Fast Schindler PORT Elevators At The NY Marriott Marquis Hotel In Midtown Manhattan NYC (04/02/2023)

Sunday, 04/02/2023, taken at around 7:15-7:30 PM ish, this is taking rides on some fast elevators at the NY Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square of Midtown, Manhattan, New York City. This is riding non-scenic car N, and scenic cars I, E, and B. These elevators used to be Schindler Miconic 10, but were modernized in the early 2020s into Schindler PORT.

Apparently high rise has emergency floors on 10 14 17 20 26

The only reason they upgraded these amazing elevators from miconic 10 was that apparently, hotel guests complained about the loud beeping they made when they screamed „TAKE CAR A“

beside from that, the old M10 systems also have some glitches and other bugs and issues through.

They were modernized because PORT is a far more optimized and supported platform. Miconic 10 by the time they modernized them had become old; and was not a common or traditional system to say the least. The Miconic 10s were more fun because of their quirks, but the PORT system serves the hotel and it's guests better.
