Amazing video and everything you found but I will stick to the fact that in your company you have a Greek, I want you to give it my greetings and my love from Greece and I was really glad that you have him as a friend!! Congratulations!! Good luck and always with care!! Just tell me if he has Facebook to look for him!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks, yeah that's the plan, I have it sitting in a bath right now and when I come home I will take some videos. Though it's a big peice so it will take some time.
@CoinandRelicOntario that's true, I took a peek before I left for my work trip and I could already see a bigger quartz crystal being ethced out that I hadn't noticed before.
Cool rock I’m new to this and I found and big agate nodule in a rock. I have mostly sculpted out the parent rock but I’m at the point where just a hammer won’t do. How do I separate the nodule from the rock proceeding forward?
@a.h8606 If you are talking about polishing the agate then you want to invest in sand paper or polish pads that is specifically for polish rocks. There are other low cost methods of polishing rocks. Like a flat plane of glass and grit paste though i don't have experience with this method. Big thing is try to only do wet polishing as the dust from polishing can harm your lungs badly in the long term. And even when you wet polish you should where a dust mask.
@a.h8606 no worries, there are plenty of resources online that you can use to get more info on how to polish stuff on a budget, I would definitely recommend searching those out. Reddit might be a good place to look as well as Facebook groups.
Nice adventure. Thank you
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Very Good find. The little dissolution of quartz makes all funny.
Thanks!
Those are all nice. Really like that big one 😊
Thanks 😀
They're all great. However, some of those small ones were my favs!
Please update us on that bg plate after the acid bath!
Cheers Aidan!
Good one!
I plan on doing a short on the etching process.
Good video bud. Love that last specimen. Would be great to see it finished.
Thanks. Will hopefully be posting a short video on the etching process.
Nice finds! Smokey is my favorite type of quartz. Definitely do some update photos after the acid baths!

Hi Aidan, are you doing an after video once the etching is done?? Pretty nice quartz for Ontario TBH. 👍😁
Thanks, yeah that's the plan, I have it sitting in a bath right now and when I come home I will take some videos. Though it's a big peice so it will take some time.
@@Ontario_Rockhound Etching is fun. You just don't know eh? 😁

Thanks. Get some chisels for breaking and splitting rock, avoid chiseling near the agate as that increases you chances of damage the agate.

I see thank you.
Also to smooth out the crystal does sand paper work

Yes I have been warned about silicosis.
Will take heed to that.
Thanks dude

And what are you going to do with them?
Some will end up in my collection/display case, and others will be for gifts and giveaway.
Awesome finds !!!
