Wow that tribute was heart wrenching at the end so nice of you to do that was very touching. Poor guy lives all those years to end that way that wreckage made my jaw drop and brought a tear to my eye please folks dont drink and drive.... RIP Dickie Jones & thanks for saving all those cars and parts where many will live on .......Glenn
I did some searching and the other driver went to the hospital and was released. I could find no account that he was drunk, just that he was driving n the wrong side of the road.
Real nice 57. Nice tribute to Dickie at the end. In good hopes the parts and cars will help the rest of us to keep these rolling pieces of art and history alive!
The help with the forklift getting the trailer on the ground is a reminder of how good car people are. Dickie is no longer with us but His Spirit will always be in our hearts. Thank you for remembering Him to us. 👍
You should do colab with DDSpeed Shop and do a 2 door conversion on this one. Be a nice budget 2 door 57 for your son plus would be a cool build for the channel.
Outstanding video Dave. Love that you are already passing along your love of cars and motors to your son. He's going to grow up understanding that you can with the right tools build or fix anything. I have a number of fond memories of going on project runs with my dad. A beautiful tribute to Dickie and his family. Your a gentleman and showing others how one should be a man. All the best!
Thank you for paying tribute to Dickie. I’ve enjoyed every Dickie episode since you first meet him. Can’t wait to see how you and your son honour Dickie with saving another trifive out of his yard.
Dave, I have met people like yourselves and Dickie, God brings people together amd by chance you made a lifetime friendship and due to someone’s ignorance Dickie is gone. His lifes work is not and you will keep it alive with what you got off of honey 🍯 hole. RIP DICKIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should post every second of Dickie video you have as another tribute on his next birthday or something. He was a legend. i love that he didn't hoard cars, he collected, cataloged and saved a lot of cars
One cool guy to help unload the trailer. Much respect. And man. R.I.P Dickie. Love the tribute. Much Much respect for that. And so awesome your son claimed the 57. That's to cool. Many memories to come building that
Nobody deserves what Dickie’s family have been put through. Thanks for the heartfelt tribute. That Bucees looks like the one in Leeds that I stop at when going to see my kid who lives in Carrollton GA. Glad those cars aren’t headed to the crusher too.
OMG that last pic of the car he passed in, poor Dickie. Pic of him and his wife on the tailgate is how I'll remember him. Good luck with the resto, looking forward to seeing it. RIP Dickie
I liked Dickie from the first time he appeared on yours and Mike's videos. His warmth and honesty left the impression of an absolute trustworty man. He liked all wheels and I'm at a loss of hearing his demise. If his spirit could, he would comfort his wife and family then try to forgive himself for his messed up ride.
That's a nice way to say goodbye I'm sure you miss him. Watched earlier vids when you first found the place cool guy. He sold cars to you because he knew you were going to do something with them. 😥🇬🇸👍
I live in East Texas but used to work in Odessa/Midland which is farther West. I passed that place 1000 times. Always blew my how many great cars he had. Great video
When I was a boy there was a guy in my home town that was a hot rodder he’d been a pilot in Korea was kinda famous but he was also a bit of a recuse and he’d let us kids sit watch him work… he had a 57 all stripped down no bumpers, hood, interior, he had a roll cage built just around the driver and a airplane seat with a 5 point harness. ! the front was lifted and the back dropped it had a 409 with Crome valve covers! That thing was so f’ing cool! Oh dickie ain’t gone >>>old hot rodders never die they just keep movin’ on!!
Very nice tribute. You can meet some really awesome people on parts runs. I met some great people and had some amazing conversations running around the country getting car parts.
Awesome video! So happy for your son. My first 57' was a 4dr post. Drove it and raced it through high school. After owning a few others and even 2 2drs now, I'd swap them in a heartbeat to get that first one back. Hope you and your son make a lot of great memories working together on his new ride.
At least he met a good person as in yourself that will keep his legacy alive, Every part or car you have gotten you can tell the story of where it came from and the time you shared with him 😁
The man had a collection of all collections, I’m glad you are able to keep some of them alive, I’m glad some of his treasures are being taken care of! My dad had a 57 in high school around 1966 I’ve always wanted to find him one but they are just out of my reach financially, he (as story told) had a 327 out of a vette, he swapped in, 4,11 gears and 4 speed him and my grandfather put in, unfortunately a drunk driver hit it outside his house and totaled it while he was in Vietnam. One day I hope I can get him another, dickie was only 4 years older than my dad, to live that long and be taken by a fool driving drunk….
Thank you for paying tribute to Dickie at the end. I'm sure his family appreciates that.
Dickie was an awesome guy in the video where they found that yard in Texas. The world needs more of him.
Dickie was a good person he met you guys and treated you like he knew you all his life. There's not enough men like him anymore.
Thank you Dickie for saving all the cars. RIP
Dave that was a really nice tribute at the end. It's not just the cars it's the people and the stories that come along with them.
Thanks for making me cry, Dave. RIP Dickie. You went too soon. Don't drink and drive, boys and girls.
You might hit a bump and spill your drink.
I think the best part of the whole trip and everything you had to accomplish was doing it with your son. Nothing can top that. Rest In Peace Dickie
As long as you keep those cars running and moving, Dickie lives forever.
Thanks Dicky for saving all these cars. RIP MR DICKY. Dave will take great care of all your cars sir.
Great Job David. Thanks for your hard work and help.
RIP Dickie
Love that you payed tribute to the man
That is so sad. may Dickie rest in peace. Thank you for that.
OMG, it's sooooooooo funny to hear little 6 Volt in conversation with his dad.
That man tried to save every cool car. Now he's rescuing every cool car in heaven. Rip
I love how your building memories, spend as much time with your son as possible. Ron
Without guys like Dickie half of those cars would no longer exist, great video tribute Dave. RIP Dickie
Thanks for sharing. Great Sunday Remember everyone we dont know what beholds us today or tomorrow. Remember Sunday . Jesus Christ is the answer 🙏✝️
RIP Dickie.
Thank you for saving so many classics from the crusher.

The fact that your son has already claimed that car is going to make it all the more special. Glad he got to go with you on the trip.
You can tell your a good person. Way to honor him. So sad to pass that way.

Shout out to those who helped with the trailer unload! With good people, where there is a will, there is a way!
Dave, that was pretty fortunate to find that guy to help you unload the trailer. That's a rough story about Dickie Jones.
It's great that you got a bunch of these cars out to other people and yourself to enjoy. I'm sure he'd appreciate that so much.

Those roads in Shreveport sound like the majority of the roads I traveled on in South Carolina, yesterday!
At least he met a good person as in yourself that will keep his legacy alive, Every part or car you have gotten you can tell the story of where it came from and the time you shared with him 😁
