Girl! You got to be the prettiest person I ever met, with the coolest vibe and the most beautiful hair on planet earth! Your DIY locks so so motivated me! See, I am one of those dumb people who fell for the sisterlocks hype. Paid through the nose for my lock - $1000 for medium length hair to a sisterlocks trainee. I did not research enough before doing it I guess, I only learned later that one can do braid locks or twist locks to start. Anyways, thank you for your videos, I thought I was never going to learn to self retight until I came across your hair. Yeah, my 1st complete retight accomplished over 3 days with little to no stress - thank you!

I hope you can do a video on the topic of locked hair lies they tell.....lol. especially sisterlocks lies! don't wash your hair for six weeks' braid and band', don't condition your hair, the list goes on and on of which all of it is lies, lies, lies! May apply to a select few. Maybe mixed race or those with naturally straight hair. If one spent any significant amount of time detangling loose natural, what could possibly happen to interlocked hair😁? Absolutely nothing! I tried to not wash the 1st 3 weeks. I had serous eczema for months from that nonsense!

@@Nollyfan I am a loose natural girl, but from my experience (I could be wrong) the eczema was from keeping the sebum build-up on your scalp. Your scalp needs to breathe. You don’t need to wash your hair with shampoo to get rid of it. And actually when you first stop washing your hair with shampoo, and stripping your scalp of it’s natural oils, your scalp naturally starts excessively spitting out all this wonderful sebum. I used that extra sebum to coat the rest of my hair. It slows down after a while. After using what I need for my hair, I take a little cotton cloth and wipe away the sebum and dead skin off my scalp so it can breathe. This prices has to be done with wet scalp and hair. When wet, the sebum a gooey paste, easy to remove and coat hair.
Disclaimer: I am a 7 year, loose natural girl with low density, 4a/4b hair that ONLY uses water on my hair. No shampoo. No conditioner. No gels. No oils. No products what so ever. I’m loc-curious. I’m looking for a new experience.

I absolutely love the look of micro locks started with twists because it gives a lot of volume, but since interlocking does compact the loc, I’m curious if the difference in diameter will be that noticeable as the interlock hair portion gets longer.

Tia J i dont think it is from the oils. I tried going without product for a week after a wash. The only thing it accomplished was making my hair super dry. I was still finding new lint stuck to my hair in that week. I really think it is just because I wear alot of cotton and because my hair texture is very cottony feeling. I heard one girl say she brushes her locs to get rid of the some lint. She had traditional locs.

Girl, the shrinkage is real! I literally washed my hair the other day and I thought I was done with shrinkage because my hair always gets wait but nope! It shrank up so bad and I was taken aback. Based on your experience, when did your hair actually start to see length? Like, to the point where your hair hardly shrank a lot like in the beginning stages? What month?

Kraxy Kam hmmm id say around month 8 was my last wave of shrinkage lol. So Im not sure that itll stop shrinking even now. Most of the time locs will stop shrinking once they are fully mature.

My concern is, and I would like to know if anyone else experienced this? When ever I braided my hair, and after about a month, with the new growth, if I pulled on the braid, it would hurt, until I took out the braid and combed out the new growth. Will It happen like that with locs, or will retie take care of that?

Congratulations!! Question, when did you stop braiding and banding for your wash?

Thanks! And I never braided and banded. My hair texture kept my twists together by making coils at the ends

Do you have the installation video please? I'm considering entering the loc family through twisting my hair first so your installation video will be helpful
