My band of a few years ago canceled me because I was Vax hesitant and "I wouldn't be able to play live under the covid restrictions." Though, by the time my now ex band was ready to play live, the restrictions were LIFTED!!! EFF CANCEL CULTURE!

I am 50 years old, and back in the late 70s and 80s, it was letters to the editor that would allow us the public to have our voice heard. Also, phone calls to customer service used to work. Now, with a well placed tweet or post, you could go viral.

Social media is a two edged sword. It has made cancelling much easier. But it's also made it much more viable to be a successful indie.

Actually, step 1 would be to get rid of lobbying our political system. Politicians come in with good intentions but realize quickly how the game is played with lobbyists. If we get rid of the big money buying votes, then maybe we can get things done for the public.

Good video. IMO, people use social media to stimulate themselves..."look at my post" "wow...got a lot of likes". They may suffer from not having a balance in life. Maybe they lack family or they are not in a healthy relationship.
