youve had such consistent viewership, all your videos seem to have 10s of thousands of views at the very least. i'm surprised you don't have sponsorship deals! you're more popular on youtube than Roland Martin
This is by far the best and most informative fishing channel I've ever watched definitely glad I came across Mr Gene it's also pretty cool to see you fishing some of the same spots I've fished of course you catch way more than we do
Most humble crappie fisherman UA-camr out there. Never seen him use anything fancy all the time, never complicates fishing. Doesn't always promote any sponsors or bias, just simple facts on how to catch fish.
Y'all be watchin' out fer them critters in them thar' woods now, Richard Gene. Don't let 'em git'cha! 🙂🙂🙂!!! Love your sense of humor. Yer one of a kind, thar', big fella! Those were definitely some good-sized Crappie y'all was pullin' outta the Lake. Some of the biggest Crappie I've seen anybody catch so far this year. Keep them thar' lines tight, and may God bless you and Mama Sue!
Just got a fishing boat for my areas here in PA. We have some massive slabs in our lakes. I am using so many of these techniques this spring. I can't wait. Thanks to you Mr. Gene I will do better than ever. I have learned so much from you brother in Christ. Thank you. You are loved and appreciated.
A bobber and jig is my favorite way to fish for crappies. Especially if there is a little chop on the water. That chop gives the jig more action. Thank You for another great video Gene.
Thank you, Gene, fir you efforts and teaching. I've fished all my life in rivers, creeks, and small ponds. Never been crappie fishing. I just retired, gotta little John boat and headed to the WMA lakes(3) around me! I'm going a fishin cause it's good fir me!
RGTFM ! Thanks for your instructing the details of conditions for this technique ! I along with many more appreciate what you share with us. God Bless you and your family and God be with those in countries less fortunate!
Gene you always make me smile. I really enjoy your crappie videos. You've convinced me to use jigs now. I've always been a minnow man but I have learned enough to know where, when and how to get these slabber-dawgs in the cooler now. Thank you and keep up the good work.
As always, great informative video. I am fixing to be doing some muddy water fishing. Hopefully tomorrow if the rain leaves. Thanks for the tips and God bless.
Hello Richard- my name is Clifton R. Goins from Corbin, Kentucky. I just wanted to say that I enjoy watching your channel- I was brought up in the world of fishing and spending quality time with my Dad and Uncles on the Cumberland River catfishing mostly but catching whatever we could to clean and eat. Family fishing and camping trips were always filled with stories and discussing better ways to catch fish. I agree with you- fishing is a sport- second to none- no doubt. I recently purchased a new light rod and reel and some 6 lb test high vis line for it. I have the fever to fish and am really anxious to get out on the water and get after them. I enjoyed learning about ways to catch crappie with jigs with red worms as a trailer. Also- catching and using shad to fish deeper for them big bass. Have you ever thought of using an underwater go pro camera for when you are fishing the small creeks in your kayak or wading to get you audience a better understanding of what you are seeing? The glare from sunlight blocks the view when you see big bluegill. Sincerely- Cliff Goins, Corbin, Ky.
Hello Richard, I came here a few days late to say that we need a "go fishing when ya can, cause it good for ya!" Tshirt Hoodie and decals! Thank you Richard for all these great years. You're an amazing man and you've taught me such. And buddy I got a good woman and you've helped me be good to her. Give mama sue a big hug for me!
Richard, thank you for the awesome content! Your teaching method is beyond reproach and it’s always a joy to watch your video! Roll Tide and keep fishin’!!
I enjoy this site so much I don't even go nowhere else I can come here and learn more in 15 minutes and if I was on another one for a week plus I really believe Richard has one banana missing make it really fun
Been using that technique (but I used a weighted bobber) for 30 plus years on early spring crappie. When they come up shallow and hold around stumps and lay-downs, this method is a sure fire winner. I fish mostly on R.L. Harris, Neeley-Henry, and Logan Martain.
Where on Logan Martin? I fish a lot at night. My spot is the mouth of chocolocca creek, and on the main river channel in the heat of the summer near stemley bridge.
@@brandonterrell5271 Brandon, I usually fish shallow waters above the Riverside area (around Lock 4) with lots of submerged or partly submerged stumps and lay downs. Once they raise the river to Summer pool, this technique doesn't work quite as well.
great video richard your ability to explain things are second to none as you are as a fisherman but you still crazy and funny thanks richard god bless you and the family stay safe
Thank you for another great trip and good tips. Really enjoy your fishing trips. God has truly blessed you with you abilities. And I'll tell you, I enjoy your scriptures in the discription almost as much as the fishing.
Yet another wonderful fishing trip. Perfect timing ,creeks, ponds, rivers and lakes everywhere are filling up quick. Thank you so much for taking us along. We hope mama sue enjoyed them fresh slabs. Glod bless to you and yours Richard and thanks for the advice.
I hope you have one of those fish scaler with a motor on it and hooks up to a water hose. I don’t but I use the clamp on my fillet board to clamp on its tail. Then I use a pressure washer to knock the scales off. It works fast as all get out! Keep up the great content!
Great video as always, love to be able to get out there on the water and try to snag a few of them crappie. Doggone rain and work can't get out there to do any fishing, I think I'm going into fish depression 🎣🎣
I'm gonna get back to some corkin this year. I need to slow down and enjoy it more. I been rushing the fish. And this video reminds me I don't need to be doin that.
