I’ve been watching the videos in your fitting series over and over. The information is so good. But last night I went to bed trying to figure out how to apply it to a raglan. And you have a video for it. I wish I could explain how helpful these have been. Thank you so very much!!
I think I missed how to keep the back on the fold, but here it is on the raglan. Like a full bust adjustment-Genius! Thanks! I need to go back to see what I missed on the set-in(?) sleeve one.
Cool! All the adjustments at the beginning of the video will keep your pattern on the fold. At the end there is a dedicated adjustment for patterns with a center back seam.
Coming across this video was looking like finding the Holy Grail to me as I have been searching for this adjustment for years. Thank you for your clear and considerate instructions. Looking forward to exploring your site.
Thank you! and I just noticed that autocorrect turned my "clear and concise" compliment into "clear and considerate" but I imagine you knew what I meant😊😊@@SewSewLive
Hi Seramy, I am so glad you made this video. I purchased your PDF when you promoted it and am finding all these videos very helpful. This one comes in a VERY timely fashion for me as I am making my hubby a zip front hoodie. He has worked at a computer for decades and has a VERY pronounced rounding in his mid and upper back. My question is, if I needed to make a substantial adjustment for this, would I do this neck 'dart' adjustment as well as the lower rounded back adjustment across his shoulder blades? Do I do one before the other to make sure I don't add in too much? Thanks again!
You can do both if he needs it. That’s completely fine. I wouldn’t do more than 5/8” at the high back. Put the rest in the lower one. Either way, a little bit will make a big impact! He’ll love it.
This is a great tutorial, just what my poorly-fitting muslin needs! I especially need the high rounded-back adjustment and I have a question about that. Do I necessarily need to keep that new shoulder dart that’s created? I mean, there’s already a design line with the raglan sleeve and I really don’t want another “line” added to the neck area. Can I rotate that dart to the raglan line or will that not work? Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
You can certainly try rotating it and see what you think. It just depends upon where you needed that shaping to occur. I always love an experiment! And every person’s body is different. That being said, darts are so great for shaping and I doubt you’ll notice it after awhile! Especially if it gives you a nice fit!
Seremy, very well done video. My question is on the first round back with the dart added at the neck, what if you don’t want a dart at the neck edge. ? Could you move that dart to the waist dart? Or is there another solution? Thanks
Yes! Another way to accomplish this is how I demonstrate it in the Princess Seams to the Shoulder video. (It’s out soon or if you have the pdf you can watch now). I think it’s the low back round/flat adjustment. Cb on fold (so probably the second tutorial).

I’m so glad! They’re all in the PDF with links! All armholes!
I absolutely need to get the pdfs!

Great to hear! There’s a playlist and a PDF! More to come. There are about 15 initial videos for different issues and pattern styles. Happy fitting!
