🔥🔥❤Opeth❤🔥🔥 Next week? Oh hell, how am I ever gonna wait that long?! 😁 John, you've got quite an awesome quirky unique sister. We really love her. You seem very cool too. Welcome!
This was fun! Your brother seems a very relaxed and chill guy, so l am eager to see how he will react to The Demon. You left us with an interesting cliffhanger.....like old TV shows!
I can’t wait to see your brother’s reaction to Ghost of Perdition lol, if he does become an Opeth fan to the point that he wants to join in on your future reactions, he’d just be the coolest brother ever, no big deal. Btw, I hadn’t given too many Opeth suggestions recently but in light of your growing affinity for the great Martin Mendez aka Bass Guy, I gotta recommend some songs where his bass plays a huge part: To Rid the Disease, I Feel the Dark, The Devil’s Orchard, The Ward. Generally you can hear Mendez’s bass fairly well in many tracks, but these songs it’s really present in the mix. But as far as Opeth songs I hope you get to sooner rather than later, I think you’d really enjoy Moonlapse Vertigo, Godhead’s Lament, When (which has an amazing live performance from the Roundhouse Tapes that is must see), and The Apostle in Triumph, which IMO, is the first song they made that contains the Opeth compositional DNA that would permeate their best albums and is the reason why we Opeth fans are so rabid and diehard.
Always start off in the shallow end of the pool when introducing Opeth to a newcomer. Either he’ll love or hate Ghost of Perdition. Good first choice Lauren. Also the Pot should be a fun listen.
Thank you for the shoutout. (Again) I love how some comments are questioning why to start an Opeth journey here. And the honest answer is would you have given them a chance if you started with The Demon?
Well, I know practically nothing about Opeth; sometimes I click your reactions of the band to give something new a try. I did so with Demon of the Fall for example. This one I watched because I was curious to see your interaction with your brother. Not disappointed, I enjoyed the video for both reasons lol. The song has a curious vibe to it which I'm not sure how to describe, as if you were driving deep and carelessly into something with your eyes closed. It's not immediately "catchy" to me, but it's a good listen. Your brother's a real nice and chill guy, it would be nice to see him in other reactions ahead.
That was fun! I love the idea of bringing your brother in. I'm anxiously awaiting the next video with John, and his reaction. This was great idea, Lauren. Good job, John. : )
Would have been nice if the second song was new to you also, April Ethereal, Karma, Godhead Lament, When, Apostles in Triumph, or any others on a pole. Very cool though regardless, this is a great song on an amazing album.
MC&C They have had three Bass players the first was from the original band, John De Farfalla , then Martin Persson, he left early on & was replaced by Martin Mendez who you hear on the tracks you're listing to . Mikael also played Bass on their third CD Still Life. Mendez has remained the Bass player since . Your brother seems a bit lost here or he's just listening closely LOL , you on the other hand have the advantage of already hearing this & your smile shows it . Not that it matters but the lyrics to this were written by producer /musician Steven Wilson not by Opeth, only the music was theirs. If you had shown your brother a photo of Mikael he probably would guess they were from Sweden. If your brother likes Death Metal i need to see his face when he hears Mikaels Demon Growl ,that usually invokes a lot of facial WTF expressions . Wait till he hears that then we'll see some fun. Such a great band then & now with the newer members. Ghost of Perdition will open his eyes but try playing him The Lepper Affinity off Laminations & see his reaction. Rock On !!!!
John will be back next week for Ghost of Perdition! Thanks for watching :D
Can't wait to see him react on that!
John has the looks of an Opethian 😄👌🏽
Omg I can’t wait until he feels the power of THE DEMON!!!!
Awesome!!! Can’t wait for that! I hope you do the album version tho!
Welcome to the Opeth Club, John
😃
🔥🔥❤Opeth❤🔥🔥
Next week? Oh hell, how am I ever gonna wait that long?! 😁
John, you've got quite an awesome quirky unique sister. We really love her.
You seem very cool too. Welcome!
The entire Damnation album is fantastic!
This was fun! Your brother seems a very relaxed and chill guy, so l am eager to see how he will react to The Demon. You left us with an interesting cliffhanger.....like old TV shows!
I've always had some kind of respect for this song. It's soft, but had a tense atmosphere. I'm excited for ghost of perdition!

“We are doin’ the pot” yeah that usually makes my opeth listening experience “highly” enjoyable if you know what I mean 😁
I like John’s vibe. And yours always. 😁

Nice to see you brother. Definitely curious for your next listen👍🍺

Yeah it's one of the more mellow songs of theirs, but that ties into the theme of a lullaby. Opeth does many other styles however
I would describe this song as 'beautiful dreamy dark'.
Making new Opeth fans one at a time!
Very cool, how does your bro feel about having such a famous sis? Bring on the DEMON!
I'll have to ask him. :)
To start your brothers journey with calm opeth is a cool idea. Next reactions would be pretty interresting. ^^ Can't wait.

I hate reaction videos, but you’re such an interesting person, I can’t stop watching.
This should be a lot of fun
I love his shirt
Opeth used to go by Otep back in the early 2000s. Their vocalist was a female, too....
They are completely different bands. Opeth has been around since the 90s.
@@heathash1579 It was a joke. 😅
@@taurusbull8276 You know, I kind of thought it was but it's kind of hard to tell sometimes over the internet. My bad 😆
@@heathash1579 Haha. All good 👍
That chorus reminds me so much of Jinjer.

I would love to see your reaction to Dark Tranquility, Atoma. Phenomenal song, and they are from Sweden.
Olá John
Joyride Chevelle
I'd be interested in seeing your and John's reaction to Sabaton or Blind Guardian.
I've never heard opeth either...not at all how I thought they sounded
Faith in others or im going to cry :'(((
React to Iranian music is great, mehradhidden&moody moussavi_shanbe(alternate version)🇮🇷🦁
It is not really fair to use this song as an introduction to opeth. Can’t wait until his next reaction
Haha, looking forward to part 2
