Hey I’m considering the streetfighter v2 and the super duke 1290 r evo since they are very close in price. Why did you trade “down”? To me it seems that the super duke has more power, better suspension and brakes. Would like to know why you made the switch!
@@MrWallexxx I chose the 1290 SuperDuke R back then coz I wanted to have something that I can ride daily. It's a very comfortable bike and very easy to ride despite of its beefy engine. I absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone. The reason I switched is the wind force while riding on the highways is not very comfortable at times. Any time I go over 135 mph I found myself not comfortable. With this motorcycle you would want to push the limits sometimes and I found that at higher speeds I am not enjoying it as much as I wanted to. But on the streets it was just so easy and comfortable. Now I only ride on the weekends since I work remotely so the Panigale V2 gives me the thrill I needed. I am on open roads most of the time so this worked out for me. @@ramimxss Sorry for the late reply - spent some time on a Caribbean beach. It's both a little out of my price range for a sports bike and if I'm gonna ride something that big, it'll be comfortable a cruiser or ADV bike.
I had one for a little over a year and it is by far the best looking bike - Panigale line-up - by far of many bikes. I just could not do the heat. Even with that AM heatshield. Still a great bike.
This bike is definitely on my list to ride. I have a BMW 1250 GSA and absolutely love the screen layout and navigating through it so its interesting to hear that this one is better? Maybe for the sport bike market? You voiced the heat from the exhaust that is the biggest complaint I have heard from all reviewers.
I accidentally got on the highway once on a 125cc in the dark, in winter. I couldn't get off the road for like 20 miles and was absolutely freezing cold, wearing jeans. Man.... that really, really sucked balls big time.
Had mine since 2020, wouldn't trade it for any other bike. I will say they are sooooo expensive to own but other than that it rides great on the track, just kind of heavy compared to other bikes.
OC: I would choose the Ducati over the JDM. You really can't beat Ducati when it comes to the looks of a bike. Ducati knock it outta the park consistently. One requirement of ownership of a Panigale that Chase didn't mention is on top of the sticker price of the bike, is the money you'll definitely spend at a chiropractor's office. I owned a 959 and at first loved it, despite riding it during summer in Georgia. My mind loved the looks and the speed, but my back was like waiter this isn't what I ordered. It's the reason if I got another Ducati I'm certain it'll be a Ducati Streetfighter V2 or maybe V4.
Once I am off my LAMS restrictions it is literally between one of these and a ‘busa for my next bike. If I do get the Ducati though, will probably keep my cbr500r for commuting lol
I own a V2 and recently got a chance riding a V4. Contradict most reviews, surprisingly I found V4 is actually the easier one (although more heat) to ride in the city/street, plusher at lower rev, smoother for stop and go traffic. Probably due to the four-cylinders nature? Anyone who shares the same feeling? Considering trading my v2 for a used V4 if there’s one coming out to the market.
I've never ridden a Panigale V4, but I have ridden a Streetfighter V4S. You are correct. The Streetfighter V4s is WAY easier to ride than my Panigale V2. I was shocked, because I thought it would be harder to ride. You should get a quote on insurance prior to moving up to a Panigale V4 though. Insurance for a V4 is a lot more expensive than insurance for a V2.
They are definitely awesome. I think Aprilia messed up big time ending it's 1000cc V2, I wish they would bring it back...because I absolutely love mine but would like a little more modernized bike.
So mention the heat is typical panigale? So the V4 has the same heat issue with the V4 versus the V2? I also wonder if the heat comparable to the 2009-2014 R1 with the under seat exhaust. Thanks in advance
That's the stock exhaust, correct? I'm about to buy one and keeping my 2017 Sportster 883 :D, would anyone who has/had the bike help me settle this? - Does the seat get hot after a while of riding cause of the exhaust tube underneath? doable or much irritating? - How's the bike in general? Don't need it for high speed, just in the limits. - How is the maintenance on it and endurance? - Any accessories or tools to consider? Thank you!
We have a ton of mountain ranges with great roads all over the country. We have two of the most famous roads in the world in Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway. Shit, in Georgia where Chase lives (I think) there's a bunch of mountain roads. America is more than what you see on UA-cam lol
It is true that this isnt a bike who can be picked up to travel on highways to a city into another? A video said that this bike warm up like crazy in your right leg if you are not racing like crazy... is that true? great video btw, I enjoyed so much! keep up the good work and ride safe
@@francoisgodofe 😂👍🏼 I had before the 899 in white, so I wanted to have this beauty in red. And it was the right decision 😍 the heat is there…but I don’t want to overrate this, it’s totally fine for me. Especially if you ride with a leather suit, you will feel nothing. Enjoy the decision 😜
You said you can adjust the engine braking; I wish I could adjust mine. I have a 22 multistrada V4S and the engine braking is WAY TO MUCH. It will slow you down just as much as your brakes. if you are riding through tight mountain road you have to stay on the throttle or you will come to a stop and fall over.
I got the 2024 model and it still doesn't have a gauge. But one thing they do have which i like is once the reserve light turns on the trip meter changes to reserve meter. So from there you have 40-50 miles to find a gas station.
I rode an 883 as a first bike for a few months and sold it. Looking to get back into riding but wondering if this will do the trick as I consider myself still fairly new. Or is there a more basic Ducati than this?
@@dwightk.schruteiii8454 That's actually the name of the bike. It's called a supersport but it is NOT a crotch rocket. It's Ducati's sport touring bike.
V2 is 155hp.. faster bike than the 600’s, and 750’s. The R1 is of course faster. But, on the track or twisty’s the V2 runs with all the liter bikes… I ride with S1k’s and R1’s all the time. On the straight Highway roll racing is where you will see the liter bikes out run the V2. However, from a dead stop.. my V2 has out ran liter bikes up to 150mph just because of the electronics keeping the front wheel down. Thought I’d respond because I see a reply that said 140hp… that’s incorrect. 👍🏻
OC: If I was 30... hells, 20 years younger, I'd throw down the cash for a V2 without blinking, but now? MT-07 (or maybe a KTM 690 Duke) would be perfect for the type of area I live in and the roads I'd be riding.
Hello. I am brand new to bikes. I am a 30 year old adult. Is it POSSIBLE to buy this bike and learn on it slowly on weekends? I am not a crazy kid. I am mature and will not drive crazy for a long time.
I would say it's all upto you. You have the power and it's in your hand how u wanna use it. Don't underestimate the bike and don't overestimate your skills on it. Learn the bike for a few months, try new areas, get familiar with the electronics and I think you'll be fine.
This bike is amazing, but... I'm kinda leaning towards either the Streetfighter V2 or (more likely) the Hypermotard 950 SP. Was also looking at the Monster SP, but that one, I already have a 1000cc 4-cyl that i like (CB1000R black Edition that loves to scream!). NOt sure I'd get this one. As for the shifting... My 1000cc naked, I could probably make a trip to the supermarket, or anywhere in town, maybe even small highway, and keep it in first gear without red lining it. WOuldn't go crazy speed, but you could... Kinda an automatic? j/k.
I just got mine and I installed the heat spacers which reduces the heat by around 20-30%. It feels warm and nothing that is unbearable. But you will definitely feel it in start and stop traffic. I only take it out on the weekend mornings for fun when there's not much traffic and I haven't had any heat concerns so far.
God I hate catching a video on the premiere. I can never time it perfectly so that I am there from the moment it starts, so I always have to spend those first few minutes confused and feeling like there is something wrong with the video before realizing it's a damned premiere, so I have to back track it to the beginning, but not the actual beginning, since YT puts that stupid countdown on it, so I have to scrub through to the actual beginning of the video... what a massive pain in the ass.
if I wanted a supersport, I'd get either a CBR1000RRR whatever, though the price of this bike is quite high. I have always been a Kawi guy, bu tlately, the ZX-10R new design I'm not a huge fan of how it feels (pegs too high, not as much of a road bike as it used to be) and I'd probably go for a GSR-R1000 over this? This has more tech, but. EIther way, I'm more likely to go for a naked now a days. like Sttreet triple RS or XSR900 or z900RS, or even a Monster SP over this. For track, as I stated below, I'd get th Hypermotard. 950 SP. or RVE. OC

Hey guys would y’all pick the V2 or the R1? I have a naked gxsr 750 but I’d like a fairing bike and I don’t know what to get.
So mention the heat is typical panigale? So the V4 has the same heat issue with the V4 versus the V2? I also wonder if the heat comparable to the 2009-2014 R1 with the under seat exhaust. Thanks in advance
4:37 how are you going to use a fork stem mount on A tester bike? Don’t you need to drill a hole in the stem to use it?
Does the brake reservoir still rub up against the fairing or did Ducati fix that?
Supersport 950S is the sweet spot
The exhaust scrapes the track when you're leaning though. It's fantastic on the street but not on the track.
Could you guys review the Ducati Supersport 950?❤
Hey man, what's going on with venom's x22r max? I can't find a single second of content about it other than venom's own video.
Plz advise, I'm a canyon rider, i need enough power. need to be on it, not in it like gsxr, since I have a very short upper body. So this or the R1?
Would you choose the Ducati 💯✌🏽Ducati supersport better choice for city riding👍🏽
@12:00 the TRX casually behind him lol
It beats the gixxer 750 with ease. The 600s can’t keep up what so ever
Such a beautiful bike
That's the stock exhaust, correct?
I'm about to buy one and keeping my 2017 Sportster 883 :D, would anyone who has/had the bike help me settle this?
- Does the seat get hot after a while of riding cause of the exhaust tube underneath? doable or much irritating?
- How's the bike in general? Don't need it for high speed, just in the limits.
- How is the maintenance on it and endurance?
- Any accessories or tools to consider?
Thank you!
Question to ask is... A comparison about the v2, v4 or v4s?
do you also have corners in US or you just go straight?
We have lots of interstate and highways but yes we also have curvy and sharp backroads. Depends on where you're at too.
We have a ton of mountain ranges with great roads all over the country. We have two of the most famous roads in the world in Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway. Shit, in Georgia where Chase lives (I think) there's a bunch of mountain roads. America is more than what you see on UA-cam lol
anywhere in the usa besides florida. florida is flat is and straight
Depends on the region, Midwest is flat grasslands, west is more varied in elevation, as is the east. The south is flatter as well.
Do you realize that the US is a huge country with all kinds of terrain?
please please please ride an Aprilia RS 660
Love mine, no question or doubt.
Where is the other video Chase on two wheels with the guys from CFMoto?
Can you put the KTM 890 Adventure on the list for First Rides and Love the Vids.
Hey Chase, what riding jeans do you wear in your vids? Would love to get me a pair.
It is true that this isnt a bike who can be picked up to travel on highways to a city into another? A video said that this bike warm up like crazy in your right leg if you are not racing like crazy... is that true?
great video btw, I enjoyed so much! keep up the good work and ride safe
Are you going to review the new venom x22r max?
I rode in to work this morning on I-20, and my hands damn near froze lol.
I was in texas by I20. Same here. Haha
I‘m still in trouble…can’t choose between SFV2 and Panigale V2…
Same boat here 😅, did you finally choose one?
@@francoisgodofe yes, I took the Panigale V2. It’s a fantastic bike, the SFV2 felt too unspecial somehow. 😁
@@sahei3763 aaah damn, I’m in the same boat again 😅😅, almost put the order last Saturday. Did you go Red or White ? How is the heat?
@@francoisgodofe 😂👍🏼 I had before the 899 in white, so I wanted to have this beauty in red. And it was the right decision 😍 the heat is there…but I don’t want to overrate this, it’s totally fine for me. Especially if you ride with a leather suit, you will feel nothing. Enjoy the decision 😜
@@sahei3763 are these bikes as hot as people say? Or is it just over emphasized?
You said you can adjust the engine braking; I wish I could adjust mine. I have a 22 multistrada V4S and the engine braking is WAY TO MUCH. It will slow you down just as much as your brakes. if you are riding through tight mountain road you have to stay on the throttle or you will come to a stop and fall over.
If Ferrari built a motorcycle this is what it would look like! In Ferrari Racing red of course!
Does the '22 model have a fuel gauge?? I know it sounds ridiculous but the earlier ones didn't have it.
Supersport is similar but less power, money. Looks great!
@@elevationmoto6208 Thanks! Which supersport exactly?
@@dwightk.schruteiii8454
That's actually the name of the bike. It's called a supersport but it is NOT a crotch rocket. It's Ducati's sport touring bike.
@@smy5607 ty
7:04 Where does it sit performance wise? Is it performance like a 600 cc super sport or more like R1?
It's 140 HP vs 110 for a r6 or 185 for an r1
@@nth842 does the weight counteract that or something? If not that it’s only really comparable to a MV Agusta F3 or Super Veloce.
@@motosandmore interesting thanks. What’s your IG? Also you think you beat those bikes from a dig more due to wheelie control than the torque ?
how's the damper? u think I'll need a ohlins damper on that for the canyon
The damper is perfection. The bike is a twisty canyon beast.
It makes 76 ft lbs at 9000 rpms ,and makes more torque at 8500 rpms than a rs660.
If you're reviewing ducati. I think you should do an xdiavel. Or and indian scout rogue. Cheers brother
AWESOME VIDEO ! ! ! ! ! AMAZING FANTASTIC MAGICAL TOP ! ! ! ! !
OC: If I was 30... hells, 20 years younger, I'd throw down the cash for a V2 without blinking, but now? MT-07 (or maybe a KTM 690 Duke) would be perfect for the type of area I live in and the roads I'd be riding.
56 years old, my V2 is track and street. Heat sucks on the street in. S. Ca, but the riding position isn't exactly terrible.
890r is as fast or faster than this bike. More comfortable too.
@@nickmcalpin10 and it’s as ugly as a turd. But you should buy one.
Kinda an automatic? j/k.
Thinking about upgrading from my RS 660.... which I ride a LOT... anyone in here ridden both?
just sell my Ducati diavel and already miss it i want a v2 for my next bike❤
OC: I like wrenching on Ducati, so that would be my choice.
16:49 i really like the footage.
So if I'm 5'8 with a 31 inches inseam I can fit this bike ?
I am 5'10 and I can easily flat foot it. You should be totally fine on this.
does the engine heat affects the seat?
I just got mine and I installed the heat spacers which reduces the heat by around 20-30%. It feels warm and nothing that is unbearable. But you will definitely feel it in start and stop traffic. I only take it out on the weekend mornings for fun when there's not much traffic and I haven't had any heat concerns so far.
@@deepsahoo5297 thanks
Ahhh a Panigaaaaale
Oh my god I want one so bad
That rear seat is ridiculous
@chaseontwowheels, please do a review on Bmw R1250Rs
Posting limited reviews where you can't try each mode or "open up all the beans" is disappointing.
It pains me to see a fellow rider unable to lane split, it's like 50% of the experience of riding a motorcycle is being able to cut to the front.
Pretty sure he's just driving very safely and responsibly because it's not his bike lol.
if I wanted a supersport, I'd get either a CBR1000RRR whatever, though the price of this bike is quite high. 950 SP. or RVE.
OC
is Luke still around?
I like me a Panigale too, taste good dipped on cofee
The zx10rr is a lot more exp than the pani v2, probably referring to zx10r
