OMG ! Russian School at its best... I have heard this concerto so many times and by so many different artists and I am at a loss of comments ;-) What a rendition ! Makes one shiver and vibrate. What a virtuoso! I am going to listen to anything I can find interpreted by Leonid Kogan. Starting with pieces which had left me cold until now. I bet it is going to change! Thank you very much for sharing.

What an incredible violist. Actually, more than that. He's not just a great master of the violin, but a TRUE MUSICIAN. He can make the music speak, unlike many modern day violists, who are technically perhaps as brilliant as Kogan, but lack Kogan's art of MAKING MUSIC.

One of the least difficult violin concertos for Kogan to play, but the concerto overall was just magical!
