I followed this build on MB world 3 or 4 yrs ago! you made me buy a project 2004 G500 and used your build process and part nos to build mine. Glad to see you put it on UA-cam. Hope this inspires more pple to join the cult movement that is the G class.new cars now r shit and I'm happy I did mine,Im literally gonna drive it forever. Picked up a 1982 G Wagon and currently doing an OM606 swap on it to daily drive it. It's a G thang!
I agree with you, I am not a fan of the new ones. I test drove a nice 22 G63 and could not get past the loss of the front axle. I decided on a 2016 G63 and spent the savings on a nice H1 hummer and a spare g550 :) the prices on the new G dont make sense for what you can get for a used variant. Plus I like the extra 1.5L of displacement.
@@bentickner1 u know what's better than one '22 g wagon? 2 older ones 😂!! I'm glad you decided on that route 👌🏽. I'm doing one for Oberlanding with a full tent setup and the other for the city. No regrets! enjoy yours my friend!!
I purchased an original imported 1986 Euro/Grey market Brabus G Wagon. I'm working on it via my youtube channel. I will use this video as a reference as well. Thanks!
Nice Job I imagine what patience, money and skills need it to do done. Thats why mercedes did the second generation. So no more interchange parts to convert the old models with a new look models. I personally love my 2003 style. Is mine, I bought as personal gift and I proud what I have. the only thing is not original in my G550 is the poor interior insulation, so I did adding better insulation to reduce the highway noise and now feels very comfy and quiet :)
Wow! Awesome job! You know it will last especially with all the time and effort you put into it. I like the way you changed up the interior the way you want it. And the exterior looks even younger. Again great job on bringing it back to life!
@@MrAlexKobzar 1:39:57 Wtf is that? a cracked windshield? Alex A question for you: How many time consume this project from Idea to complete finish? Did you do something with engine? like full rebuild or service? or maybe tune it? or leave stock as it is?
Yes, a few days out on the road I got a rock chip on the windshield 😬 but it did not go anywhere. I had it fixed right away. This project took me about three years. The engine was serviced. Replaced gaskets, spark, plugs filters. It runs perfectly. I didn’t tune it or anything. I was considering installing AMG 55 engine but never got to it. I even bought some parts for it already but I’ll let somebody else do that. 😊
It's a mixbag of older and newer Mercedes-Benz parts. These include: - Power Seat Controls with 3-Person Memory - Window Switches - Steering Wheel - Climate Control
But on the inside, still an old 2002 model. The gauge cluster is from a 2011 AMG G55, the steering wheel, power seat controls and window switches are from a 2018 W213 AMG E63 and the stalks for the cruise control, turn signals and wipers are from an old W126.
Congratulations, you just achieved Eastern European Oligarch's security guard status. Did he honestly make fake intercooler radiator look-alikes for the front bumper?!
Check out this 2002 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG! It's originally an old 2002 Mercedes-Benz G500 converted to a 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. The list of original Mercedes-Benz switchgear are included in the list: - Power Seat Controls with 3-Person Memory (from W213 E-Class) - Window Switches (from W222 S-Class) - Steering Wheel (from S213/W213 E63 AMG) - Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control (from W209 CLK-Class) - Android 8.1-Inch Touchscreen Radio (Aftermarket Unit) - Black AMG Gauge Cluster (from 2011 G55 AMG) - Turn Signal Stalk, Wiper Stalk and Cruise Control Stalk (from W126)

Yes, I made fake air coolers for the front bumpers. It’s better than having a see-through or some black plastic there..
Very nice 👌

Looks like a 2013 to 2018 AMG G63 from outside.
Yes, I purchased all exterior parts from a almost new G63 that was being converted into Brabas
