Mason of Germany the only way is to use a glitch that sometimes happens when you fall through the earth but that needs a lot of Luck especially if your on a no jet pack server
ive found the best way to defend a base is to keep it mobile, a sandcrawler with all the things a base would normally need with outrider buggies and anti air turret point defence gets the job done, basically like a Rugged, more functional version of the daybreak you covered in another vid. if someone finds and attacks you, you can just, well, move after the initial wave, cant tunnel under a vehicle if it moves to a new location every so often. you can even add the anti-fighter poles to the roof of it, as well as add ablative skirt armor to the crawler to deflect kamikaze strikes from fighters. I like it in survival because you can constantly add to the beast using the welded on blocks from attackers's vehicles, usually ending up like a Frankenstein fort on wheels.
The poles seem extremely effective against small fighters in large quantities, simply because you need to fly in a straight line to avoid them, you don't wanna risk being destroyed by drifting and that allows turrets to hit you. And although ranged weapons are an easy counter, range can counter pretty much everything
Suggested improvements: 1 - More pylons. 2 - Pylons need to reach further into the sky. 3 - I personally would raise that base by at least 5 or 6 blocks and space out the blocks that connect to the ground, having a warhead at the very bottom of each block, but dug in so that players cannot see it. That way, if a player would like my base to collapse, they're going to have to take care of those support blocks in 10 different places before my building would collapse and even then, they're going to be blown up by the explosives if they try. 4 - Include more turrets on the under side of the base if you do raise it. 5 - I don't see any heavy defences (rockets, cannons etc) only regular turrets. You might want to think about placing those. 6 - neither do I see any lights that might come in handy at night. If the enemy is an AI, you might want to think about making enemy ships more visible, especially if you wish to shoot them yourself. If the enemy is a player you might want to blind them to disorient them even more AND make them more visible.
To add onto the mines, why don’t you make multiple blow up in a verticals column to make the creator used for cover a ditch that no ground vehicles or people can pass through. As it would be difficult to navigate, you can also set it to where it’s on 3 sides of your base if you have an entrance and lay most of the weaponry there.
I feel like the Pylons really serve no real purpose, wouldn't the ground turrets likely cut through them if an enemy got close enough. I also don't think anyone would actually attack a base like that. The turrets would likely be enough deterrent for them to try getting that close. I think what you really need to be scared of are bombing raids from high above your turrets' range. I wonder if you could build self sustaining turrets platforms that float above your base with atmospheric thrusters and solar panels. You would then just space those out to their max range a good distance above your base. If a bomber that doesn't have close range weapons tries flying through there they might get hit and if they take a fighter in to clear the platforms, you would then be alerted of their presence and could take a fighter out to shoot them down.
Scattered pylons like the ones shown have really limited use, pylons in line with turret towers may force their aircraft to take fire without the possibility of evasion
the solution about the litle trap hole with turrets underneeth is good also as the trenchs, but i think the best would be to just wholefully dig all around under the base, like a giant cave, filled with drones and turrets
You could make the trench a lot larger, and put the minefield outside of it. That would give you artificial high ground, a larger area with less cover for enemies, allow for more time in the minefield warning system, and protect more so against tunnelers.
Honestly if I would fly that close to the enemy base with a fighter than I would be dead even without your construction. I would simply be about 700m away and fire at your base and your defenses could barly do anything. EDIT: That is the real issue with having turrets as defenses. Unless you have scatterguns, they are dodgeable. Obviously it is harder on a planet than in space but, even if you would make those towers super tall, wouldn't people be able to slowly but surly blast those away? The best defense is concealment. They shall never know you are there or they will find a way to get you. Unless you have turrets with a slight deviation in the shots and a range above 800 meters, because the fighters weapons are 800m in range.
1, one could just hover above the pillars and take out the turrets from there 2, walls, well everyone has a darn jetpack 3, trenchs, well everyone has a darn jetpack 4, a minefield is 1 use only, you cant repair the ground in survial, having grinders underground how ever, it kills anything on the surface, and comes with the added bonus of collecting the materials 5, there was at least 2 direct ways under the base without hitting any of those turret caves, either there needs to be more in a overlapping pattern, or 1 big cave 6, the pillars could be knocked out just by shooting the buttom blocks
About the jetpack, did you forget about the turrets? Walls and trenches are supposed to be used against vehicles which can not be stopped with just a few bullets. Every player who is flying around with a jetpack will get killed like a fly when he gets just a tiny bit too close, and walls prevent an instant access. Minefield, well nice idea and the warheads are extremly powerful, but once the hole in the ground exists, you would need to build a platform so that vehicles could still move over it. The pillars are a nice idea but as you said, people would simply shoot them. Though then it would have the same effect as spreading out the AT-mines in Battlefield. You force the enemy to a stop until he dealt with the obstacles. You could then use the additional time to get rid of him before he reaches you. Nonetheless, you only slow him down at best and you need extremly tall pillars to defend your base. And with that much stuff you literally scream "ATTACK HERE" to anyone passing by because they see all those pillars and go investigating.
***** if you keep moving and carry enough H tanks with you dogeing turrets is not that hard really and about the whole pillars buying you tiime, well what if the attacker is in a different timezone and your sleeping, pretty sure that gives the attacker enough time to remove what needs to be removed
That's one thing I absolutely hate about stuff like this and I have no idea how to fix it. I used to play on faction servers in Minecraft and build really good bases but given enough time (while I'm not on the server), people would always find a way in. Same with this, it's all really cool but starting over every day or hoping that a miracle happened and no one saw your base while you were offline isn't any fun. There's no defense you can build that can't be overcome with enough time.
Hi Arron, love the multiplayer oriented videos. Do you think I could get a closer look at those vehicles you blew up in the video? I was hoping you could share some tips on how to build more effective wheeled vehicles that are good for transport in multiplayer. One problem I've encountered a lot is the wheels falling off randomly. Maybe pistons can be used as car jacks? either way, thanks and have a nice day.
What about having a large "minefield" of polls, that only spring up when enemy ships are in the area (extra points if they can stay down, if a friendly ship is above them). you can stick them to a chain of pistons that go deep underground. I don't know how deep you'd have to go w/pistons to be able to spring up a field of spikes, quickly and safely, (yeah, with pistons...) but then you'd be able to spear them while they're halfway though the field.
Since voxel obects that get split stay one entity you could use tonnes of warheads to blast a crater but leaving the inner territory intact and build an underground floating base. deffences from everything unless some one is so devoted to taking you down that they use all their weapons on you.
I am currently in the process of creating (in creative) a random in-mountain mega- base/bunk sort of build - which I have been gearing towards defensive measures from strictly Earthly terms (and not SEs semi-realistic physics and mechanics). But, I think I'm going to add some underground defenses now, as well as completely restructure the parts of the base with spaced armor that have more violent intruder repulsing qualities.
Except the pillars don't work, the mines have a big downside (but they sure as fuck will suprise anyone trying to dig) and if the squares with the turrets will actually work, eeehh.
I think that a well coordinated ground assault can deal with almost any defence. Do some good recon, use fast and agile troop carrier trucks or even dropships and use a strong enough gunship for CAS and you're almost guaranteed to have at least some guys make it through the defences.
The way in which Arron is using the Pylons in this case is not that effective. However when first starting out with a Planetary Lander, build a Pylon with an interior turret on top of it. This will give you some basic defense against people sneaking up on you as you'll hear the weapons fire and know something is up. Plus at a later date if you are near a area that has a lot of trees, you can build Pylons near trees and hide interior turrets in the trees. This tactic drives people nuts!
One thing that I wanted to defend from is orbital bombardment. Ships firing on your base from space. how would one defend themselves from such a attack?
What about carriers and fighter say some one enter you ship base e.g. and stole a fighter or carrier I had this problem on a sever is it possible to recover system there e.g
The best base is one way underground. A cavern surrounded by a wall then rock then a minefield. I mean way underground. With a tunnel connecting to a hidden shuttlebay. Shuttlebay with a door and tunnel but the end of the tunnel isn't finished. Just needs a missile or two to open it. And that's ur escape
I was wondering if you could make a vehicle that could lay a load of logs or rods into the trench to form a make shift path over the trench, like what the british used in ww1 and ww2 to clear anti tank ditches or trenches. I think it would be really cool, or if you could make it an operating system so it can be added to vehicles like a field modification instead of being its own vehicle. Think that would be a really cool thing to make.
Its way easier to just dig a long Tunnel inside a Mountain and after some Corners and a few but good placed Turrets have your base. Its Cheap, easy ... and in all honesty if you dont be super obvious about it the best defence there is. (Maybe build a Landmark somewhere near from where you can locate your base.)
If you just dig out the entire bottom instead of having little cubes you can use a couple turrets and basically make it pointless to dig under depending how deep it is
Communist_Penguin it's only a good idea if they are on outside of you're base and act as tank triss or used as barb wire defence you need dedicated aa guns with 360 view of sight or flank to effectively get rid of air.
And what would happen if the attackers were dropping from just above the pylons (flying over, jumping out, and slowing down with the jetpacks)? Sure, they'd have the turrets to deal with, but they're made their way in quite easily.
also it seemed that they should be closer together because when he flew micro henry around, it looked like he was trying to crash and failed until he rammed straight into one
Yep, and on top of that, a lot of fighters CAn navigate through them, but you'd have to be new to the game to even bother coming THIS close to turrets, where they will just shoot you down. But seeing as a custom turret with a camera can aim very accurately if built right and zoom in, or some a-hole can just rocket their base. The cables he referred to? They were deployed at night and were almost invisible. Meanwhile SE, blocks all but GLOW. Also, these ground tricks + SE LOD = MASSIVE crater if you're watching from 3-4 Km away. Now your base is super-visible. Enjoy.
Well, those cables worked during the day too but they were made to protect from bombers that wouldn't be able to hit the target if they flew above a few thousand feet. Now that we have the technology that makes it so planes don't have to basically be on top of the target to hit it, we've stopped using the cables because they're basically useless. It's even worse in SE because you can easily bomb someone from orbit.
ehhh.. the best kind of planet side base for pvp is to drill 3 or 4 kilometers deep and make a massive ant farm. it should be relatively difficult for most players to even effectively FIND a base that deep let alone actually figuring out how to attack it in a effective and timely manner. you could set up an orbital bombardment station to drill down but by the time it takes most bases should have either hidden all their valuables/ spirited them away or have launched a effective counter/ built up more defenses. the only viable attack methods then become tunneling down to fight in the foreign and unfamiliar mazes filled with turrets murder holes and devious traps. this type of base is easy to expand as you simply drill out more area and becomes exponentially more difficult to defeat the larger and more expansive your network of tunnels and rooms becomes
Bobo Won Translation: the rotors always cause problems, from making ships do odd flips and turns to bloody EXPLODING and causing big chunks of your ship to disappear, especially on large speeds.
I'd just capture a Mining Hauler or a Mine Layer and remote it into your base from above. End of base. Any surviving turrets would just exhaust themselves on the debris.
You don't, the game is optimised poorly and if you are playing online, the net code is absolute shit. Advice would be to have an Intel CPU also, what GPU are you running?
How do you actually build stuff underground while leaving the soil completely undisturbed in survival mode? I don't think any of these would actually work on a regular server because SE still doesn't give you the ability to put dirt back in a hole.
So, can you explain how do you use voxel hands to build underground in survival PVP? Or how is this base protected from unloading a full cargo of ore from 1km above? Its very nice and fancy, but seems very pointless.
one thing you need to worry about is respawn ships friend of mine has a floating base with everything jump drives gyros reactors med bay everything and all it took was on guy with a respawn ship becuase the server has a speed mod that allows speeds fastere than 100m/s
Just was curious as im currently browsing and i cant seem to find any good player filled planet pvp servers perhaps you can tell us or does anyone down here in the comments have one?
solution to any pesky base for me. step one. Construct a Icarus class frigate. step two. load said frigate with a single seat surrounded by a layer of armor and a single gyroscope with minimum thrusters. step three. proceed to drop a frigate on top of the base with the term "universe's most high speed face plant ever" being screamed at the top of your lungs. step four. respawn when your armored flight seat finally fails and you get turned into paste. step five. PROFIT!!!
well there are 2 flaws 1. you can dig deaper adn your turent, trench and those cubes are useles 2. it rather have patroling drones w a complex chasing sistem so ppl cant escape
People will always be able to escape because they can out-smart AI. Always. The drones would need to be able to fly at full speed and catch up to someone who is also going at full speed. Also, if said drones would chase the player, then there would be less to none defending the base right? What if someone attacks at that very moment? What if the person being chased lures the drones into a trap where they are being engaged by planetary defenses? Unless you build a big ship, small drones can't withstand enough to be able to fight the enemy without turret support.
What would happen if I just had a bomber, built a bomb with it, gave control over to your faction and dropped it? Or if I just had an armored bomb and dropped it?
As far as I know from recent playing on a server, you can't give your stuff to someone else anymore. You can add it to the pirate faction aswell as added enemy factions, but I wasn't able to override my stuff to my buddy who played on the server with me. I could only set it neutral, but neutral targets are being engaged aswell. Two possibilities: You either have an armoured bomb to ensure arrival of the warhead inside the base on impact, or you just throw armour blocks at him. Armour blocks do not have ownerships and are never targeted by turrets, so you could just throw a huge metal platform a metal ball at his base and his defenses wouldn't help him at all.
***** or........I could just drop a million rocks everywhere with a gravity generator along with the planet's gravity(for additional force!) to crush everything
+Sean Kim (HamTheSpam) Genius idea actually. Just have a big ship filled with tons and tons of rocks and just let it rain on the enemy. Gravity generators won't help at all. Either the planets gravity disables them or you have maximum velocity (100 m/s) by the time those rocks reach the ground anyways. But I like the idea of bombarding the enemy with rocks.... I shall experiment with that.
***** I remember someone(don't remember who) made a video about a gravitational rock cannon. the results were surprisingly good, just a couple of rocks were able to penetrate a layer of light armor, just imagine what 2 large crates worth of rocks can do. rocks rock!
now i have some survival base inspiration.when i have my new computer i am starting in creative and play ALL the rest in survival.due all my other bases are just like a box or a underground base or a mountain base.
Nope, anything that's not game-breaking is fair. So diggy-diggy holes, sniper drones, long-range artillery, or high-altitude bombardment are all fair game.
This isn't like minecraft where you have modded servers with plugins to assign ownerships to certain areas for specific people to build in while others can not. Space Engineers atleast as of right now, is like Minecraft vanilla. Everyone can do whatever the game allows him to do. You could disable weapons and or destruction of blocks / voxels in the world settings, but you can not prevent other players to raid you.
How to defend your base.
Step 1: Add thrusters.
Step 2: Lift base.
Step 3: Laugh at enemy ground assault vehicles.
That made me chuckle.
Rip earth uranium
you could also do it like this
Step 1: Add thrusters.
Step 2: hide the fact that your base can fly.
Step 3: Lift base.
Step 4: Laugh at enemy ground assault vehicles.
for space i use the battlestar galactica jump drive protocol.

I would put decoys on top of the pillsrs

Do you have a server?
"Server style defenses" *shows some defenses that were built via spacemaster/creative* good job.

And "our" twice but it's whatever I guess.
Thats probably a illegitimate game code, which means your paying 7,99 € for some one to get a hacked code for you.
Nope, it is from Bundle Stars. I just bought it twice by accident.
eyyy if youve got an extra code i could use one
And I could use my money back... ;) Sorry for being annoying guys. Won't repeat this.

That could take out your turrets
1. Build in the open.
2. The turrets will target it.
Yeah, it would also be able to go through the armor and destroy the reactors.
Build walls. If you can see over the wall, the snipers can see you.
well its not vanilla
so its not on all servers
you know there is a reason why static defences are useless in modern war

1, one could just hover above the pillars and take out the turrets from there
2, walls, well everyone has a darn jetpack
3, trenchs, well everyone has a darn jetpack
4, a minefield is 1 use only, you cant repair the ground in survial, having grinders underground how ever, it kills anything on the surface, and comes with the added bonus of collecting the materials
5, there was at least 2 direct ways under the base without hitting any of those turret caves, either there needs to be more in a overlapping pattern, or 1 big cave
6, the pillars could be knocked out just by shooting the buttom blocks
+kris220b
Make it a station and now it's immovable. Game logic is hilarious.
Thelothuo that depends on world settings
***** if you keep moving and carry enough H tanks with you
dogeing turrets is not that hard really
and about the whole pillars buying you tiime, well what if the attacker is in a different timezone and your sleeping, pretty sure that gives the attacker enough time to remove what needs to be removed
1: Build your base underground
2: Put some sensors around it (underground)
3: Hide the entrance well
4: Profit
Genious ideas, thanks. Also I know lots of people are asking but it would be cool if you make videos playing in servers like that.
why wouldn't u just bomb it from high enough or for a base just have a flying one? or am I over thinking it
ur right this base doesnt do well against bombers that drop warheads from high, high above
well the high number of gats will tare most warheads to shreads.
What if you drop enough that and least some will land a hit and do major damage
+samuel bell or one of those pillar things that drop from space
The thing is his lay out of turrets means inorder to take it out you must destroy the entirity of the base. Making the attack worthless.
Since voxel obects that get split stay one entity you could use tonnes of warheads to blast a crater but leaving the inner territory intact and build an underground floating base. deffences from everything unless some one is so devoted to taking you down that they use all their weapons on you.
That pilot crash was magestic.
I live by the rule of: if it looks stupid but works it isn't stupid.
Except the pillars don't work, the mines have a big downside (but they sure as fuck will suprise anyone trying to dig) and if the squares with the turrets will actually work, eeehh.
What are you doing out of the salt mines?
***** Not just in SE but in other games aswell...
***** If it looks stupid and doesn't work then don't use it/do it.
What if you try putting sensors on the bottom of your base that triggers an alarm if it detects something?
I think that a well coordinated ground assault can deal with almost any defence. Do some good recon, use fast and agile troop carrier trucks or even dropships and use a strong enough gunship for CAS and you're almost guaranteed to have at least some guys make it through the defences.
That's the common mistake of "My team is filled with the only competent people on the internet"
Ships firing on your base from space. how would one defend themselves from such a attack?
thats the coolest ground base i have ever seen
the pillions with the Zeppelin where from ww2, ww1 planes weren't widely used for attacks, rather more for recon
What about carriers and fighter
say some one enter you ship base e.g. and stole a fighter or carrier
I had this problem on a sever is it possible to recover system there e.g
How do you defend against orbital bombardment (like very high velocity heavy armor blocks)
Hope you've reached space and found a good asteroid before the enemies reach space.
what about using stone from space to bombard bases it's cheap and easy to set up would it be effective though
could you use a gravity pylon to pull down ships
Well, you are immune to ground attacks due to the current terrain issues. However that also means your own land vehicles will be disabled upon it.
do a massive henry class warship!
I place a turret and hit q and activate molten core?
what would it do to a death lotus missile tho?
Dont sensors see through dirt? If so you could just set up a warning siren for diggers.
How do you defend against automated drop pods?
You should turn this into a series
I was wondering if you had any ideas for defense against orbital bombardment of any kind like Warheads or even just heavy stuff rocks Etc
So how would a player without creative build those underground cubes and place that silly minefield into the ground?
They need to dig.
I found a mod where you can add voxels back.
Steve what is it called?
How do those boxes work.... You can't re-place terrain, sooooooo....
Also you need more pylons and you need to expand them out farther from the base
Its way easier to just dig a long Tunnel inside a Mountain and after some Corners and a few but good placed Turrets have your base. Its Cheap, easy ... and in all honesty if you dont be super obvious about it the best defence there is. (Maybe build a Landmark somewhere near from where you can locate your base.)
If you just dig out the entire bottom instead of having little cubes you can use a couple turrets and basically make it pointless to dig under depending how deep it is
How about digging a deep basement and supporting your buildings on long pillars?
Those pylons are actually both a good idea and IMO look pretty good
Communist_Penguin it's only a good idea if they are on outside of you're base and act as tank triss or used as barb wire defence you need dedicated aa guns with 360 view of sight or flank to effectively get rid of air.
And what would happen if the attackers were dropping from just above the pylons (flying over, jumping out, and slowing down with the jetpacks)? Sure, they'd have the turrets to deal with, but they're made their way in quite easily.
I think those pilots actually look pretty damn cool
couldnt somebody just shoot the pillars causing them to collapse into your own base, and possibly damage the buildings?
light damage, but good point. although it would be really difficult to shoot those pylons
also it seemed that they should be closer together because when he flew micro henry around, it looked like he was trying to crash and failed until he rammed straight into one
Hendlton Also true, but I was speaking about the situations when they'd be effective against fighters.
what about bombers, or maybe drop pods?
ehhh.. the best kind of planet side base for pvp is to drill 3 or 4 kilometers deep and make a massive ant farm. it should be relatively difficult for most players to even effectively FIND a base that deep let alone actually figuring out how to attack it in a effective and timely manner. you could set up an orbital bombardment station to drill down but by the time it takes most bases should have either hidden all their valuables/ spirited them away or have launched a effective counter/ built up more defenses. the only viable attack methods then become tunneling down to fight in the foreign and unfamiliar mazes filled with turrets murder holes and devious traps. this type of base is easy to expand as you simply drill out more area and becomes exponentially more difficult to defeat the larger and more expansive your network of tunnels and rooms becomes
You know whats even better than killing? Capturing
Wouldn't sphere gravity generators work
you should make a video of all the Henry variants
You should try building a ship that just leaves behind small outposts with defences and solar panels
anyone know why my ship keeps trying to do backflips? its a small ship, made with atmosphere thrusters
Are there rotors or wheels or pistons on your ship? If yes, remove them immediately.
Unless of course he wants to summon all powerful Clang.
it has a rotor door on it Q_Q
Bobo Won There is your problem there.Rotors are spawns of Clang, becareful with them.
Bobo Won Translation: the rotors always cause problems, from making ships do odd flips and turns to bloody EXPLODING and causing big chunks of your ship to disappear, especially on large speeds.
has anyone tried a moat system to capture Cyberhounds / can they do voxel damage?
cheers
I'd just capture a Mining Hauler or a Mine Layer and remote it into your base from above. End of base. Any surviving turrets would just exhaust themselves on the debris.
I Have a Question. How do i get a smooth fps on planets?
I have 16 gb
A 6300 6 core processor
And its 64 bit.
help
You don't, the game is optimised poorly and if you are playing online, the net code is absolute shit. Advice would be to have an Intel CPU also, what GPU are you running?
Be nice to see some kind of War going on between multiple factions
Underground turrets, underground bombs w/ sensors, and lots of tall poles...
6 and a half minute video for that
You could also put decoys on the pilons.
Just was curious as im currently browsing and i cant seem to find any good player filled planet pvp servers perhaps you can tell us or does anyone down here in the comments have one?
i would love to see footage from this server you are on
I always like to designate Henry as a 'Light Recon Fighter'
why don't you upload server gameplay
+That Feel lol
solution to any pesky base for me.
step one. Construct a Icarus class frigate.
step two. load said frigate with a single seat surrounded by a layer of armor and a single gyroscope with minimum thrusters.
step three. proceed to drop a frigate on top of the base with the term "universe's most high speed face plant ever" being screamed at the top of your lungs.
step four. respawn when your armored flight seat finally fails and you get turned into paste.
step five. PROFIT!!!
can you upload the world?
well there are 2 flaws
1. you can dig deaper adn your turent, trench and those cubes are useles
2. it rather have patroling drones w a complex chasing sistem so ppl cant escape
Unless you build a big ship, small drones can't withstand enough to be able to fight the enemy without turret support.
can u post this on work shop as a world ore a blue print?
Interesting ideas arron nice work
You should use this. Someone has to lay siege to the base and get crap... it would be pretty damned cool.
+Sean Kim (HamTheSpam)
Genius idea actually.
***** I remember someone(don't remember who) made a video about a gravitational rock cannon. the results were surprisingly good, just a couple of rocks were able to penetrate a layer of light armor, just imagine what 2 large crates worth of rocks can do. rocks rock!
is there a way to join this server?
how do you Seal a minefield in Creative Mode?
Just place big voxels over it. In survival though, I don't know, because the voxel tool is not available. Maybe just dig the minefield?
how do u do it in surv
You build underground. The question is how you do it in survival...
Republiken i mean without digging... hoiw do you fill the space between the mines?
Nordlicht05 You do it in creative
hell I need to binge all of this. this game looks amazing but I can never get into it because all the mp servers look so empty.
now i have some survival base inspiration.when i have my new computer i am starting in creative and play ALL the rest in survival.due all my other bases are just like a box or a underground base or a mountain base.
why is there no more joint survival
Wouldn't servers have set rules where you cannot build or dig within 1000m of a base whose faction is not yours?
Nope, anything that's not game-breaking is fair. So diggy-diggy holes, sniper drones, long-range artillery, or high-altitude bombardment are all fair game.
This isn't like minecraft where you have modded servers with plugins to assign ownerships to certain areas for specific people to build in while others can not. Space Engineers atleast as of right now, is like Minecraft vanilla. Everyone can do whatever the game allows him to do. You could disable weapons and or destruction of blocks / voxels in the world settings, but you can not prevent other players to raid you.
how do you find legit survival servers with more than 2 people on them?
good defense but it seems very expensive considering pcu limit. best ting you can do is hide in the void of space.
I never seen ANYONE to make a succesful drilling. They usually jam or explode. Inbuilt Space Engineers protection. Also, it takes a lot of time.
