    Hi, thanks for these reviews, like the format and find them pretty informative. Have been wondering for the past few reviews, have you tried Super Toro / SS Orange blend? seems like best of both worlds, and should add a tiny bit of plushness? Another slick and forgiving cross you might enjoy is Gosen GTour-3. Cheers!

      Yes, TK-Tennis has a review of such blend of Super Toro mains and SS crosses. It became one of my favorite setups (my only negative for the blend that crosses loose tension too quick despite being 3lbs higher than mains and 10% pre-strung). If you want more plushness and don’t want to deal with the hybrids other Torolines as full bed could work for you: Toro Toro, Snapper and Enso Pro. There’s a couple others but I haven’t personally tried them.

      Yes, as @alexsad1000 stated. The Super Toro / SS Orange blend is a very satisfying combination. KSSO does not have the best tension maintenance, but it's not terrible and I will always prioritize performance and feel over longevity.

    Good review! I'll have to order some of this. Curious if you've tried to hybrid it with anything before? Probably as the main, but I guess also as a cross.
    My current main is TruPro FireWire 17 (black). It's a triangular string. Curious how Super Toro would compare to it in terms of control, spin and comfort.

      I did, you can find the links to several Super Toro blend reviews (Super Toro mains) in the description. In short, I found a full bed of Super Toro to be better than the few blend combinations.
      I have a couple of TruPro strings on my list for future reviews, but have not considered FireWire yet. Thanks for watching

    Great review, thanks. I’ve recently moved from super toro w/ wasabi x to super toro full bed and still comparing them. But loving the full bed. Even more than the full bed of grapplesnake m8 (both with 50lbs on a blade 98) - and I’m assuming it’s because of the higher super toro’s snapback? Maybe. Toro toro next

      I liked the idea of that blend, but I do prefer the full bed of Super Toro as well. Regarding Tour M8 and Super Toro, I would agree about the difference between snapback is a key factor in the difference in feel. They are both excellent poly's, but on somewhat opposite sides of the poly spectrum.

    These are great videos for people like me who are around 4.0 and don’t always hit hard. Helps to understand if the string ideal or not for my type of play. I use at 18x20 and I am still curious to see how you rate M8 and if there is a poly you suggest for a 18x20 that’s not too stiff on the arm.

      The Grapple Tour M8 review is not formally done yet, but I've been a regular user of Grapple Tour M8 for about 2 years. I've used it extensively, in fact more than 2 reels worth of play. Tour M8 is somewhat similar to Kirschbaum Orange in that both are softer poly's and therefore great options for the majority of players in the 3.5 to 4.5 range. As a 4.0 with a 18x20 pattern it's very likely you will enjoy Tour M8 and meet your needs of not being harsh on the arm as long as you stay below 50lbs in tension for an 18x20 pattern. In order to do an accurate review I want to lace up another racquet with Tour M8 since it's been a few months.

    Excellent string reviews! I am loving Super Toro and I was wondering how Restring Sync compares to it?

    • @TK-Tennis
      @TK-Tennis  5 місяців тому +1

      Restring Zero is very similar to Super Toro, but I would not consider the same for Sync. Sync does not offer the same crisp-like feeling and is not as demanding. It does not have a hyper slick coating and therefore lacks that highly responsive snapback feeling of Zero or Super Toro. It's a more friendly control oriented string that has a slightly softer feel and suits a wider range of players looking for something a little more friendly. The biggest negative of Sync in my opinion is durability, it has 60-80% of the lifespan of Super Toro. I did a blend review on Sync but still need to do a full bed review. Hope that helps and thanks for the compliment.

    Thanks TK - especially the sobering reminder we're not all as good as we think we are in our minfs/dreams. 😂
    What might be a recommended string for a more intermediate crowd?
    Thx so much.

    • @TK-Tennis
      @TK-Tennis  5 місяців тому +1

      If you prefer poly's in a full bed, then my current recommendation for intermediates would be to seek out softer poly's such as Grapple Snake Tour M8, Kirschbaum Orange or even Technifibre Razor Code Soft. However my son is stringing for all the local players in town and we are finding many many players are enjoying a Poly in the mains and Head Velocity MLT multi in the crosses. This poly/multi hybrid is really nice on the arm with the nice balance of control from the Poly and liveliness from the MLT multi. The only small downside is Head MLT will fray before it breaks and that in between stage loses some playability.

      A list of all the reviews are listed in the description of each video. I did review Super Toro/Wasabi X: ua-cam.com/video/MzXDGgwgYc0/v-deo.html
