THE good Old days of THE fa cup . I remember watching those games live on tv , saturday afternoon in Holland. IT was tradition back in those days. After THE game playing football outside.
Mick Jones was playing for Sheffield United against Arsenal in the first professional match I saw. He seemed like a superhero to this young lad. Hit the bar with a volley I seem to remember. When he transferred to Leeds so did I. I'm still suffering to this day!!!
I went past my grandads house Friday (long gone) and I remember watching the final in his house, literally 50 years ago to the day, one day out. Fabulous memories from a Liverpool fan.
I can not belive it!!! LEEDS UNITED is the best I thought they have never won a FA Cup final but I did not know because it was 1972. But if they do it again this year, it will be outstanding. Anyways , I`m a Leeds fan so when they win it this year, it will be outstanding when it is 2023. 👍👍👍😁😁😁
@@Ballyy33 But Leeds lost nine league games that season. That doesn't sound like that was them at their most awesome. I'm not knocking Leeds. They were a great team which is why I would have thought 1971/72 was not them at their absolute best.
i was at this match as a 14 year old really good atmosphere super day out from leeds, still got my programme nearly everyone stood up them days on terraces. leeds played that match on the saturday and as i remember had a match on the monday.
Chelsea v Leeds 1970, epic final, both teams would have had several players sent off over the 2 legs by today's standards ( I doubt it would be 18 sent off in the one match, the dirtier replay, but most would have had a yellow or red). But then again Spurs had no-one sent off last season v Chelsea when at least 4 should have had red cards and Spurs played one of the dirtiest games I've seen, I think it was just their goalie who wasn't carded..
I wonder what injuries Mick Jones got, looked like he fell awkwardly at the end. Strange but in injury time Arsenal seemed in no hurry to get that ball forward.

One of the best club sides ever from Britain. Even their harshest critics would have to admit it. But they deserved to win so much more than they did
Mick Jones, heart like a lion, my Leeds hero!!!
Bremner really reminds me of Roy Keane, Patrick vieira or David Batty. Just a no nonsense rock
And scored 98 goals for Leeds, five in major semi finals.
Great game
Super Leeds, loved them from boyhood in the 70s
When footballers were men & you could pronounce their names

David Coleman a truly great commentator.
The best ever
"One nil!"
Clsrke, 1-0, I remember it like yesterday- where did 44 years go so quickly?
what a great side Leeds were then, first final I watched.
Best remembered goal in FA cup history.

My fave English side ever. Just the way they played, awesome.
I remember that goal from Allan Clarke and the match as though it was yesterday great day for Leeds.
This why I love Leeds x
Billy Bremner. One of my childhood heroes.
My heroes,now and always.
71/2 season when they were at their most awesome .
No 1 cud live with them.
No one could live with them?
How do you figure that?
Did they win the League that season?
@@ppuh6tfrz646 no we didnt we got robbed by a bent ref once again.

Better commentary than the wailing and whining of today.
We easily have the best fans wherever and whoever we play! MOT
Super leeds
Get goosebumps when I watch this!!!
Geoff Barnett, Arsenal's goalkeeper, RIP.
Je le trouve meilleur que Wilson.
He was Bob Wilson’s back up for simply ages
I’m always enjoyed watching FA cup final from 1970 to 1995 until Sky mafia taken over FA. It’s killed footballs.

Yes, v Wolves and failed to win the title and the double, another close thing as in 71

That's how you collect a trophy, no waggling arms, no silly American tick-a-tape, just lift the trophy to your fans! That's how it should be done.
You are so right. I couldn't agree more.
I was only 4 years and 9 months old
Nearly all my team gone 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
COME ON LEEDS
What a great team and what a goal by sniffer
True, a brilliant diving header. Great angle from behind the goal on the old 'BBC Action Replay'!
"...an example of the Leeds one two"
no it wasn't this game it was the 1970 F.A cup final between Leeds and Chelsea
Hey Josh Do you have the full match ? If so would love a copy. How much would you charge me?
"...and, children, the Wolves ate up the little pigs on the Monday. The end."
I remember when this match was refereed according to modern rules a few years ago. I think there were three players left on the pitch at the end.

What on earth does Coleman mean when he refers to the “Leeds one two”🤷🏻♂️

He played the rest of the game with a broken shoulder
@@Briganteman Dislocated elbow....just saying.
Or faking injury to waste time.
He was in agony and didn't continue. His elbow was actually hanging out of its socket. Awful injury and now considered a medical emergency.
Heard a lot about this team. Mostly about how 'dirty' they were. I don't know about that but they were really good.
WERE CHEATED OUT OF THE DOUBLE HAD TO PLAY WOLVES ON THE MONDAY WITHOUT THEIR ENGLAND PLAYERS
Hey there. Do you have the means to be able to do me a full match copy?Name your price my friend
Did u get a copy after?
Haha the amount of Scots in an Inglish Cup Final : )
Kelly14UK Now you’re lucky to have either of each in one !!!
The entire Scotland team was born in England now
And the great Man United, Liverpool and Forest teams. Not to mention the great Scottish managers.
if england play like we did at that time, we will win the world cup. mot swilly whites
But Leeds did have some fine non-English players
Hahaha Few of those good players were English, and seriously, you need to stop dreaming of winning the World Cup.
I dont like this - all film footage of Arsenal losing should be destroyed.
That would take forever
No, win draw or lose, it should be retained
The good bad and indifferent
