Thanks…initial daily water level readings have been trending positively! Hopeful it continues. The Seekleak polymer continues to expand for 3 weeks….so in theory it should lock it all up tighter over the next couple weeks.
I've been excavation business 34yrs....off and on...they say definition of insanity is :"you keep doing same thing expecting different results ", ....i wish id found your info years ago.....you just gained another subscriber my friend. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you and guide you into all truth.
Wow, thank you. I’m honored. This is our first pond build and have learned so much in the process. Don’t feel bad, I only learned this this year. Blessings to you as well, and thanks for watching!
Awesome way to start a video, "GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST", I appreciate that more than anything, and im trying to get ahold of hudland management, you made me a believer with that jar test you did
Amen Brother, praise Jesus! Glad you found that helpful. If you don’t get an email response in the next few days, let me know and I’ll reach out to him on your behalf to connect you.
Id try a lawmower tube, mark pipe at water level, then put tube over pipe and inflate, it blows up muck bigger then mower wheel and should hold your pipe uo?
Have you tried " bright dyes" brand tablets? They have fluorescent ones, I have water coming up down below a pond, looks like spring, but I'm hoping fluorescent dye will show up if coming from pond. Just wondering if anyone's used it ,? If it lights up with black light?
I haven’t tried the bright dye tablets. Just the bright dye liquid dye so far. I didn’t try the black light, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did show up in a UV light.
Yeah, I believe it was a weak area (sand/gravel vein in the clay) in the basin that started as a crack and grew larger as the pond filled and increased the hydrostatic pressure. The hole is in the deepest part of the pond, under the most pressure. Our pond basin was not compacted, and that was our first mistake. We had one area where ground water seeped in when we started digging, but that is in another spot of the pond, and that area does not appear to be leaking at all. But we’ve got this 85% plugged currently, and will continue trying to seal it completely this spring with polymer treatment.
@@newnatureadventures awesome man. I have a failed pond that I believe to have the same issue. It’s always very low. I have a leak somewhere. It’s been 4 years now and isn’t getting any better. There’s so many different options to try and non of them have a guarantee. I don’t want to drain it and lose my cat. I might have missed it but what’s that scope you’re using?
@Darrenbrown09 Dang, I’m sorry you’re dealing with a leak. I feel your pain. I’m using an Aqua vu HDi7 camera searching the bottom. I found the leak using tracer pond dye. Not sure if you saw that video yet, but I tried to document how I did that. Our pond is pretty clear water, so I’m able to see well in the camera. I also didn’t want to drain our pond. I started working with TJ Hudson on the polymer treatment, and then we strategized on an approach to try and locate the leak. It took some effort, but we were able to isolate the leak with the tracer dye and the camera to watch where the dye was flowing. You can find that video on the channel if you haven’t seen that one yet. Let me know if I can help in any way. Hang in there!

Well done, looks like you got it. I hope it stays plugged.

Nice job. Great job as usual.
Creative problem solving once again. I hope this fixed it!
Me too…initial readings indicate it has helped!

Is this pond bottom footage or surface of the moon footage? Lol nice job
I know right? It looked wild how all the different substrates blended with the polymer. It was interesting for sure.

That’s a creative idea. I will have to figure out how to blow the tube up now that the pipe is 2’ under water.

Any clue what caused your leaky hole to form? Muskrat’s or natural water vein?
