Pond Leak SUCCESS Story - What Losing 100,000 Gallons of Water Per Day Looked Like
Вставка

- Seekleak polymer treatments have fixed our pond leak. We were losing over 4" of water depth on our 1 acre pond per day in the summer of 2023 with the drought and our massive leak in our pond. But after treating it aggressively with Seekleak Polymer from TJ Hudson at HudLand Management, we have now slowed the daily loss of our pond to only 1/2" per day. We were losing over 100,000 gallons of water out the bottom of our pond, and now we've successfully raised the water level back to normal.
Our pond leak journey has been full of surprises, and learning experiences. If you have a pond leak, please reach out, I'd be glad to share our story and offer up some of our lessons learned. Follow our channel for more pond management and strategy and outdoor adventure content.

Rising water is definitely something to be thankful for!
i would consider putting gravel and then larger rocks at the base of the pipe to solidify it more and make a floating platform for the swans(or plants) that can telescope up and down as water rises and falls. smaller pipe in the big pipe to keep it from floating off and give it vertical movement.
im loving this pond build i hope your walleyes become fat and plentiful!
Thanks for the ideas, and for watching the build. We can definitely do gravel and rocks around the pipe to solidify. I’m hopeful the perch will produce the forage for the walleyes to get fat and happy!
You got walleye in your pond!!! You lucky man!
We are certainly blessed to be able to manage a pond for walleye. Thanks for watching and following along. The waterfall in the pond is going to be a game changer for the walleye in the spring. I’ll do my best to grow them as big as we can.
Could pile up some branches against the pipe, or build some pvc structure to mount to the pipe.
That waterfall is gonna be sweet. I'm anxious to see a walleye getting caught. Gets me excited to start catching some small walleye in my own lake next year.
Oh man…me too! The waterfall is like the big Christmas present that’s sitting in the corner wrapped up since August that we can’t play with yet. Patience is hard! I’m excited for you. I’m planning some ice fishing videos so hopefully you’ll get to see the walleyes bite the baits and catch em on camera!
Having a giant lever over the hole sounds like trouble. If ice moves it, or a boat, it could tear out the seal. You may need to dive down with a hacksaw and get to work LOL
I have considered the hacksaw! 😀 I agree that I need to get it cut another 1-2’ lower. Pondering how to logistically cut 6” pvc underwater.
First class pond...beautiful. Can't wait for Spring!
Thanks! I’m looking forward to spring for sure, but ice season offers its own unique experiences. That’s what I love about the seasons in the midwest. God’s design of bringing life out of what seemingly looks dead. Beautiful picture of the Good News in creation.
Congratulations. My pond still sucks.
Thanks. Sorry to hear you’re struggling with your pond. It’s frustrating for sure. Let me know if I can help strategize.
How large is your pond in acres?
Right at ~1 acre
How much did the seekleak cost?
It costs about $12.50 per 100 sq ft of surface coverage. Depends a little on the shipping cost to your location. Sold in 110 lb units. So it’s shipped on pallets. Each unit will cover about 4,400 sq ft of surface water when applied as directed.
