I hope people are learning how to fish thanks to you because THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING THESE DAYS WE AREN'T GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE GROCERY STORE ANYMORE.
Thanks to you I caught my personal best black crappie 2.20 pounds and 15.5 inches long. I have been watching your videos for 2 years and today applied what you have been teaching about how to find and catch them. I searched for the shad and then used an underspin to locate the crappie. It Worked! Many, many thanks.
Pigs feet and buttermilk is about the most country thing there is. That is some Poe dunk grub if I’ve ever seen it. Great video as always. Love each and every one and am always waiting on the next. God bless
Hey Richard, love your videos. You gotta start replying more to folks in the comments. That would give folks more motivation, more WOOOOOO. If you know what I mean. You're the greatest man. You really are one of my heroes. AND REMEMBER.........
Mr. Gene my dad is retired recently and is an avid fisherman. He watches your channel faithfully and wants to see how he could go catch some slabs with you. It would be a dream come true if you could work it out thanks sir and keep on doing what you do!!
Love your videos! Always learning from them. Sometimes I catch myself watching your line while watching your videos. I love the passion you have for fishing and for sharing your knowledge of fishing. Thank you!
Just got out of the hospital, my third heart attack. You was the first video I went to open . You’ve in lighten my heart once again.God bless you bro, Mike
Mr.Richard I love watching your video for many reasons .....In particular.....your love of fishing and the outdoors!! And the fact I have the same passion for fishing !! They fill me with so much excitement waiting for spring and the crappie season to come here in Northeast,Ohio !! Keep em coming and God Bless you and yours !!
Richard you are so funny, I love all your videos. Thank you for all the great info and videos you have made me into a much better fisherman! You are the best!!!
Hey Richard!!!! I wanted to say I NOTICED THE EDITING AND I LOVE IT! Keep on being quirky yet the real pro fisherman we all need to tune in for. Talkin WOOOOOO
Richard that's what it's all about. If your wife loves to fish, take her fishing. Then she can see why we love it so much!! LIVE FOR THE THUMP MY FRIENDS!!! PS, need more videos with momma Sue in them!!LOL
I enjoy your show. Very much. My favorite camera angle is when you show the tip of the rod as you are working the bait back. You have a very quick hand sir, I can barely see the tip jump before you let them have it. Keep them coming!
That's a good looking net. Tell Elmo to only touch it to net a fish. Haha. We love your videos no matter how long or short. Your a blessing and a light to the world. God bless you and yours
Richard, you’re an awesome fisherman and a great teacher. I’m becoming a somewhat good crappie fisherman here in MN all thanks to your teaching. Keep fishin!
I love those blue eyes shad jigs 30 second ounce jig head I tear them up big large mouths too with a nightcrawler on the end thanks for the tips they really work
Its either BBQ Chicken or Electric Chicken. I have invested in several shades of Bobby Garland jig bodies including 3 sets of Bobby Garlands Mo' Glo. Those will be good for nighttime Crappie fishing.
Always enjoy your vids… 2 observations on white crappie that I’ve seen…. 1) I’ve found a 13” white crappie on top of the water still alive choking on a 5” gizzard shad 2) I gut hooked a 16” female 3 years ago that had a 3-1/2” bluegill in her stomach when I cleaned her White crappie have an appetite like largemouths and will eat any and everything they can. Stay safe and God Bless!!! Joe in MS
Mr.Richard Gene, you are legendary. I wish i had a family member just like you, but no there all boring, they rather sit and do nothing then going fishing with me. Oh well.
Pig’s feet and buttermilk. 😂😂😂 Hey RGTFM, Jimmy Houston is going to be at a church in Gadsden on Thursday night. I’m going to try to get by to say hello to him. Maybe you can make it!
You might look at Okuma products. Ive had pretty good luck with their brand stuff so far. The rod I would recommend may have been discontinued, but I think the Okuma Celio series rods are worth a look, and their Avenger series reels. Im not sure if they still make it, but they had a rod called a kokonee I think it was, in 7.6" UL. It has good action for Gills and Crappie. The celio I think is similar, and I'm thinking on getting one to try. Okuma isnt the only option, but not a bad one either.
My grandson catches bluegills like you catch slab crappie ! There's been times, he dropped a hook in the water, had a fish on it. One day, in less than an hour, he caught 32 good bait sized 'gills.
Mama Sue needs to fix up some snacks for you to save your taste buds! Jokes aside, I remember my Grandpa drinking buttermilk like that. Appreciate the tips and your video, as always!
Love your videos. Lots of great info. But I think what I like the most is you use affordable gear. Lots of fishing videos make you think you need $300 reels and $200 rods. You’re using very budget friendly equipment. Makes the average person realize you don’t need to spend ridiculous money on your set-up. Thanks so much for showing that
I always like video before watching it! Please pray for my wife Pam she is having surgery on Tuesday morning. Cancerous tumor removal in pancreas!
I said a prayer for you and your wife. God bless you and her 🙏🙏

Always enjoy your vids… 2 observations on white crappie that I’ve seen….

Docks can be very productive all year cause of the bait fish and cover they provide.
Mercy, mercy, you crack me up. Those were some good crappie.

I love your channel!!!
Thanks I needed that out take😄👍👍
That was a good video right there. I'm searching for a new ultralight rod & reel set for Crappie fishing myself.
You might look at Okuma products. Ive had pretty good luck with their brand stuff so far. Pigs feet and buttermilk huh?! 😁 I've never tried that combination before but I'm willing.
My grandson catches bluegills like you catch slab crappie !
There's been times, he dropped a hook in the water, had a fish on it.
One day, in less than an hour, he caught 32 good bait sized 'gills.
Like your videos but I wish they were a little longer. I know you fished longer than 8 minutes lol. Take care and GOD BLESS 🙏!
