I love the Classics a lot. So, I would recommend "Crime and Punishment", if you haven't read it already. It has several translations. I have read Whishaw's. But the most popular translation is Pevear and Volokhonsky's translation. ( This translation is a bit more modernized but this couple is the best Russian translator out there.) Read whatever translation you love. The novel strikes moral dilemmas.
Other ones would be Demian by Hermann Hesse and Lost Boy by Christina Henry, which is a kind of dark take on the well-known novel "Peter and Wendy" by J.M. Barrie. We all love Peter Pan but it is from the POV of Captain Hook who is often antagonised in the novel or our childhood stories and cartoons. These are interesting books, but have a darker concept which I am in love with.
Btw I love your videos Prajakta. I have been a fan since years. Love a fellow reading enthusiast. ♥ ♥
    LOVE LOVE 🧡🧡

You should 100% read "the song of achilles" there is romance in it ofc... and it isnt exactly light... but the book is so well written it is amazing to read and impossible to put down.... Madeline Miller writes a modem retelling of the illiad, mainly focusing on the storyline of achilles and patroclus. Its heart wrenching in the best way possible. Your heart will break into a million pieces and you will love every second of it.

So 20 days ago randomly surfing YT, came across Shadow and Bone S2 promotional videos, binged the show (loved it) and IT WASN'T ENOUGH. I read the Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo ( part of the Grishaverse that SaB is based on) and it was so good! Since the Harry Potter universe, Grishaverse is the only verse I'm so invested in. There are so many little details, it keeps you hooked. Also the writing is impeccable. You should try it. Though read the books first.

I've read 7 and a half books from the books you've mentioned. And I completely agree and relate to your reviews 🥺. I'm so happy that finally someone said that book is better than the movie of The hating game. And yes, Alex is too much for me too. But Rhys Larsen and CHRISTIAN HARPER are loves 💛💚. You should try reading fantasy too, I'm sure you'll LOVE it!! If you want to read fantasy or sci-fi or dystopian, here are some recs:
    1) Shatter me series: it's an 11 book series but I love it and if you read it I know you'll love it. Atleast I hope you do 🥺❤️. It's dystopian.
    2) A court of thorns and roses (ACOTAR): it's a five book series. Very long books but amazing storyline and very spicy. It's fantasy.
    3) Throne of glass series: It's an 8 book series. Fantasy and by the same author as ACOTAR. It has similar setting as ACOTAR too, but not really. You'll love it!!
    4) The red queen series: it's somewhere between sci-fi and fantasy I guess. It's YA so no spice but the storyline is fantastic. If you wanna read a good sci-fi go for this one.
    5) The bridge kingdom: It's a trilogy but I've read only starting two books and that's okay, you can do that too. It's fantasy and very amazing I'd say.
You should also try paranormal/monster romance 😏. I don't know why but I love them. You might love them too. Here are some recs:
    1) A soul to keep
    2) Luxuria: a monster romance
Thank you to anyone who read my comment. I hope you'll love the books I've recommended if you give them a try
