Blasters as projectile AOE weapons are actually really unique among games because they always explode after a set distance as opposed to on impact. Totally changes the way you use them.
I've tried playing Range a bit before but felt like I wasn't doing very well so I figured it just wasn't a good fit for me, but decided to watch this video anyways because why not and it actually ended up being very helpful! Might have to try it again sometime now that I know more about how it should be played ((all the flashiest clips with any blaster are directs so I assumed you were supposed to. Have good enough aim to consistently hit directs.)) and that it'd take more time to know whether or not I could be good with it!
Range blaster is actually by far the easiest blaster for me, maybe its because I play a lot of splatlings which tend to be midrange, and the main way you get kills is by leveraging your range against shorter range opponents and leveraging your fire rate against longer range opponents (which is why I hate fighting against the same weapon), so maybe the spacing which is similar to other mid lines just comes easier to me. When I tried to play luna blaster I did absolutely terrible.
It’s gonna be my second main behind eliter. I like a lot of weapons but this is the only one in the blaster class I’m a fan of. I did great with it tonight. Got way more directs than I thought. That close up eliter fighting gave me some good skills.
@@13_cmi splat 2 range is just sad but as long as ur still havign fun with it. i believe in you 13, you can get better at the game i believeeeeeeee!!!!!! best of luck for whenver you start Splat 3!
Am currently trying to learn range blaster, I struggle the most with spacing ( mainly bc my switch rn has a form of joy on drift ) but I do what I can with what I have. By far one of my favourite weapon designs in the game, I just have to learn to use it properly : D
This weapon and its kit resonate so much with my playstyle that I almost don't mind how hard it is to use, especially since this is my first time playing splatoon.
@@MILOEBA Hi! Range blaster has been my main now!! I'm still not the best at it but I'm surprisingly getting a lot of kills with it. I still have problems with ink cuz I seem to chuck suction bombs at the opponent a lot lol
Chara said to keep your distance relative to your effective range but for me its 2 options: 1: go rush them to go for a funny close up direct flick or 2: die because i missed/traded with the enemy
to be real blasters are really easy to use and OP because of there two shot splash and the one hit ko. so basically if you decide that you don't want to aim you win and if you do you win
i came to this video because i thought i was doing something wrong with range blaster turns out i was doing litterally everything they mentioned in this video and i just kinda suck
You need intensify action, no questions asked. Intensify action decreases jump RNG (shot spread while airborne), and blaster are the most affected by jump RNG, turning a one shot kill to a complete miss on occasions. Please get intensify action or else you will cry.
is it just me or is it that blaster blast radius is too big... just slightly. i am seeing these blaster shots be too far away to hit me but oooooooooooo no dude that hit you enven though it was no where near you or the explosion was on the other side of a wall. nup mate ur ded. Don't get me wrong splat 3 is eons better than 2 but at least in 2 the blasters didn't hit me from a 5 meters out of its blast radius. THAT OR PUT THE TICK RATE UP BY AT LEAST 50% SO THAT EVERY CLOSE QUARTERS FIGHT IS NOT A TRADING GAME OF CHANCE.
That's due to lag. It happens with all weapons. It's even worse with Main Weapons that are accurate like the Squeezer where you see and hear that you hit the opponent, but the game simply ignores it.
@@n4n196I don't know what you mean by “tick rate”, but if lag disappeared or if lag was significantly reduced, then it would change the strength of many Main Weapons in practice. I no longer play Squeezer and Bloblobber due to the lag issue since way too many times I actually miss the opponent (according to the game state of the host) even though I got a visual and auditive confirmation that the opponent was hit. One time an opponent did not even move and I was standing directly in front of the opponent where I shot the opponent 7 times with Squeezer, which would have splatted the opponent more than twice, but the opponent still survived due to lag.
@@n4n196 A higher refresh rate would not change the balance unless the many current refresh rates are also responsible for desynchronisations of gamestate. I hoped that the refresh rate was consistent in order to avoid such bugs, which could look like lag. I've actually seen many fixes of such bugs in the updates notes of Splatoon, so it's probably a common source of desychronisation, which is frankly unacceptible for a "competitive" game.
How come this is charas first range blaster guide that I know of
becuase we prepared the script and subtitles months ago
the virgin "spacing out to consistently hit indirects"
VS
the Chad "running in and going for directs to get dopamine from the hit sound"
I highly recommend starting with shorter range blasters before jumping into this one not counting clash because that weapon plays very different

Aww, true, yeah! ^^ Agreed, it's really cool!
I've waited so long for this guide helps so much thanks!

hence why i am watching this vid
With intensify the range blaster just feels like a charger that doesn't need to charge
Ayyy. You got Chara in on this. Awesome. I am not a big fan of Range Blasters, but I have definitely trying to get better at it
You could have also mentioned the hipfire spread is reduced by intensify action for those who don't know
What is hipfire spread?

you got RNG directed by the range blaster!

Woah Prochara and blaster :0
is range blaster more popular than blaster? ive been encountered way more ranged blaster users than normal blaster users

honestly i just need help dealing with opposing range blasters 😭
Uhhh...did you say 2 MAINS of intensify action?
I think that’s the problem -___- I don’t run any mains of IA
Which abilities should i focus as a Range Blater Main Player?

I just don’t like the blast radius on any blaster
