A necromancer is a magic user specializing in death. It could include things like creating zombies, making blood sacrifices to summon demons, or using the life force or souls of victims to power their spells. It doesn't have to be black magic, someone who can just communicate with ghosts as an example, but it usually is considered to be dark and evil magic.
I see that the time skips in the earlier episodes signifies how it looks like on Frieren’s POV. But now, time is becoming to be slower as Frieren starting to learn more about human and emotions
This show just gets better and better its become one of my favorite SHOWS of all time not just anime. I'm looking forward to your reactions to the rest of it!
its not really "time skips", but more that different episodes will take so much time. One might cover 6 months, while another may cover a few hours. And in some cases, several episodes will be part of a larger story where the pick up immediately after the prior. Only in the first couple of episodes did we skip over decades of time. Now it will be more like in episode 3 were they are doing something that will take a lot of time.
The journey would actually take about a year (they weren't the only ones to make it), but it took them ten for resons that will be eventually disclosed. (Some not revealed in this season)
Stark is a great add to our party of mages and serves as comic relief/contrast to our introverted female leads. Quite a bit more affable/extroverted than Fern or Frieren Also has Himmel-like qualities in that he helps everyone, and is liked by all as shown by how the town receives him with kindness/generosity
To be able to speak to a friend who's already passed away is already grand, don't you think? I've lost my soulmate to death, a mere ten year journey is nothing if it meant that I could speak with my soulmate again, even if for a brief moment. Do you think this premise is trivial and boring?
We're very sorry to hear about your loss, we can't imagine how hard that must have been. We do not find this premise as boring at all. This is a show that is very different from what we're used to watching. The latest shows we've reacted to have given us alot of "doom and gloom" and so it's been interesting to see a story like this unfold little by little. It's been fun witnessing Frieren's journey and theorizing what her end goal is with all the time she has available and it's sparked a ton of conversation
Frieren was so pissed that she charged the spell a lot.
