@@NeilB.Arnold Sir, do you know where the city is storing the 'dirt' /bricks/ concrete//... from the leveled building for the new construction? there is so much debris,eh? just curiosity of the citizen.Greeting from High Park.
I miss "The Docks" ! 0:50 What a glorious place for nightlife without disturbing residential areas. Oh, sorry Neil, that music in your video though! 🙉 I had to turn off the sound.
Watched many ball games at the stadium when I was a Tyke. Use to see the smoke stack from the lake freighters going across the center field wall to right field. Huh.....things I remember.
Neil, these current photos of buildings makes me cringe when I see the original buildings so well built architecturally and seeing what is called "architecture" these days. I don't recognise my home town any longer with no need to travel back there!
@@NeilB.Arnold I wouldn't know where to start if I travelled back there. I worked at the old Loblaws head office, the construction office was by the warehouse next to the Bathurst St. bridge. I also worked out of the Tip Top building many years later until Dylex died.
We have gone from "Toronto the Good" to "Toronto the Bland". My Dad cam to the city around 1912 and worked the bulk of his life downtown till he was 83 and now wouldn't know where he is anymore. Nor i for that matter.
Could you go back to the old format of using just stills ? Or mixing it up ? All this back and forth and up and down is making me seasick Maybe use the motion to film locations that have changed drastically. Sorry, I know you're trying to please everyone.
@@NeilB.Arnold You could slow down your panning, it might help for people who get motion sickness easily. And UA-cam is becoming more Draconian every day.
@@iancanuckistan2244 I'm with you too iancanuckistan2244. I'm glad you're another canuckistanian too ; ) Maybe Neil could do a left shot with up and down, and a right shot with up and down, without doing a full 360° turn around that makes us wonky.
Thank you so so so very much!
You are so welcome!

I remember when the baseball stadium was demolished 😮
@@railsedge5746 I had to look up the history of the baseball stadium, the city wouldn't cough up the 25,000, for repairs.
My Dad took me to a game all those years ago.

That's why I make these videos to bring back memories.
love the old pics! I'm not really a fan of the additional video, it's too long and I just skip through it.
Fair enough!

It's become a sea of concrete and glass.
I find that too, When I get the spot of the original photos, I wonder if I am even in the right spot.

I had to add that as UA-cam has a policy against using just still pictures.

Well, that explains why Stadium Road is nowhere near a stadium. It was at one point in time.
Yes, it does.

More of the old please. The new is corporate and boring.
