      This is rlly important. Depending on the pack from my experience. I have packs with all tuned 808s, and some packs where every 808 is tuned different 💀

    I usually would just pitch the bass notes up an octave or two and just do it by ear. Works every time. Good speakers help also.

    It will only work if you use little flimsy shitty ass synths like the one in the video here. Anything more complex harmonically and ableton will trip up for sure.

    Yeah... I'm never going to use that, since I'm able to arrange 808s in much more exciting ways than the root note of every chord following the exact rhythm of the chord progression 😂

    One time I got a kick, used the EQ8 and boosted the fundamental with the most narrow Q, and it creates a long resonant tail which turns the kick into somewhat of an 808.

      This doesn’t mean noncreative, it just a start point. You can start from here, then staccato, octave jump, slide whatever you want.

    this is dope af but In feel like its for ppl starting off, most veteran producers would probably hate on this and tell you to learn how to notice if sumn is in or out of key, which isn't a bad idea. But, Once again, i think this is dope af and I will utilize it.

      A veteran producer would say that you should absolutely utilize every tool at your availability, especially if it helps your production process. Anyone who would try to say that you shouldn’t do something like this because you need to learn how to tell if it’s in key probably wouldn’t even be a veteran producer, but they would for sure be a veteran dickbag. People who say things like that just do it to try and feel superior to others because they are insecure about their own talent. That isn’t to say you shouldn’t train your ears to know what’s in key and what isn’t, but to purposely handicap yourself by refusing to use tools to make it easier or double check would be foolish.

      @kuroki listen to old WuTang. Its clear RZA sometimes didnt tune his 808’s or bass chops to be in key with the samples. That made them grittier.

    The reason 808's are out of tune is because most producers just assume every 808 sample is tuned to C and they don't bother checking it and can't hear a 1 semitone difference.

      this video is to help people who’s bass notes are out of key. if you know music theory, your bass notes shouldn’t be out of key in the first place, and therefore this video shouldn’t apply to you whatsoever
