doing this today with a similar gator and a superwinch 4000 meant for a kubota. Also used the short colored cables for the battery leads, then the longer ones for the run to the winch from the solenoid. I really don't want to splice the hot wire from the ign for the controller. I see a lot of extra connectors in the existing wire harness, so i'd like to do what you did. Not being an electrician, this is gonna take some figuring out.

Jesse N you got this! It definitely takes some time but it can be kind of a fun process if you let it. Thanks for the comment!

Great helpful video! May I ask what windshield you have and where to get the mesh/net doors for an 825i? Just purchased a 2012

Thank you for commenting! I am not positive on part numbers because I bought my gator with the windshield and mesh doors. Infusions John Deere keeps everything quite propriety, so your local dealer is usually the best (or only) place to get this stuff. Not ideal for the DIY person, but just comes with the territory.

Really helpful info about the yellow wires vs red wires in the stock John Deere!

Wires are super long because contactor should be mounted behins battery. Reason for short hot n ground wires.
