@Sub2Pewds well if you read greek literature you will find similarities between the mythology stories for example the story of icarus and jatayu. Indra and Zeus same weapons. If we step aside these facts . Tell me how can monkeys are allies of ram. How can sugrev have boons or why these stories are addedd in Ram's quest of bring sita back. Just why? Or why there are not a single remains of mahabharat that shows that was real. Consider this the sages of the time was too intelligent they knew that humans will become cruel and forgot the purpose of life and goes deep down in lust and forgot about the morals. The introduction to the Critical edition of the Mahabharata actually gives ample evidence as to why many of the "myths" in the epics were real. Not 100% exactly like they were passed down. But geographically, archeologically and artistically, they were real.

Guys believe me I'm an avid reader what I've found is the books by above mentioned authors makes more sense than reading fiction.... In meme lingo - kids read fantasy books, men read fiction , legend read historical books.... Raja Ram Mohan Roy was one the core forces behind the de-Sanskritization of Indian texts. He was basically a British stooge, as claimed by experts in the field like Rajiv Malhotra and Abhijit Chavda. Why would you want to read books by such people ?

Sin was the Moon god Chandra🌙 and as the cuneiform symbol(𒀭𒊑𒅎𒀭𒂗𒍪, ri-im-suen)for ‘Rim’ can also be read as ‘Ram’ . *Ram Sin* 🚩 ,note the ‘sin’ 🌙, as in of the moon goddess, therefore implying a similar clan name to the Indian diety.
His brother *Warad Sin* was Bharat Chandra.
Rim Sin 1 wife *Simat-Ishtar* was Sita Mata👸🏻
In the Sumerian texts Ram-Sin is said to be from *Elam* which links him to Indo-Iran. Rama was the longest reigning monarch of Mesopotamia who ruled for 60 years. Bharat Sin ruled for 12 years (1834-1822 BC), exactly as stated in the Dasaratha Jataka. The Jataka statement, “ *Years sixty times hundred, and ten thousand more, all told, / Reigned strong-armed Rama* ”, only means that Rama reigned for sixty years which agrees exactly with the data of Assyriologists.
*Indus valley civilization* was actually Lanka which was ruled by Ravan. *Rim Sin 1* invaded the destroyed it for unknown reason. And gave *Lava and Kusha* to rule it and went back to Larsa.
Lava controlled area of present day *Lahore* and Kusha controlled area of present day *Kasur* .

The introduction to the Critical edition of the Mahabharata actually gives ample evidence as to why many of the "myths" in the epics were real. Not 100% exactly like they were passed down. But geographically, archeologically and artistically, they were real.

"Hindu madham enge pogirathu" by Agnihothram Sri Ramanuja Tathachariyaar. it is available in English. Once you read this your entire perception about Hinduism changes. Thank you, Madhuri. I do read Devdutt every now and then. Though his explanations are a bit shallow. But I believe he is a good place to start because he simplifies things for beginners.
May I tell you one thing Devdutt Patnaik is a biased writer don't have much knowledge about the sanskrit his knowledge is came from reading western historian... Otherwise it's your choice
