Had one just like it. Same year, same colour. 1974 it took me and my girlfriend from Copenhagen to Paris and back, without a single issue. March speed apx. 65 m/h:)
Great drone work!! Wow!! I also love the detail in filming by having lights inside the bus and the bug while towing..I just subscribed. I miss being a part of the community. I was in my 40s when I purchased my first VW, a 71 microbus from Illinois, named her Hildegarde. Drove it for 2 years and then couldn't afford to rebuild the engine. My first VW was a 76 Super Beetle convertible in high school. early 80's. The driver's side floorboard was rusted out but didn't care. Loved it.
Another great video from VW Life. What a fantastic group of guys who love their hobby. I love your videos because they always leave me with a smile on my face and motivation to get going on my own stuff.
WOW WHAT A NICE FIND !!!!!! That car looks awesome as is !!! Turn key beauty!!!! Can’t wait to come out for the harvest !!!! Wait !! We can have the show at your house !!! You guys have a whole corral of VW’s to see !!!!!!
You all are gettin fancy with your lighting, nice touch, great car. I just got a Ghia thats been sitting for 20years in a nice dry garage, minimal rust, so much fun!
Wow nice video guys everytime I watch your videos you guys are rescuing another beautiful bug I like the VW bug 😁a lot keep up the good work finding the bugs and keep bringing them back to life 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 love your videos god bless and stay safe
Had a 63' 45yrs ago it was a great car till my dad took it to work because it was the last car in the driveway ( of the 3-4 bugs we had at the time) and it totaled by someone that pulled out into its path @ 45mph(VW brakes). That was a good car
They are small,..you can collect them all! I remember lowering my first beetle at 16 years old,..pulling the front leaves...not such a good idear! Thanks for posting, keeps the VW fever going.
1:30...Actually, 40hp motors are not invincible if you neglect adjusting the valves every 6k miles, like I did on my first '62 sunroof bug. But that was back when I was young and didn't know better. 1:53...Turquoise (Ger. Türkis) was THEE most popular color for bugs (on US export versions at least) from the 1961 to 1963 model years.
I thought you all were trying to sell vehicles??? 🥰 too funny. I love the bug and love the Schwinn bikes also (I wish I could play the Sanford and Son theme song right now)
Great 63 ! Great find !! What you guys think it will sell for when you get it ready for the road ???? Can you keep me in mind interested . Keep up the great video on UA-cam!!! Big fan
Good that it was in storage; they could’ve at least put an indoor cover on. Spot on on the lower hp engines. They are slow but they’ll last forever. By the looks of the fan housing it might’ve had a minor engine fire.
Just subscribed to your channel so I can watch y’all get this little sweetie tuned up n running. Great find. I had a 68. Loved the thing but guy before me did bad engine overhaul and I was always wrenching on the damn thing.
I haven't seen a late 70s end of the run Beetle mentioned in quite a while. It seems like everybody has '60s bugs. Where did the mid '70s bugs go? Sound off if you have a '78 convertible or a '77 full Beetle. Surely some have survived.
@@VWLifeVW I was wondering how you built your score sheets and did your scoring ? I’ve watched the June bug videos and it gave me great ideas. The sheets you used and how you get the top 3 would really help!!!
Really neat find. Trailering can be a wild experience. You guys must have done this prior to the monsoon season. And how far did you have to go? I need a roof replacement. Any suggestions?
@@charleslawrence7194 i know they sell Split window roofs now, but not sure if bay's are different. you might want to find one in a junk yard, or fix what you have classicsteelbody.com/collections/bus-roof-sheet-metal/products/roof-panel-1955-67-t1-solid
Check the oil, and electrical are all good and if you can turn it by hand. I say put a battery and a little gas down the carb and see if it fires up. -Martin
Wow that is stunning!!! That is the exact model as herbie!! Even the off white color is the exact color as herbie!!!
VW Life, What a great way to wind down my 16th birthday. Great job Matt Jackson!
Thanks axel happy birthday!
There's nothing better then the smell of an old Volkswagen.........................
it's so good!
It’s that coconut fiber they used inside the seats.

My first bug was a 1961, I was 16 years old.
Miss that old girl, tons of memories.
Locked away for 20 years! So happy she sees light again.

Not yet!

Yay, thank you!
1st VW I ever had back in 1972 . That's a dandy .
Indeed it is!
I would so love that Bug - as I was born in 1963. Great rescue, and nice to see one that it nice and dry.

Wow, you’re gonna put 2 entire weekends into this one? I think it deserves every minute of it!
My first beetle was a 1962/63 in the same color. It was back in 1976 and I was just 14 years old. Its looks like a solid car, a garage find!😂👍🏻😍

Herbie was a 1963 bug , beautiful bloody cars
Sway bars make great tow mounts..

Has it been sold yet ? Thanks
Yes
Is the 63 for sale? Hit me up. Love that year.
It will be. We are going to to put some work into it but we could sell it now if the price is right. Email us at Vwlifevw@gmail.com

ah okay :)

What do you have want to know?

When will you get the 1963 VW Beetle safe for the road and what is the selling price ?
1 month $8500
I need, I want.
Ha ha ha
They say cargo shorts are out of style 🤭 .... they must not own a VW 🤣. Keep putting them back on the road !!

What's the info on that winch ????
you don't want this one, we need an upgrade :)

Nice
Looks like no real rust on it.
not really, a little under the brake master
Nice find. I'd love to know what you paid and what it will re sell for. I'm already over my plan on an 88 cabriolet but I'm not complaining
When will it be for sale? I could use a ‘63 bug to match my ‘63 bus
Hopefully July

Really neat find. Trailering can be a wild experience. You guys must have done this prior to the monsoon season. And how far did you have to go? I need a roof replacement. Any suggestions?
you need a roof replaced on what?
My communication skills are bad. I have a 69 bay window that suffered damage due to a fallen tree.

Why do all Volkswagens smell the same? Have we pinned it down to one thing? Vinyl? Horsehair? What is it?
its TURKISE!!! hahahahahaaaa!! it's just such a beautiful car! know any bugs for sale? if so can I get a website or something?
Best you ring Tom Cotter and tell him to add another one to the list.
yeah, need to keep him updated :)
The one time you don't carry 4 spare rollers you wind up pushing on flat tires.
yeah the brakes were the main issue, all seized up.
You got a rare car , 1963 beetle , I know Herbie was 1963 beetle , renew the whole car
What happened to the bikes 🤔
owner kept them :( we wanted them too
I found a 66 that's been parked in a garage for 4 years, can I just get a battery and run it out do I need to change oil, gas and plugs first?
Check the oil, and electrical are all good and if you can turn it by hand. I say put a battery and a little gas down the carb and see if it fires up. -Martin
