    Hope this helps delineate the differences between Stock Music Licensing and Sync Licensing. They are both great ways to license your music. Let me know your thoughts and questions.

    Hi thanks for the information you share in this channel, it helps a lot, I wonder for someone who doesn't have a PRO, which library is the best to work with and make income?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Рік тому

      Well, I do not advocating NOT being with a PRO. But if you are not and have a good catalog, someplace like Epidemic Sound may be looking for you.

    Hi , Thanks, great explaination, however, what about if I write a demo song, but would like to sell the melody only, it is Sync Licensing?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  2 роки тому +1

      No, Sync Libraries want finished masters. The competition and quality is fierce in this business. They have no time to develop demos.

    I just finished an instrumental that was meant for my stock music catalogue but it ended up sounding like something I'd pitch to sync libraries (non-exclusive); almost like a hybrid, lol.
    Can I do both? Sell it as stock music AND pitch it to non-exclusive sync libraries? Love your content, btw. Thank you!

      @MakeMusicIncome  2 роки тому +1

      Absolutely You can also sell any non-exclusive things you make at Spotify, iTunes, etc. Good luck with it!

    What kind of libraries are used for temp music for films?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  2 роки тому

      Usually well known songs that are too expensive to really use, so they then they go find other songs to use instead.

    Do you still copyright the song for stock music licensing?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Рік тому +2

      I usually don’t copyright all songs but I do register them with my PRO.

      @@MakeMusicIncome do you have a system checklist for this process? preparing to release stock music?

    • @MakeMusicIncome
      @MakeMusicIncome  Рік тому

      Not specifically for stock, but it’s a great idea. I’ll think on it!
