Same with Ducati vs a MT09 etc. Do you need a Ferrari no. But if you have the money yes. Some people just want dependable transportation no drama. Some people want an adventure. This video plus a whole lot of additional research including a bunch of test rides led me to get this bike at the end of the ‘23 season. Zack’s review is right on the money. Love this bike.
Fair review! Thumbs up. I owe this bike for a year now and you describe perfectly what it is. I’ve ridden it for 5 to 10-hour straight trips on mountain and countryside roads, I’ve ridden it on track, a bit in the city (which this bike simply hates), I’ve ridden it with and without passenger… and I’ve come to the same conclusions as you. I bought it just a couple of months after it was announced and there were not many reviews online. SV650 still king. Not surprising. I test rode it along with a speed twin and a few other bikes. By far the most comfortable and best geared bike I've rode so far.
Might be cool to see a track day comparo with some sticky tires against a standard Tuono or S1000R, or S1000XR with cheap, raised footpegs for that matter. That last part got a bit specific, but against a relatively expensive for a track bike yet super cool option as the SV2 is, it would be great to see it fulfill its purpose in some ways and see how it "measures" against what could be a variety of cool others.
Sexy bike reminiscent of my first gen Aprillia tuono V-2. It seemed great “on paper”, but sucked at track days, had limited range, (28 mpg when pushed) & was uncomfortable as hell on the street. It looked cool though.
I've got nothing against the Z H2 (well, maybe except for the weight), but I push the narrative that V engines are the sexiest and so I cannot vote for the Kawi in that respect. I do hope you enjoy the heck out of your new bike, though. Congratulations, it's a mean machine as well.💪
Replying to myself but I went from 110hp to 200ish hp OMG and not even giving it the beans (0 miles, just uncrated yesterday) its scary fast. Glad I didn't spend more on a SF V4 or M1000 R would have been wasted on me.
Hey! How about adding a cool 😎 emoji for the daily rider board, it would suggest that the bike is desirable and pretty good looking, like this Ducati streetfighter V2.
He mentions the different tune will not effect your daily ride, but in all actuality it fully relates to that daily ride. The lower rev higher low end torque is much better for daily driving around town use in the streetfighter, than the Panigale, who is tuned for the top end, higher horsepower "screamer" Super Sport "hyper" bike scene. Granted both have more than enough, the point is one is designed and tuned more for one situation than the other.
Yes, you can daily a SF V4S and ride it for hours on the weekends for fun. It does get hot in traffic but can ride it all day when it's constantly moving, get leathers if you're going to do a lot of highway so you don't get tired.
I had a sv650. It was a fun bike but that’s all. A little under powered. Looks are ok. Handling was good. Lacking in the tech department. IDK, the Streetfighter seems to be a superior form of transportation all around.
I think this is the most direct descendant of the first gen Monster 900. They just need to shave the unibrow and work a big round headlight into that cowl.
Will you ever daily ride some not that old-old BMWs? Like the 650s or f800s, which I found to be great daily riders. The newer 850 and 750 doesn't seem that appealing yet.

Awesome bike to ride. How does it compare to Street Tripllr RS?
SV650 still king. Not surprising. I test rode it along with a speed twin and a few other bikes. By far the most comfortable and best geared bike I've rode so far.
The sv650 is simply a good little motorcycle in a way a lot of expensive, complicated bikes are too focused to achieve.
Im not sure we should really be comparing an SV650 to a 150hp Ducati lol. However the MT07 might have something to say about this comment :)
Zach how is the wind on the highway having no windscreen. Love the looks and power of the bike.
Sexy bike reminiscent of my first gen Aprillia tuono V-2. It seemed great “on paper”, but sucked at track days, had limited range, (28 mpg when pushed) & was uncomfortable as hell on the street. It looked cool though.
Beautiful bike as always Ducati knows how to make a pretty bike, too bad the price xD
Love the looks of the SF but can't do $$/value, picking up my 23 Kawasaki Z H2 SE today which I got for less than the V2 and at 1.95% for 36m.
True but Ducati is Ducati
Good way to start a Saturday!!!!
10:27 - 10:35 Are you ever concerned about the tires slipping through the things on the bridge??
best looking Ducati
Keep ‘em coming
i think the best commuting ducati bike is the Hyper950, it's fun, it's light weight, and it's NOT HOT in temperature!
At how many miles and what is the dealer charge for the major valve inspection service?
Our MVP asking the right questions. The Hero we need but don't deserve. 😎👍
What ever happened to the ctxp Sondors episode? P.s. camera was good enough
here in Aussie, 2023 Ducati streetfighter V2 is $24,200.00. Still a sweet set of wheels, haha.
Crazy😢
I like the idea of this bike, a lot! I think I still like the SuperSport better though!
By the time you go for the super sport you’re getting pretty close to a ninja 1000 and not having to worry about it blowing up on you nearly as often.
Being that now a used sfv2 and used sfv4 is only $2k difference, which would you go with
I wonder if the Ducati Monster is a better daily. Perhaps more manageable at low RPM's and maybe better at wheelies?
That's a spicy meatballa!
Hey Zack love the series. Can you do the Diavel or xDiavel?
Is the v4s as comfy as you described? Someday I aspire to a Street fighter, but not if it breaks me up.
Yes, you can daily a SF V4S and ride it for hours on the weekends for fun.
It does get hot in traffic but can ride it all day when it's constantly moving, get leathers if you're going to do a lot of highway so you don't get tired.
SuperSport 950 coming?
I like it A-LOT! 🤟😎
I had a sv650. It was a fun bike but that’s all. A little under powered. Looks are ok. Handling was good. Lacking in the tech department. IDK, the Streetfighter seems to be a superior form of transportation all around.
Nice bike. What’s the mirror fix? Bar ends?
I think this is the most direct descendant of the first gen Monster 900. They just need to shave the unibrow and work a big round headlight into that cowl.
I love these videos.
Can someone explain, what is that horizontal rode kinda thing right where u put the keys?
Handlebar stabilizer.
Which jacket is that? It looks comfy.
Will you ever daily ride some not that old-old BMWs? Like the 650s or f800s, which I found to be great daily riders. The newer 850 and 750 doesn't seem that appealing yet.
Why is your screen protecter upside down??
