This song is unbelievable in concert. 50,000 people shouting "You can't stop me loving myself!" is an experience everyone should have. And the song is DEEP - the culture reflections alone are worth watching the explanation video for. I think you guys need to STOP only looking at surface meanings. You did it for DNA, and now you're doing it for Idol. Thinking that anything other Dynamite and Butter are surface level or not deep means that you are not paying attention or even trying to dig a little deeper. You keep saying that we're roasting you, but then you keep giving us reason to roast you. You mock the people who give you a hard time, because all you can see is the criticism. DNA, fake love, and idol are chronologically connected (in terms of lyrics, concepts AND album release) Most of their Albums and EPs are divided into 2-3 parts Each album series portray or represent a specific part of an individual's life which is why most of their music and lyrics are sooo relatable So for example; their first ever album series talked about school life and everything related to it whether they were the struggles of a student or the emotions and experience of the first love ( they are called 2 COOL 4 SKOOL, O R U LATE 2, and SKOOL LUV AFFAIR respectively) Then they had a bridging album called DARK AND WILD were they talk about post school life but it's the rebellious stage of an individual before they hit a certain maturity level and start experiencing extreme emotions The second album series talks about early adult life, the highs and lows and every emotion in-between, mostly about the lows specially anxiety, loneliness, self-harm and other major more mature topics (they're called THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT IN LIFE PT. 1, PT. 2, and YOUNG FOREVER respectively) And then the third series is about the journey to AND the importance of self love (the title is called LOVE YOURSELF first one is called HER, then there's TEAR, and then there's ANSWER), -Part one is about finding true love, being destined together, and the early stages of love itself so you have DNA -Part two talks about the struggles of a relationship and the realization that it's mostly one-sided hence why we have FAKE LOVE -Then part three talks about EPIPHANY (the realization) of loving oneself to be able to love others so we have IDOL Obviously the lyrics might seem incomplete or not related or just all over the place for new listeners because they only listen to title tracks but once they listen to the ENTIRE albums chronologically, everything is CONNECTED from lyrics to concepts to MVs, etc. Everything from their first release to their latest is cohesively connected and in a way talks about topics or phases that they go through at THAT time so the lyrics hit different of each album depending on what phase the listener is going through at the moment. I'll give you a couple suggestions that I haven't seen other reactors cover lately: Not Today (2017), Airplane pt.2 (2018), Fire (2016)

Like he's fixin to fight us. 😅 Nah, but listen, in all seriousness, we know a lot about BTS and when we hear things like they "lack substance", we are trying to tell y'all that they are known for the power in their lyrics. Do you need to like every song? Of course not. But hearing things like that when we've been trying to tell you that there is so much more, to me, seems like y'all have an idea of a "boyband" and you want them to fit nicely into that box. I could be wrong and if I am, my apologies. It's just mind blowing that the name BTS and the term "lacking substance" are put in the same sentence.
I am not really a fan of DNA either, and I am a 100% ARMY. I really wish that it wasn’t the first song I ever heard from them. I would have become a fan instantly if I had watched Mic Drop instead. IDOL is a badass song. The live performance in a stadium in Japan is INSANE.

I don’t listen to everything they put out. I don’t need to love everything they do. Not sure what style of music is your thing. Maybe try their Cyphers particular Cyphers 2 and 3. There’s no video clip for it but there are lots of videos that have the lyrics in both Korean and English translation. Give us your style so people know what to suggest.
Dancing like them takes a whole lot of practice. 8 hours a day and the rest, for weeks sometimes for a new choreo. They are very particular and review every performance in detail. This is a very hard choreo. It's a clap back at the haters who accuse them of using green screen which they hardly ever do and auto tune which they only do for a particular effect so in this they are using them saying, 'So what' haters. The music is an African based rhythm but the images are Korean with them wearing Hanbok at one point and the tiger leaping in the background. The rhythm they are vocalising is a Korean rhythm. Their costumes where tailor made for this. They promote being positive about yourself. I'm not sure what music you prefer but if you want political based songs then they have them. Try, 'Go Go' and 'Baepsae'. Also 'Ddaeng' from the rap line. You'll need to watch the explanations on DKDK TV because there's a lot of cultural references. You can watch Taylor Mari's 'A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7'. It's a bit out of date now as far as awards are concerned and doesn't go into their solo work away from BTS but gives you a very good intro to each member. Remember that they are still all members of BTS but are now pursuing solo careers and introduce themselves as, for e.g., 'I'm SUGA of BTS' . Until they all finish their military service they won't be able to work as a group.
If you get into their B sides, I have a feeling you would like those more. You tend to go with their title tracks. A lot of their B sides don't have music videos, but they will have performances and dance practices. There were a lot of Korean references in this, and messages to their haters. Like he's fixin to fight us. 😅 Nah, but listen, in all seriousness, we know a lot about BTS and when we hear things like they "lack substance", we are trying to tell y'all that they are known for the power in their lyrics. Do you need to like every song? Of course not. But hearing things like that when we've been trying to tell you that there is so much more, to me, seems like y'all have an idea of a "boyband" and you want them to fit nicely into that box. I could be wrong and if I am, my apologies. It's just mind blowing that the name BTS and the term "lacking substance" are put in the same sentence.

I am not really a fan of DNA either, and I am a 100% ARMY. I really wish that it wasn’t the first song I ever heard from them. I would have become a fan instantly if I had watched Mic Drop instead. IDOL is a badass song. The live performance in a stadium in Japan is INSANE.
my first MV of theirs was Blood,Sweat,and Tears I loved the song/lyrics and visuals then I discovered Mic Drop and right then I became an instant fan 💜

I don’t listen to everything they put out. I don’t need to love everything they do. Not sure what style of music is your thing. Maybe try their Cyphers particular Cyphers 2 and 3. There’s no video clip for it but there are lots of videos that have the lyrics in both Korean and English translation.
Give us your style so people know what to suggest.

Dancing like them takes a whole lot of practice. 8 hours a day and the rest, for weeks sometimes for a new choreo. They are very particular and review every performance in detail. This is a very hard choreo. It's a clap back at the haters who accuse them of using green screen which they hardly ever do and auto tune which they only do for a particular effect so in this they are using them saying, 'So what' haters. The music is an African based rhythm but the images are Korean with them wearing Hanbok at one point and the tiger leaping in the background. The rhythm they are vocalising is a Korean rhythm. Their costumes where tailor made for this. They promote being positive about yourself. I'm not sure what music you prefer but if you want political based songs then they have them. Try, 'Go Go' and 'Baepsae'. Also 'Ddaeng' from the rap line. You'll need to watch the explanations on DKDK TV because there's a lot of cultural references. You can watch Taylor Mari's 'A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7'. It's a bit out of date now as far as awards are concerned and doesn't go into their solo work away from BTS but gives you a very good intro to each member. Remember that they are still all members of BTS but are now pursuing solo careers and introduce themselves as, for e.g., 'I'm SUGA of BTS' . Until they all finish their military service they won't be able to work as a group.
If you get into their B sides, I have a feeling you would like those more. You tend to go with their title tracks. A lot of their B sides don't have music videos, but they will have performances and dance practices. There were a lot of Korean references in this, and messages to their haters. Dynamite and Butter were 2 of their fully English songs, of which they only have three. Dynamite was released as a single, but it was also included in the album BE, which was fully about their experience during the pandemic, and how they coped with it. Dynamite was meant as the song that would bring a little bit of hope and joy to their fans and people around the world during a time when many people were sick, depressed, and isolated. It was a beacon of light in the dark, so to speak, and it was a Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit.
