This was this first Beatles song that I ever heard. A school friend played it for me. His dad was in the air force and stationed in England in 1963. We didn't know who the Beatles were! We sure did later! Thanks for the memory.

This is the first Beatle's song I heard on the AM radio of the day. Oddly, it's one of the few hits that the Beatles never played lived in their short touring career.

All health! In 2003, I was fortunate enough to purchase a copy of The Beatles e-learning manual. The program is called Guitar for All Together with the Beatles - Learning Without Notes. The authors of this disc are Kleimenov and Suchkov. This wonderful program, which includes, in addition to tablature, also the ability to listen to the original itself, sing to the organ (basic) and learn songs in fragments (with the appearance of tablature images at the right time on the screen). Tuning your guitar with the built-in tuning fork. It would seem that everything would be fine, but the program ends with the Rubber Soul album. The program starts only if there is a disc in the drive. Acoustic guitar yellow deck software shortcut!
The J160 is such an awesome acoustic. Crazy now to think of just sticking a standard guitar pickup on an acoustic like that, but a plugged in J160 litters the early Beatles albums (and people don't even usually realize it). I actually JUST got an epiphone EJ-160 delivered today! It's been backordered for months. Though there were tons of QC issues so it's getting exchanged ASAP.

Since it’s almost the 10th Anniversary of your first video (Ocarina of Time Medley), do you plan to recreate it?
I would love to attempt to, but it took 3 months of serious dedication to get that take. I would go about it differently and try to perfect each segment rather than stressing about getting it all in one take. I don’t remember which song, but I remember in the moment of filming I cut a song and skipped to Opening The Chest to end the video cause I was so exhausted by then haha. I think there’s something novel about it being one take, but from what I’ve learned on UA-cam. It might be better to craft the production and really bring alive what I love about each song

Thanks for settling the C#7 chord question. I've seen some very funky suggestions for that chord and I've tried them all. C#7 makes the most sense.
The C#7 chord has a G# note which doesn’t really belong in the key of D Major

Showing the world how it's done! As usual. I've always loved how, in the last line of the chorus (bridge?) John sing, "Be in love with you" in a straight descending pattern (Alan Pollack could give us the technical description). But after Paul sings, "Be in..." he goes high, into harmony for the, "love with you" rest of the line. Vocal genius, I tell you! They sang so well together, those two, that it's really difficult sometimes to figure out who's singing lead and who's singing harmony - and they often switch up mid-verse! And you guys nailed it, again, as usual. Not in this version, but the Vimeo one, to be technical. Great job!

Andrew, what software do you use for editing and on what hardware are you running it? I use Vegas on a 6-core Ryzen 4650G with 16GB of RAM and it gives me a ton of problems, but despite that it's easier for me to sync audio in Vegas
2015 Mac using Logic and Final Cut. I have problems as well. My laptop top shuts off randomly now after updating the ios. I can no longer use Final Cut because it shuts off. I’ll have to buy a new one unfortunately. I cant recommend Mac

@@AblyHouse I did and I couldn't hear one either. Makes me wonder if Ringo ever played the song before Andy White recorded it. It's interesting to listen to Andy's take on Please Please Me and compare it to Ringo's too. Not much difference there, as I recall. Ringo hadn't worked out what he was going to do in PPM, it seems, and when he tackled it before Andy he did so holding a maraca in one hand and a tambourine in the other and looking like "some weird spastic leper", he later said. Maybe Andy is responsible for that drum pattern too? The middle 8 is particularly inspired IMHO. Would Ringo have come up with such a pattern back then?

Yes, much longer hiatus than I expected. I only have like 4-5 days off until November and doing lots of recording projects that aren’t on YT. I also got a new computer but only one set of Waves plugin licenses so I cant make mixes on the road currently. Otherwise I’d have No Reply out by now, that’ll be next. I could also do a tour on our new recording space and update on where we’ve been
