also you can visit the eritrean embassy in India, i heard that there is an easy process ]

1982 ൽ ഞാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു അസ്മാരയിൽ. റോമിന്റെ പുത്രി എന്നായിരുന്നു അസ്മാര അന്ന് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. വൃത്തിയിലും ഭംഗിയിലും സൗകര്യങ്ങളിലും ഈ പട്ടണത്തോട് കിട പിടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥലവും ഇന്ത്യയിലോ ആഫ്രിക്കയിലോ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. അന്നിത് എത്യോപ്യയുടെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു. എറിത്രിയയുടെ വിഭജനത്തോടെ ആ രാജ്യം തകർന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ മുസ്ളീം ഭൂരിപക്ഷ രാജ്യമാണിത്. ഈ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ കാഴ്ച 41 വർഷത്തിനുശേഷം എന്നെ ദുഖിപ്പിക്കും. അതിഗംഭീരങ്ങളായ കഫേകളും ബാറുകളും ഹോട്ടലുകളും പൂന്തോട്ടങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് അസ്മാ രാ എന്നെ വിസ്മയിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
