was snowy and beautiful. The white snow against those vividly orange rocks was incredible! The trails weren’t too icy and it was nice and brisk for a great hike. It’s such a beautiful place. Moab is a fun place, too, lots of stuff to do.
I like the timed entry system. It makes so much sense. I hate being crowded or rushed. For those of you who travel all the time, I can see not checking the website every time you pass through, but I really don't understand how people who are vacationing don't plan ahead.
I think that having a basic plan of a direction is all that I really need. Typically because I do have time I don’t have to rush and so that’s very nice of course on days like today. Sometimes that doesn’t work out for the bigger picture but it’s OK.
I’m so glad to be able to share this from across the globe… A lot of times, whatever I hear people in the United States say there’s simply aren’t things to do here. I look at them kind of crazy because I realize that across our country we have so many unique things to share. So thank you so much for acknowledging this beautiful location.
I think the most important part of the reservation system is that it's helping to preserve the national parks. They can only take so much pollution... including and especially humans. It's a hassle and I'm old enough to remember going camping many summers and not having to have a reservation and just being free to do whatever you wanted...those were the days! Course we didn't litter and we had manners - things that, sadly, don't exist as much anymore. Bunny I meant to say that your videography is on point. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you for another informative video. You can see some of the arches from the Amtrak California Zephyr... I can't wait to get a closer look by visiting the park in our van or other adventure vehicle. Thank you again for creating this video. Safe travels.
You’ve been to so many beautiful places-do you ever get jaundiced, feel like it’s same old, same old? As always, appreciate your mix of information and beautiful photography. The shadows/rocks at about 9:00 are lovely!
No, not really. I think the world is way too big to ever get bored with doing what I do. Every time I go to a place even if it’s a place I’ve seen previously I find new things or exploit in a different way. It really keeps me on my toes
I try to be… I figure in a world of cinematic, beautiful channels mostly just show views I would like to be the person who gives information so more people can see those views lol
Thanks Bunny for a great time. You did so much to help us get a gorgeous view of this wonderful place. I appreciate your efforts. From Central Oklahoma
Hey Bunny, great video!! Arches is definitely on my must see list. I'm also looking into that America the beautiful pass, but I also understand since I'm a veteran that some places are available at no charge or limited. Adventure on!!!
Thank you! I’m super excited to share this location because I’ve been there a couple of times and each time I go it’s just more and more spectacular to see. A lot of times whenever we’re driving through more desert us areas the views can be pretty flat, but this place is just the opposite of that. It is absolutely spectacular, see the red cliffs and all of the Arches.
Absolutely! I don’t yet qualify for that one so I can’t really talk about it too much but I know that my parents are about to qualify for it and I’ve already put it on their list of things that they’re going to be picking up when they start their travels
Thanks for the video. I was there in May of 2021. So beautiful. Not to rain on your tour but are you aware of the new law about filming for youtube in the national Parks. I hope you got a permit.
This was not in effect when this video was filmed. The suit happened and was ruled on post this filming. However going forward this will make filming in national parks less likely on this channel at least. I do not have overhead to share such parks through permits because the cost of many of these is astronomical.
@@craftytraveler9238 actually, it says that if your channel is monetized at all, you cannot even do that. I have put in an email to the national park service however, to get some clarification and I hope to address this very soon on the nomad news channel.
No I didn't know that now I know you look like you're having lots of fun I watched it earlier the video and I hope you're enjoying yourself and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving today and you're probably at home with your family so happy travels stay safe be careful and lots of love and hugs to you and your family and friends and Happy Thanksgiving 🙏🙏🍁🍁🦃🦃🍂🍂
The pass covers the car up to 4 adults. The pass holder can bring in several people in their personal vehicle, however if the adults are in another vehicle they must have their own pass.
Hi. I was just wondering...would you ever do a review on the proper shoes you should have. I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes and boots I spent a lot on, only to be disappointed in the comfort of them. I used to love walking and hiking through the woods. Lately, I have to ask myself is the hike or walk worth the pain I am going to experience for a few days after in my feet. I want my old combat boots back...lol. I just can't find the pair I used have online.
Possibly.... I have done a couple in the past of my last two pairs of hiking boots.... i still have my last reviewed pair from a couple years ago because they have held up super well.. but possibly something to look into adding to the channel
Question of the Day: Do you like the reservation system?
Yes, because it does spread out the crowds. We visited RMNP, before the reservation system and had trouble finding places to pull off to let our older minivan cool down. Not cool. It did make for a great story though.
Torn … There are pros and cons. Prefer spontaneity; but not a fan of crowds.
No
I never make reservations but, i may need to start doing so.
I do appreciate their reasoning to thin out the crowds. The website however drives me nuts!
It is all beautiful. America has so much beauty and variety.
Absolutely it does!!! I enjoy as many of them as I can along the way!!!

I agree and it is only during the peak season so it’s nice for crowd control, especially at popular trails
Looks Cool! Thanks For Sharing!
No problem! I really enjoyed this park. Every time I come so being able to share it is a joy.
Yep; gotta plan ahead. The challenge is being able to be spontaneous when traveling, while still having some kind of a plan. 🤔

As an Aussie, that is just lovely scenery! Thank you Bunny, just loved this one Elaine from Queensland, Australia.

When you turn 62 you only buy it once for 80 bucks, lifetime pass…😬👍🏻. I guess the reservation system isn’t so bad.
So true, but Bunny has many years before she can get the Silver pass.
Yes a few...lol.. but my parents will be getting theirs as soon as they start their travels!!
@@anitasimmons3599 many , many ! 😁
WOW, gorgeous!! Thanks for this video, another destination on my bucket list
Definitely one that you will enjoy. I have been here several times and each time I seem to find something more spectacular than the last.
Simply Beautiful! Not crazy over the reservation but it helps the impact on the parks. Only had to use it one time at Rocky Mountain NP.

Yes, they just recently passed that as a veteran you qualify for a lifetime pass without a fee!
Thank you, 🐇! That's pretty epic stuff right there. ❤️

Thanks❣️i was always wondering if i could get to parks befor 6am, short befor sunrise to avoid the crowds. Good info and nice shots. 🤩
The park was full when I was there last October, but I went on to Monument Valley, and OMG it was so beautiful. I love NM.
Beautiful Park! A Senior Park Pass is a one time fee $80.00 Life Time.

I was in arches this summer LOVED IT!👍 great video . thankd for sharing this with us.

When was this visit ?
I’m watching this 2/9/23 and curious if it’s 99 degrees on December???
No I hate it! A lot of times I have no idea where I will be or when.
Question: If there is two riders coming into the parks you travel to does each person require a park pass or just the one driving the vehicle in?
The pass covers the car up to 4 adults. The pass holder can bring in several people in their personal vehicle, however if the adults are in another vehicle they must have their own pass.

That is great info to note!!!
So glad they ban weed. Me and my kids don’t need to walk though that nonsense
